@Brie and @Wednesday2000 thankyou for the Taylor Swift recommendations, like @Miró I have somehow missed out on hearing her music but would like to know at least a little bit about someone that so many others enjoy so will try your suggestions.
Welcome to the thread @FreetodoasIlike and I look forward to hearing about your bargains when you find them. the BHF shop here is my favourite because of the very nice staff and its location between Sainsby's, M*rks and the library as well as the great things that are donated so I'm glad to hear you chose your local branch for your mother's things and that they sold so well. I bet that suite made someone very happy. I agree with you about reusing and not throwing away perfectly usable items, in fact I found some useful bits for my allotment in a skip behind a local church just the other day.
@Miró wet and cold here yesterday, torrential downpour during the night and cold and very windy here today. I'm so glad that @Brie confirms that things will improve soon! I love your LA jacket, perfect for the current weather too and I should think the M&S top will look very becoming on you. Sorry to hear you're also suffering from visitors, the tourists hereabouts are prone to wandering backwards into the road as they focus their cameras so we all have to be very careful not to run them over with our bikes and scooters which is a pain.
@florianatwobob - that waterproof jacket sounds just the ticket for this month's weather and nice and cosy into the bargain.
I did a trawl up and down the crossroads in Headington today and came out with the complete Sex and the City series box set for £8 in total and a Biscuiteers book for £2.50, a Modern Flexitarian cookbook for £3.95 and a Sabrina Ghayour cookbook for £4.50.

Well, the chazza fairy was looking out for me today! Been looking for a bluey pink bag to go with a particular dress for ages. Wanted a decent quality leather one but at a good (cheap!) price. Found one today in the Sue Ryder shop in Northallerton……Italian leather, b/n & priced at £10 😊

ohh love that handbag! No finds, still dropping off car loads myself though as I declutter. Two large framed pics and about 20 books in car boot along with a dress I can't get into. The dress I could sell but I'm overwhelmed getting the house into some sort of order so happy to donate.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
Wow you've had loads of good finds @Miró - but at the prices charged they would drawn my admiration but have stayed on the rack! I had a spot of luck on Friday, popped into one that is open only p/t hours and bought 5 books for 20p each and 14 items of clothing inc scarves for just 50p each! They are waiting for the next full day of sunshine to be washed - which is likely to be Wednesday - so I'll post pics then.

I went to the Cornerstone and bought three tops this morning. One was pink and two were white, but I'm thinking of dyeing them more bright pink for the concert. I also got a dark red dotty dress that I had spied the other day and was still there.
I also bought a glass jug as I had a hankering for homemade lemonade. I am going to make that later as it is very warm here today. That all came to a very reasonable £12.2025 GOALS
