Today I spent more crafting money but it is coming from childrens craft group fund. (which is overspent at tbe moment!) I bought 15 really lovely new photo frames at a car boot sale for £7.50.spent the afternoon on the beach looking for shells. We can make beautiful photo frames using products from the isle of wight. I already have the glue from the mosaic so an afternoons crafting for 50p each. Also I had some exercise and had a fantastic day out in the fresh air. From the same budget I have also bought 20 x 10x10 canvases ( £37.98) and 2000 buttons (£11.97) to add to my stash and the ones in the club box to do button art with the children. This session is costing a lot but as the other 2 are nearly all from my stash, I am hoping that it will even out.
These are August craft sessions so I will let you know how they go. I will reclaim the money when the groups have been paid for. I had fun sorting my buttons into different colours yesterday. We are also getting all geared up for open day at community club in August. I have managed to get 5 more cards embroidered and have made up my used birthday cards to make a few cheaper ones. Counting that as 6. I am also busy making a crocheted bag that just needs sewing up. Once again I have loads of half finished projects but they do get finished quicker than they used to. I only need to make some lovely bags out of my left over curtain fabric and my craft cabin will be nearly empty.
My garden has taken a back seat whilst I am crafting but hopefully I will get around to that soon. Its a hard life being retired! 🤣I dont know how I ever had time to work!

Hello again.
Still not back at my best, but I’m getting there and getting a little crafting done.
@old_fogey, beautiful Christmas decoration
@Soontobeoap, I do like your mosaic. I really like those colours. What lucky children to have your craft club, especially at such a cheap price. The classes sound a lot of fun. You’ve been really busy with your own crafting too, by the sounds of it. I’m looking forward to seeing your makes.
@suzeesu2000, I crochet blankets from oddments as small as about 10 inches. I’ve almost finished another. I have to confess to spending £6.50 on Eb** for some oddments because my small ball (< 20g) stash was very low. I then came across an offer on AliExpress and succumbed to spending a whopping 96p (with free p&p!) on a pack of 12 x 25g balls of DK yarn in assorted colours. They’ll come sometime next week and I’ll find out next week whether or not I’ve wasted a whole 96p; I hope my bank a/c can stand it lol!
Happy (holiday) crafting.

Thanks for all of the lovely comments about mosaic. Finishing them all off at craft group on Monday. Such a good idea to do something like this in a group. 12 of us haveade a pot stand so far which has worked out at about £8.00 each and there are still enough tiles for another 2. It would have cost so much more to have bought the supplies on our own.
Love that card @old_fogey. So individual. I have started christmas too. Just started decorating baskets for hampers.

Hi @plumduff55, just found the pattern with the details of how many squares you need for the denim quilt, while decluttering my craft room yet again.
You need 4 x 12", 4 x 10", 14 x 8", 29 x 6", 78 x 4", 159 X 2". The sashing is 1" in width.4 -
Hi, lovely card and cross stitch @old_fogey.
Thanks for the info @Pink12345 - I shall take a screen shot and hopefully make it later in the year.I've finished the second school cardi for dgd starting school in August. It's in dark grey but lifted a little by the small flowers requested by dgd.
