Hi, can i join please, not been part of this group for 4 years. So much stash to use and things i must finish. Happy New Year.
50 makes too finish or to make from stash.2020 Stash makes/destash 61/1509 -
hello, I'm joining again but realistically can't see me beating the 2023 total of 419 things
I would be trying hard to clear some of my own junk but instead today was spent 'saving the planet!' This morning 3 bin bags of assorted items to be washed & divvied up between doggy duvet covers, doggy duvet innards, strained blanket for dog coats*, items given away, & clothes for charity shop.......wacked. My own junk has not diminished one jot
I have already spent £11 on 100 x 8" zips from Amazon. A friend has Prime so no postage charges. I intend to make more pyramids to sell (and give) & last year bought some fabrics that would appeal to children: dinosaurs, bees, mermaids.
* rescue dogs in Romania won't care, as long as they have a warm coat!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Thanks @craftingmad. I'd like to join please.
I started reading the 2023 thread a couple of months ago but it seemed a bit late to join in. I have yarn.....so much yarn. Not all of it bought, I had a bin bag full donated by by nephew's girlfriend who was working as something to do with dyeing yarn. I have the reject skeins that didn't turn out as anticipated. When I added those to my already interesting stash I realised that I probably shouldn't buy anything for a very long time.
My "to finish" list for now
I'm about a quarter of the way through a knitted cardigan for me
I'm about a third of the way through a crochet throw/blanket (also for me, everyone else has one)
I'm about halfway through a crochet frog for my son (he's 19, he just loves frogs)
I don't have a target number of things to make but I am a member of "random acts of crochet kindness" on farcebook so there will be seasonally appropriate bits for that now and then. I'd also like to learn to knit socks but I'm not sure of long enough peace and quiet time at a stretch for that. If anyone wants to learn crochet amigurumi there is a YT site called Toristory creations who has made some lovely slow and easy videos. She hasn't posted anything new for a long time which is a shame but I did make the duck in a frog hat and it was so simple to do.
I'll give myself a budget of £5 a month although it shouldn't really be anything given what is in this room (our spare bedroom has become my craft room because of the sheer amount of stuff that I have) but £5 a month should pay for buttons or any other extras that I may need.

I have boxes and boxes of crafting supplies in storage at the moment. My long-term goal is to bust or move on as much as I can. This year though will be mainly about collating and listing what I have and working out what I can do with it.
Collating and listing sounds like a job I really should do too.

Didn't do very well at hitting target last year, but hopefully I'll be able to this year - concentrating on finishing the pile(s) of UFO's as well as actually doing some sewing.
I will put my target as 9 items for this year - that's 1 every month and a half.
Don't worry - I think I have been running this challenge for the last 7 odd years and never once managed to reach my target - hopefully this is the year we both will

I've never managed to master knitting either but give it another go this year as I have so much wool in my stash

old_fogey said:I would love to join again, it really helped to motivate me, and it was nice to finish some decades old UFOs. I will aim for the same target as last year 12, excluding cards.
I am starting off in a better position this year I know what supplies I have got, and where it all is!
I will keep track of what I spend, but not limit it, as it will just be material for finishing projects off.
I will be making curtains for the lounge and dining room first off so there will not be much other crafting going on. 5 pairs, 2 valances, I am not looking forward to it !! I will not include them in the totals, as the fabric isn't in my stash
Well done for knowing the supplies you have - I have no clue on many of the things which I have hidden away in drawers or balanced in piles around the house. I really need to take stock I think.
I'm really pleased to hear this thread motivates you - I know it really helps me to stay on track so glad it helps others too
