Finished a christmas present to me (from someone else). Took a bit of thinking as translated instructions in US crochet terms but great fun
it is the sunflowers in pot - the swans are made out of origami triangles and I made them a while ago from spare paper.

Well, here I am, late to the party as usual. You have all been very busy producing such a great variety of crafty deliciousness. You are so resourceful and imaginative - give yourselves a pat on the back!
@plumduff55, thanks for your comments. No it’s not hard to do the wee pics; I choose the photos I want from my phone gallery (up to 6, I think), then pick the collage option and it does it for me! By the way, I always love your little pouches and bags. I have some of that fabric you used for your Christmas tablemat, although not much now as I used a lot to make face masks. Your grandson’s hat is so cute. I like the colours too. Pretty little card – I like the way the buttons set it off.
@Auti, you come up with such great ideas – the pinball game looks great. Oh I love your cats and books picture! Those are my favourite things too – and my daughter’s (she’s a librarian), Now I’ve gone off and wandered down the fabric wormhole … it’s her wedding anniversary in March!
@emsi_b, I think your Dad will love his exploding box card. I have some of that blue superhero paper! Maybe you could add a label or layered square on one of the flaps to write your message. I never seem to have enough ds tape!
@Dizzycap, thank you.
@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine, Your paintings are great and I especially like that they are useful as well as decorative.
@Suzeesu2000, you did a grand job with your bedding – well done! Oh my, 1250 – that’s amazing. I gave up at about 1860 with my venture into genealogy! Maybe I’ll get going again one day.
@AlwaysAllie, I love all your wooden makes – and the wooden area where you’ve chosen to display them! When you see everything laid out like that, it’s a huge amount of work!
@nimbo, glad pay is sorted out.
@florenceem, I got that Hunkydory gift too; I love it, so I definitely love your cards too! You’ve just reminded me that I have made a friend’s birthday card with the new free gift and I need to post it tomorrow! The floor mat is a clever idea. I swapped my craft room and spare bedroom around, but the spare bedroom carpet has a thicker, longer pile and I have the opposite problem – my chair does not wheech about at all now! No like! That was a good rescue of DGS’s trackies. Lovely aprons too. I like those mugs of Roses for Mother’s Day. Your Easter mugs are cute too – and who can resist a cone full of chocolate. Lovely bunny packs too! And the cards are great. Do you ever stop?!?!!! Great fundraising.
@Pink12345, lovely wreath for Easter. I MAY have a polystyrene wreath in the loft somewhere, left over from making Santa face wreaths a few years ago ….
@CRANKY40, pleased to meet you. The shawl is lovely; I’m looking forward to seeing your cardi. Well done on the skills exchange – and on making a profit! What a cute wee moose and a pretty bunch of flowers!
Hi, @Velvet TV. Well done on picking up where you left off - and even more well dones for staying away from the temptations of charity shops!
@Tiggermad, bee-utiful Mother’s day card, great planner and a perfect posy – well done..

Loving all the makes on here. Definitely giving me the push to get a few things completed. Whilst doing my main xstitch, I've also been working on a bundle of cover kits. I've had some of these for years. I don't have the instruction page, just the picture so I'm not absolutely following the original design but its close enough or with some changes that prefer. Heres a couple I've done so far. Window cat is for someone who saw the kit and loved it, quilt on the washing line is for mothers day - again I've had these frames for years. Easter cards and pot plant will go into card stocks till needed. Or I might hand them in for our local pet rescue to sell if I get a big enough bundle done. I quite like them for at might, small enough to hold in hand and not a complicated pattern to follow.

@Florenceem your cards are gorgeous as always.
@Auti I love the sunflowers - I have a sunflower kit to make too at some point 😊The paper swans are so very clever.
@greentiger I have been doing crochet for years but I'm not good with patterns. Your banket sounds beautiful - the patterns for snowflakes and gingerbread men sound so complicated though 😟😊
@daisy_1571 I really like the cat and flower cross stitch. One of my favourites ever was one I did for someone of a black cat watching a fish bowl 😁
The person that the red shawl was for had a TIA then 3 days later a major stroke. Fast action from the ambulance staff and the hospital mean that remarkably there is little permanent damage but her family have put a smoking ban in place. As the person said that she fancied taking up knitting again I sent 3 pairs of knitting needles and 5 balls of yarn together with a couple of easy patterns printed from ravelry. All were gratefully received. I have the knitting needle stash due to clearing out the house of a friend who died. The friend left instructions for me to take whatever I wanted so a big jug of knitting needles followed me home (amongst other things).
I sewed the eyes onto a frog that I'm making for my son last night. I just need to make it's legs now. I started it before other things got in the way so it's been a few weeks in the making. I also need to declare spends of £5.06 last month for plastic eyes and £4.79 this month for pink felt and a box to keep all the various sizes of eyes and noses in (I have discovered over several projects that I'm no good at sewing noses on things). The pink felt is to make little triangular noses for small creatures. Total allowance left for the rest of the year £50.15.
I also tidied my "bits and bobs" drawer while looking for the various packs of eyes/noses to put in the box 😇8 -
Yesterday I finished a dragon's tail for world book day dress up- it's Toothless, from How to Train Your Dragon. Pattern from scratch and ended up using an over locker type stitch to assemble it as I couldn't turn it the way I was planning! All completely from stash (which does leave me a bit conflicted about trying to use up as much material as possible- I may keep a base level of items in for just in case moments!).
I'm still doing very well at not buying anything- I broke three needles whilst sewing but have asked for replacements for my birthday. Very pleased that I have managed to not spend anything else even though I've been very tempted! I probably won't spend any birthday money on craft stuff either (plenty else I've earmarked as necessary spending it could be put towards).

Forgot to update my totals for toothless, and with three mother's day cards, now up to 12/200 (need to get a wiggle on!!)
I used up almost a whole sheet of decoupage doing the mother's day cards (only small ones). One layer I decided not to use as didn't fit the card well, so I'm going to use that on a card by itself. I need to stay at home for potentially two days this week waiting for a lease company to come and replace the tyre on my husbands van (he's thankfully getting picked up by colleagues so he can still work), so I will see what I can get done whilst I'm waiting.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025
