@Frith - Snap! I bought exactly the same dress on May 15th this year from Age UK, unfortunately it didn't become me in the least and had to go back. Hope it looks better on you.
I had a quick look into my favourite bhf shop early this afternoon and found this Tangram biscuit cutter, £0.50, one of the Ikea ice trays, £1, 3 nice dvds all about animals, £1 each, and another in the Australian Women's Weekly cookbooks series, Salads, £2.

I had another wander around the charity shops in Leigh-on-sea this time with my friend. I saw these two bags and one of them will be coming with me to Taylor Swift.
If I wear the pink bag it means I need a pink outfit now for her album Lover.

I was passing the original Oxfam shop just as it began to rain today so popped in to wait it out and found this very "interesting" shape stollen tin on the shelf for £2.99.

Nah……..team sparkly here! Not so girly and will go with so much more.😋
Wot a wet and ‘orrible day today….reduced to joining the hordes in the Thirsk chazza shops. We now have coach loads of bargain hunters to contend with in Thirsk…..harrump! Anyhoo, in the Herriot hospice shop I managed to pick up a B/N Laura Ashley, brown, down filled coat for £8.50….RRP was £90! Also, earlier, doing a fly-by in Bedale got an M & S smocky top for £3.95. Is it ever going to stop raining????Sorry to go O/T but what is this Taylor Swift known for in terms of music? She seems to be something special but I wouldn’t recognise any of her work! Could anyone suggest anything typical I could listen to to get some idea of what she is all about as I am clueless? Thankees 😉7 -

Rain will stop at 10:14 on Monday. A little robin told me so.
Love Story was the first of Swift's songs that I heard - 16 years back!!

But Shake it off is my favourite just because it's so much fun and makes so much fun of other singers videos.

A bit late, I know, but may I join this thread? I commented a while ago about charity shops on another thread, just to say I never go in them and that maybe I should? I was amazed at the bargains found - particularly Helen and Wednesday (on that thread). Where I live (small town in the north of England) there doesn’t seem to be much available, but then again, I don’t really look! I once (years ago) got a lovely green wooden jewellery box, which I still have to this day. I guess one man’s (woman’s) junk is treasure to someone else. When my mum went into a care home two years ago, I donated everything to the British Heart Foundation. Yes, they did quite rightly charge, and I also made a donation, but it was lovely to hear the feedback from the Manager. We couldn’t find a fire mark on the (nearly) new suite she had and I was told they couldn’t take it. Such a pity, as I had recently had it professionally cleaned, along with her carpets. The lovely removal men said it was “rubbish”, the suite looked new and in exceptional condition, and that they would find a fire mark. They DID and thankfully the suite sold to a grateful customer (who also gave a donation). It’s not just about getting a bargain is it? (although that’s a bonus), but re-cycling and not throwing things away that someone else will use.

Lol about Taylor Swift. I was not a fan until the pandemic as I was so bored stuck inside that I started listening to different music mostly on YouTube. I was always very indie/rock before 2020.
I listened to her album Folklore and I was hooked! She is staggeringly talented and has so many good songs and music videos.2025 GOALS
