Well today marks the beginning of a new era - I have officially retired!  A couple of months later than I originally planned but today was my last day in the office (I'm in Aus so a bit ahead of all you girls timewise, my working day has already finished). Tomorrow I'm off to have a facial and some pampering, followed by the hairdresser on Tuesday.
Congratulations. Here's to a long & happy retirement

Thank you all, I am very excited! @helensbiggestfan I'm taking my inspiration from you - you always have such a zest for life, that's what I'm hoping to emulate.

Well I had an unexpected treat of a free haircut this week. I usually go to my local barbers shop and had been dithering about not going as they change the opening times sometimes and busy with seeing to elderly parents (along with my siblings) anyhow ended up using the lass who has just opened her hair salon on site where parents live. I am going on holiday a week on Monday so it has saved some of my dithering time to get some else productive done.
It was DS birthday on the 11th and we went out for evening tea as a family (7 in total) and I used a brush full of face powder...go me  :D Avon are not likely to make any more money from me. This item I have had for 30 years plus. I must try harder  ;)

Isn't it funny how things change. As we are trying to UU stuff we currently use the Aldi lime basil & mandarin fragrance in the bathroom. I have the original Jo Malone one which I have started to reuse and now actually think the Aldi one is better, not telling DH that till I've used it up.

  • Well done on the free haircut @2Scratters. Hope you have a lovely holiday. I agree Aldi’s lime basil & mandarin is gorgeous. In fact there are quite a few good copy fragrances around. Like a nice smell but also like to keep the pennies in my pocket.
