    Thanks @liselle :)

Now for a bag... I have a maroon one but I think it's the wrong sort of maroon and perhaps a bit too sensible for a wedding... will need to look in daylight. Meanwhile I've been browsing Vinted (again).

Today turned out to be productive. I started out on the right foot by getting dressed straight away, which really helped. I've done two loads of washing and the start of the ironing, some bits of cleaning and baked some little cakes for DH to take to the quiz tonight as I knew he was a bit overloaded with things to do and he still has a cold.

All that meant I was pushed for time, but I fitted in half an hour's hoovering at church and just about got round the areas I missed yesterday. I'd forgotten they would be setting up for the women's conference tomorrow, so I was hoovering around tables. I could have gone to this but a whole day with people and no one in particular to go with sounds very tiring to me. Mind you, I've been to some excellent ones in the past.

I'd learned from past experience that going home between church cleaning and work is a bit much, so I took my work uniform with me and went straight from one to the other. I was quite tired when I finished but I had my overnight oats ready. Lunch had been a curry from the freezer, so I had plenty of energy to get me through to that point. So all in all I'm happy with how it went. Nothing more spent.

    And the list:

Pay the window cleaner - not done
    Collect jacket - not done
Leave feedback for items received - not done
Put mixed wash onto the line - done
Put hot wash into the machine - done
Pot up one of the houseplants - not done
    Finish church hoovering - done
    Work at 4.30 - done

@Cherryfudge - I'm on the hunt for a bag as well - I have 4 coming from the big river site and will return what does not work! Have found two dresses for the two occasions.  Already have the shoes and found the perfect bag for one outfit but still hunting for the other. The 3rd dress that does not work is going back!

You put such a lot of effort into your story telling, I bet the children enjoy them immensely 🙂

I'm thinking the children must have so much fun in that group.  :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I find it's hard to be sure the colour online is the same as I'll get. It's a real shame about the pink jacket but it just wasn't right. Well done for getting so many pieces for your various occasions.

    Try Vinted for bags.
You have reminded me - I spotted a lovely little bag on Vinted and I've favourited it. I really ought to check if it's still available!

I'm not sure about the children, but I like doing the stories! I learned this morning that the added extra of arms on the puppets (wooden spoon puppets are very basic but I used rolled up wadding to add arms) made today's puppet much more expressive. I do find the children all want to hold a puppet, which increases their involvement, so long as they don't get distracted into hammering on the table with them!

That's so kind of you! Generally they do, but it can take a while for them to settle, which is partly because of the stage of development they're at (just learning to know when there's no parent present).

This morning's children's session was nice: only five children so we had a good adult/child ration despite there being a small child who needed to be carried all the time. It still took ages to clear up and I missed a Ghanaian jewellery-making session that was held afterwards (we have links as a church with Ghana). That last was a bit of a regret but I really don't need jewellery so it would have been about learning the craft and handling the beads.

DH was still feeling a bit ropey: his chronic condition is present though not badly, he was still fighting off some bug that's going around then he had a tachycardic episode as well! Thankfully, after a restful day, he is looking himself again: the spicy meal (another plate of chickpea tikka - other foods are available) settled his stomach somewhat, the cold-or-whatever-it-was has run its course and the heart rate settled down. He's not had an attack of that for months and it often happens on a Sunday morning so he thought there must be a common cause. It's been linked to his tea intake before, and it occurred to him that he's had grapefruit too. One and a half inside 24 hours. He looked it up and it can affect heart rate, so possibly there's a link.

I have spent time sorting out more houseplants and doing a bit more in the garden. There are now seven plants to rehome, all divisions of ones I'm keeping. Three of these are claimed by various friends so there are four to give away somewhere!

I had a look back at my 'to do' list of the other day and several things can be ticked off:

Pot up one of the houseplants - eleven now done!
Pay the window cleaner - done
    Collect jacket - done
Leave feedback for items received - done
Put mixed wash onto the line - done
Put hot wash into the machine - done

I've also realised I probably forgot to mention our ride out yesterday afternoon in the hobby car. Top down, while we can! We went about ten miles to keep it turning over well, and I remembered an apple tree where DH has permission to pick up the apples so we collected a handful. I had also picked up some from the area around the electricity substation the other day, not going near the actual substation, obviously. There's a lane leads to it and this particular apple tree leans over it.

Another thing I forgot was that we fitted in a short evening walk one day when I didn't have work - Thursday. It was dark so we went to the outskirts of town and took photos of the constellations I recognised, and of a tractor working by the light of the moon. We don't get as many evening walks now, as I'm often working, so it was nice to make the most of a clear night after a gorgeous evening.

Both my parents couldn't eat grapefruit due to some medication they were taking.
