That was interesting - no coupon available & also no coupons available for the last 6 months. I'll try again next week.

I'm currently discovering I changed my Nectar password and my phone still has my old one but it letting me in because I use my fingerprint... why it left to me to find out manually I don't know. Surely these things update automatically across sites? Perhaps not. Anyway there's that one to solve before I get a kettle!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

When I looked I remember looking before & there were none then. I wonder if it is because there are no big supermarkets in competition around here. We only have them, a small Asda & the aldi & lidl ones which are not really in competition for the items they give coupons for.

I wonder if you are opted out of marketing? (I opt out of all sorts of things nowadays so I must have set my preferences a while ago!)I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I think I was in before but if I wasn't I am now. I did used to opt out of all these things years ago. Thank you so much.

I didn't get any MrT coupons for years, opted back in and started some about six months later. 100 points if you spend £5 on coffee type of thingsMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I had 'fun' maximising the current vouchers this evening, as they expire tomorrow. I only intended to use the one for fruit and nuts so I topped up supplies of flaked almonds and sultanas, both of which we use a lot. That came to exactly the required spend. Then it occurred to me that the other coupons (teas and coffees) could be used towards Christmas presents. I couldn't remember what coffee pods D uses, but worked out that exactly 5 of my boxes of cappuccinos covered the required spend for coffees, and they were on offer so I would have bought them at that price anyway. After that, I spent ages deciding about teas and in the end treated myself to a fruit tea and bought a couple for stocking fillers too.
Then I got to the till...
After I'd paid and was packing the bags, it occurred to me to check the receipt and I'd not been credited for one of the vouchers. Cue 3 different shop assistants trying to work out what was wrong, and eventually the person on Customer Services worked it all out and added the £1.25's worth of points to my account. She advised me that sometimes the coupons don't scan and to go into the coupon on my phone while at the till, tap the bottom bit where you can reveal the bar code, and scan that. I have visions of impatient queues behind me in the future.
All this techie stuff is far from fool-proof.
The result was I have £4.75's worth of points added to my account, which would be £9.50 off a railcard next year if it weren't that I got a 3 year railcard this time around because it worked out cheaper. *Sigh*.
Other than this, I got the ironing done and tidied a forlorn corner where things had piled up. It's clean now and a few bits went in the bin but mostly I've just moved them: a bit disheartening. I also discovered a gift card that had fallen down the back of furniture and I'm almost sure it's out of date. One day I'll pluck up courage to log on and check.
I've still to finish preparing for tomorrow's session, but some of it's done, including assembling a bag of towels for the water play! I looked out the receipt for the kettle, which was ordered a year ago next week, so it's just within replacement timing. I couldn't work out where to apply for that but DH has sorted it for me. Meanwhile I've ordered a new one. The laundry got slightly drier on the line but I put some through the dryer. Not MS but I don't want wet towels hanging around more than necessary.
I will edit this later with costs, as I want to get my hair washed and dried before bed.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I ended up rewriting the story for the children: easier to do it in my own words so I can overact to my heart's content. The original version has lots of audience participation so I've played on that. I've also made sure I have the material for next week's leader to leave for them to collect.
Twelve craft kits for making frogs are assembled and ready to go. If we have twelve children we are going to have to ask a parent to stay and help, but I think ten is the maximum, and that's not all that often.
