Mil left the executors, of whom he was one, £1000 each.. he can have that from the cash.. we don't care if the house isn't sold for 10 years.. it doesn't matter really.. We haven't had the money to miss it.. and it is only money.. while it is very useful so long as you have food on the table, a roof over your head and your health what more do you need?
Merry New Year all.xxx
Fudge and cheese and crackers in the kitchen and wine in the fridge.. help yourself WAC ... I'm sick of all the clutter, I need someone to eat it.
I may be uncross enough to try to go to bed now.. I'm not sure why I am cross other than OH is an idiot.. 12:05 he is outside screaming at the neighbours to *go away* from the front of our house with their fireworks.. why are men so stupid on occasion?? He never yells at anyone, yet there he was yelling in the street like a wild man! My mother is annoyed with Pa.. and another couple we know have split up... again both man issues.. are they all having a new-year crisis? Is it the new thing as well as a mid-life one?? lol.. Hopefully sanity resumes tomorrow! xx

Good morning lovelies
Thank you Round, I’m joining you for a cuppa. So pleased I properly tidied up last night. DS even mopped the boot room and kitchen floors for me (50p well spent on my part IMHO!)
This year, I will be building on the feelings and strength I have been building over the last few months. So many things still not quite finalise that should be. My focus will be on pushing those through. My hopes are that my DC remain healthy and happy in this bonkers world we live in. The saga with DDs arm, then the bullying at high school, brought into sharp focus how harsh the world can be to young people at times. I need to be there for them with every fibre of my being.I need to keep my animals fed and happy, run this old house and keep living on a tiny budget. Above all, I will be HAPPY.Thanks to each and every one of you for being my friends. You’ve been there at times when I’ve felt truly alone in this world. Here’s to friendships in 2024 xxx11 -
Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well, and happy.
Sorry you're having drama with your extended family again piggers, hope it gets resolved soon. You are right, health, happiness, friends and family are all far more important than money.
I too think all new years should start on a Monday.
This year I'm planning on working on the house. Lots of jobs that need doing, have needed doing since we moved here. Dadtoomany officially retires this month, he'll get his state pension, but still work his socks off. We will have a tiny bit more money to compete some renovations.
Right, finished my coffee, off to fly. DW first, then washing to sort and put away.
Hugs to all my friends on here, and anyone not yet my friend too. Hope the new year brings you all that you need, and some of what you want. Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -
@pigpen sounds like his anger and frustration got redirected to neighbours. They are odd creatures!
.
@roundtuit hopes and dreams are to get Mr F settled into his new job, be more independent, have a better control of my anxiety, and lose weight
Happy new year folksMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Good morning to all my fly friends,
Love the list, Valli, of course I am in. Well, any list that gives optional flying has to be a winner in my book…!
Well said, ASB. Thank you all for being my friends on here. You’ve made me smile and pulled me out of some dark corners along the way. And you’ve listened to my drivel, which deserves a medal.
Narc0, I am firmly in the dislike NY camp. Apart from the bank holiday - I quite like that bit. My personal new year is September, as that is when I feel the most positive to make changes. Otherwise in January I find that I can’t get over the massive things that I want to change, and then get thoroughly depressed that I can’t climb mountains and the F-word (no, not that one!) comes into play.
But, inspired by YL, I have a new yoga mat, and I have every intention of using it. So, there, a kind of resolution for the record.
Here is to us all for another year xx8 -
Happy New Year everyone - here's to our first Flylady Thread of 2024 😘
I have one prominent new year resolution and that is to be more prolific with my postings in the group. I always read but then get distracted and don't post.. So in the spirit of this thread I am going to post more often on here especially as I really need to declutter the moving boxes (still packed since we moved here in September!) and get the house how I want it. So this will involve more flying now..well actually start flying again..lol
Hugs to all on this New Year's day ❤️❤️Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

September is my New Year too. But I'm looking at having a second chance for a new beginning. New Quarter maybe? Hmmm 🤔 Actually that sounds like a plan. Review dates 1st March, 1st June, 1st September (birthday to me), 1st January. More doable than a FULL year. S.M.A.R.T. goals. Chuck us a notebook please Fayolle I need to write my goals down. Ta.

If anyone spots any page per day diaries please can you point me in the right direction? I tried to find one in our little town before Christmas and no luck. I have a calendar but really, really need a diary to track other things.7
