Love this thread and fascinated by all of your finds. Regularly prowl a local charity shop near me but yesterday met a friend for lunch and afterwards trawled through her local ones.
Zara basic puffer jacket £7.50
Wallis jeans/jeggins £6.00
Scarf £1.50
I had been looking at
smaller thinner puffers in P*Mark at £15.00 so glad I didn't buy it. 8 -
Did the walk to the Stone Circle and another to a cross thingy. Not much open in the town but the Museum of Childhood in the old railway station was interesting and they had the best coffee and cakes in their cafe! Dingwall offered up four chazza shops including one with free apples, a box of free china/kitchen bits and a 10 items for a pound section! Came away with a berry coloured wool skirt for £3 and a book about Tartan for £1.50Floss said:Miro, if you get chance, go to Strathpeffer, there are lovely walks around there.
No 🐬🦭 sightings today but did pickup lots of sea glass on the beach 😊8 -
DSis and I stayed the night in Dingwall on leg 2 our JoGLE hike back in 2021. Was one of the worst BnBs we'd ever encountered (hairs in the bed!) and I remember DSis posting back some shoes in the Post Office and us getting a bed picnic from Tesco. Don't remember seeing any chazzers but probably wasn't in the right frame of mind at that point!

Another one who is amazed by the finds here. Love your haul, especially the jeans/scarf - there seems to be a lot of that colour in the fashion mags at the moment too.popthekettleon said:Love this thread and fascinated by all of your finds. Nobody asked, so I guess I am the only one who doesn't know but - what is it? what does it do? how did you know?Frith said:Just bought my first stocking filler! For older son who has his own house and loves a gadget...

I wondered what that gadget did too!
Popped into village cafe for a lunch with a friend and obligatory visit to the charity shop next door. Lovely chat with a lady who was buying a linen dress, a boden coat and a puffa coat all at £1 each as the shop was selling clothing at £1 an item.
Couldn't find any clothes but found a box of 10 red taper candles for £1 and a box of 6 white ones for 50p. Delighted with these. I like a candle but they are so cheap in the charity shop I keep to buying them there.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
