Love the bag. It’s the kind you can jazz up with different funky straps. I have a smaller one but am currently on the lookout for one that size.Miró said:Well, the chazza fairy was looking out for me today! Been looking for a bluey pink bag to go with a particular dress for ages. Wanted a decent quality leather one but at a good (cheap!) price. Found one today in the Sue Ryder shop in Northallerton……Italian leather, b/n & priced at £10 😊
There are about 8 charity shops in Alnwick itself plus the fantastic Barter Books. Amble which is a few miles away has a couple. And Alnmouth and Warkworth are just lovely to visit.6 -
My niece was telling me about Barter Books just the other day. She's a bad influence.Potternerd said:There are about 8 charity shops in Alnwick itself plus the fantastic Barter Books. Amble which is a few miles away has a couple. And Alnmouth and Warkworth are just lovely to visit.
So am I, as I sent her Mum to the York Oxfam bookshop. Someone's got to keep them in business.

I couldn't resist Googling Barter Books - looks like an amazing place!! I need to take a trip up the North Sea coast!
At 340 miles away it will be a pilgrimage

Have you been to Baggins Book Bazaar in Rochester? It's the largest second hand bookshop in England.Rosa_Damascena said:I couldn't resist Googling Barter Books - looks like an amazing place!! I need to take a trip up the North Sea coast!

Can’t say I noticed that but whole forests of election placard thingies with our PM’s name on seem to have appeared everywhere! I wonder why 😉Cherryfudge said:Well spotted @Miró! Those are lovely.
And did you find wherever you went there were stall holders talking to other stall holders about the election?! Even so, it was a good morning.

@Matty246 - as luck would have it, I'm heading towards Chatham within the next week, Rochester is barely a detour. I need to carve out proper time to do it justice!

Summer at last! I bought this Monsoon maxi dress (image from eBay) the other day for £4, not sure its really my thing and I doubt I'd wear it outside, but it fits well and is ok for wearing round the house on warm evenings so its drying nicely on the line today:

Also 3 books for £1 and this acupressure mat for £2 which I've also laundered. Currently retailing for £24.99 on Amazon:
I'm not 100% sure what I will do with my bed of nails, but its nice to have options
