On House of Games tonight one of the questions was “how many charity shops are there in the uk?”   The answer was £10,200

I think I have a lot more to visit 🤣

I see that as a challenge! Maybe we should start 2025 with a group target, to create a mapped portrait of England through the medium of...chaz.

A little trip to Otley this week and I picked up an M & S fine silky long sleeved cream T-shirt for 99p.  I always pick these up when I see them as they are great to wear under tickely jumpers or just for a bit of extra warmth.  Fortunately M & S do them in a wide range of colours  Also got a suit cover thingy in the 20p shop.

Just back from a holiday where there appeared to be no charity shops!!  Yes I was in Wales!!!  But on the drive back we passed through Bath and I spotted an incredibly posh place that was all antique furniture.  If I could have seen a place to park I might have stopped.  OH was also snoring loudly at the time so it would have meant  waking him from his beauty sleep.....

They go in for clothes sharing, the Duke of Edinburgh has one of his dad's coats and the Princess Royal has a few things that were her mum's.

I've not bothered my local shops for a while, but as I had some bits to donate I went for a mooch.

Local hospice shop yielded a Hobbs wool dogtooth sleeveless dress, M&S deep beige merino long roll neck, Laura Ashley thick stretch denim dress and a long green / blue tunic.

The MIND shop yielded an ivory Autograph cashmere jumper, grey Boden sweatshirt dress, long grey woollen tunic & a baby blue Paul Costelloe fair isle merino jumper.

Hopefully William Windsor can spend some of the money he's saved on his tenant's houses.

In other news, I bought 3 BN books from Barnados at £2.50 each / 3 for 2; 3 scarves (one more like a thick shawl) and a tray for £3 so I was quite happy. Won't get laundered for a couple of weeks though.
