I like the grey one too. Very classy. It is probably a good idea to buy a coat at this time of year from a chazzer.3

All lovely.
I got up too late for Bedale and let DH do Thirsk on his own - he came back with a really rather nice watercolour.
I was in Cancer Research yesterday and came out with a recipe book that I'd wanted: One Pot, Pan, Planet by Anna Jones. Hardback, £2.80.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

We’ve recently been gifted not one but two orchids. We are now a 4 orchid house. I really dislike keeping them on display in plastic pots and they don’t do well for me in ceramic pot cover doodahs that the rest of the plants hide their plastic pots in so…. a stop off in the CS shops for glass pots/vases was called for.One lead crystal rose bowl / bonbonniere and a LSA hand made square vase later and they’re looking much classier!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

That does sound classy, @florianatwobob! Are the plastic pots inside the glass? I've marked a few pieces by not having a good lining between glass and plant (hard water leaves a mark, for instance, that is almost impossible to get off) - but I think an orchid in lead crystal would look lovely.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I’ve potted them straight into them @Cherryfudge, The one in the LSA has rather poorly roots so I’m not convinced it’s going to make it which is fine as I’m quite taken with the vase (I currently using a large ice bucket by them to hold my reusable make up wipes - nothing like repurposing). If that orchid does perk up I’ll find it a new home. Most of my orchids are very lucky to see much water so not too worried about that at the moment.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I like the idea of repurposing an ice bucket, that's another touch of class!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That’s pretty much my approach @Cherryfudge The other two get a spray periodically and a splash of water when I remember….benign neglect. The plus of the clear/glass pots is that I can see the state of their roots. Plump green roots don’t need watering, silvery or withered roots need some water.

Finally a bit of CSing! Did I mention my OH dragged me into a shop recently? Once of the Cancer charities who are selling some of their own stock (so new) which is all bees. Well I'm a B as are my 3 brothers and my oldest bro tends to refer to us as the 4Bs. So going to visit soon and I've got the C-word present exchange list where my and my OH are buying for 2 out of 4Bs. So bought the reusable shopping bag from the cancer shop which features a big bee on the side so they'll each get one of those and I'll be going back to get them some of the bee themed socks.
And then Saturday I met with a friend in Poole and we went down the high street and hit as many of the shops as possible. I didn't buy too much but spotted one had their own (again new) little note books which are labelled "bee-kind" so a got a couple of those to go in the B bags. And for myself as well as I need a notebook for work. My friend bought something in nearly every shop but her best success was one shop where they had a huge stack of crafting paper. A lot of it was National Trust designs and apparently is quite expensive but was selling for £1 a pack. She got into quite a tizzy as there was so much and so many designs but doesn't need a lot and certainly couldn't have carried it all home! Stuff like this sort of:
Pattern Paper Pack - Summer of Love - like Watercolor Florals - 16 Single-Sided Sheets - 12"x12" Collection - Scrapbooking Card Making Crafting - by Miss Kate Cuttables… : Amazon.co.uk: Home & Kitchen
