@janb5 plagiarise away! LSA is a rather pricey glass manufacturer and designer - the type you find in John Lewis (hence the nerves about keeping the plant in there) https://www.lsa-international.com/✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Thank you so much! Mystery solved. My orchids thank you too! I must admit I had not heard of LSA and was amazed at the prices at John Lewis. How much did you pay for one at the CS if you don`t mind my asking? You did really well.
Often when I go to CS with an item in mind, I can never find them!7 -

I miss our local car boot. Used to be the biggest one in the area and you did struggle to get round it all due the size. After to a family death and redistribution of the farm to the various beneficiaries it had to end.Not found another one that seems worth the effort as yet.
there was a little bits and bobs I liked. Picking up a pack of printer paper for a quid instead of the £4 it is in the shops, that kind of thing. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I had a bit of a revelation this weekend having spent a couple of days in the West End - I find shopping no fun at all, unless its at a chazzer!
However I had an exception to that experience the other day. I was driving into town and spotted a chazzer previously unknown to me so found parking and prepared to go bargain hunting. The 20% off a £10 spend poster on the door was designed with people like me in mind! Inside was a different story though. It was a boiling hot day and the front door was open, which would have been fine had it not been for the amplified singers stationed across the road. It was fine for a moment if walking past, but that plus the heat was cutting through my resolve to have a good rummage. The cherry on the cake was the volunteer behind the till eating a meal at her counter - plate, fork and knife at 3.30pm, I kid you not! If she couldn't wait / had missed out on her lunch why not stick the closed / back in 10 minutes sign on the shop door? The last thing I wanted to do was interrupt someone's meal so I was out in under 2 minutes. Needless to say I was empty-handed.

I don't bother if the shop looks crowded...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

OTOH I was in the BHF on Wanstead High Street yesterday which was lovely - in fact were having a bit of a sale, many items were 25% off and a few 50% off. But whilst I enjoyed browsing, all that ended when the place filled up with people so I couldn't actually get to view the books or ladies clothes properly, for example. I had already picked up a tube of pretty-looking buttons for £2 though:

A trot around Northallerton today, and the circus was in town in the high street…..thought I was going to come away empty handed but in the final shop, Cancer Research, I found a nice Seasalt dress, (with pockets…yay!), £6.95 and a pair of navy B/N ‘Zac and Rachel’(?) trousers ££7.95. ‘Did’ all three local car boot sales this week-end and came away with nothing from any of them!Love the buttons! Reminds me….I still have my grandma’s button box that I used to play with from being a toddler! It seemed such a treasure trove back then 🙂10
