I'm the same about my stash. Very occasionally I've donated some wool to a charity shop but only wool leftover from finished projects. I have a huge amount of dressmaking fabric. All bought on sale or when I've been on holiday abroad. I've only sewn one top in the last 15 years but keep thinking I'm going to start dressmaking again. I really must decide to either sew or get rid of it 😳
Edited to add that I've just remembered I made 3 summer dresses for my eldest granddaughter about 7 years ago.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

My stash is huge - I sorted out boxes of vintage trims yesterday - kept some but lots are going. I need to get into the ROD - my craft storage room - boxes in there that I have forgotten about.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi guys, I'm so sorry for being missing in action.
This year has been manic for me for so many reasons but I promise I will catch up on all your posts soon.
Well done on all your progress.
I've managed to get through this year without making my crafty stash any bigger but sadly not reduced it much either so far as I just don't seem to get the chance to craft anymoreMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.027 -
After writing the post this morning I decided to declutter my stash. I have taken out some dressmaking fabrics and some upholstery weight fabric as I'm sure I won't make anything with these. The dressmaking fabric I've kept are for simple tops as after all these years I'm sure I wouldn't be sewing anything complicated again. I have kept all my quilting fabrics as this is my favourite sewing hobby now. Here is a pic of some of my soon-to-leave stash 🤪. I still have more to go through but that's enough for today.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

plumduff55 - well done - get it out of the house asap so you don't wobble about getting rid.
I have lots of craft books ready to go out of the house.
I will go upstairs and sort fabrics this afternoon.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi Everyone, I too have been MIA due to various health issues, but things are looking good now. Although not posting I have been keeping up to date with everyone’s fabulous makes. I have been crafting up and down, pictures below. I have used up some of the mountain of fabric I have, but lots more needs using up. I confess to purchasing some white fabric as I had run out and as I like to make baby quilts, I felt I needed to.

Too late @Florenceem - I couldn't help myself but I've taken out 2 pieces of brushed cotton fabric I bought while on holiday in Australia. I'm going to sew a buggy quilt with it and if I don't make it within a month I'll take it to the charity shop ( going to be strict with myself ).
I took about a third of the fabric to a charity shop yesterday. I have to take a bus to the nearest town and it was too heavy to carry it all. But I've divided it into 3 bags and WILL NOT look in the bags again !!!
@Pink12345 your quilts are all lovely but I especially like the first one. It looks so effective. Are the blocks 9" each made up of the smaller blocks. It's a lot all work with all the sashing. I really do ❤️ it.
Happy crafting xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

@plumduff55 The denim quilt is made up of different blocks, I went looking on Pinterest and cannot see the pattern I used, as it gave the number of squares you needed in each size. Here is the link to the same pattern without the number of squares required https://ie.pinterest.com/pin/23081016834669226/. All squares are 2,4,6,8,10 or 12 inches. I will search for the original pattern, as I have put it away safely and cannot find it at the moment. LOL7

Thanks @Pink12345 - that link is great. Very self explanatory. I'll maybe try it in the future - my biggest obstacle would be deciding on the colours. That takes me ages xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order
