Hello Lovely Ladies.Scratters. Well done on the weight loss, that's fantastic. Enjoy your winter break. Where are you going. (Dead nosy me😂).MB2. We have been having a lot of grey murky days here recently, and of course the clocks go back at the weekend so it really does feel like "Winter Draws On".The anti inflammatory diet seems to be working, three weeks in and I can already see a marked reduction in my pain levels. It does mean needing to be well organised of course as it means avoiding all convenience foods and cooking everything from scratch but it's well worth the effort. I am getting back into the habit of batch cooking so that I have easy pre cooked meals for when I'm busy or those cba days, I have been experimenting with non bread type bread iyswim so I don't feel too deprived. I'm enjoying doing more proper cooking again.Have picked up some great chaza shop bargains recently, mainly kitchen and household bits and bobs. A couple of winter dresses, and a nice cosy cardigan, embellished with sequins and embroidery. Warm and glam. Lol. Oh and a skirt from eBay.Am booked to see a house next Wednesday. 🤞. Hoping its "The One". 😉5

@helensbiggestfan we are off to Tenerife. In an apartment. This year there is 4 of us one up from last year. We don't particularly drink as we are daft enough. Have you ever tried laughing quietly out on a balcony late at night? we make more noise trying to stifle the giggles. We are all over ah hem 60...and no we don't intend to behave it just happens. This year the suitcase size has shrunk even further. I will be taking less obviously and I always bin my tatty knicks for a bit of a lighter load to make space for presents that may be bought.
just realised what I have written... my knickers are not bloomer size
I do tend to take an opportunity to discard some clothing otherwise if it gets home it won't leave the house. Like everyone else, we are having to make money go further we will be supporting local small businesses there with some essential bits that we can't take with us.
We have a friend who has made big steps with her finances with a lot of support and help from us. She is a GA member. We are so proud of her. She does not know how well things are going on in the back ground of her finances, this will be declared at the end of the year.

Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!! Just typed a post and lost it. Frustrating.Anyhoo how are we all. I'm doing ok. Not making as much progress as I would have liked. The Frump is still very much in residence. I really must kick her to the kerb for once and for all. Lol. I shall keep fighting her to the bitter end. Going to give myself a facial today, haircut on Tuesday. I'm not going quietly. Ha ha.Viewed a nice house yesterday. It's a contender so unfortunately right at the top of my budget. The nice ones always are - of course. I have got 4 more viewings this week. 🤞🤞 My dream house is out there somewhere......maybe she's just being shy.
I can scarcely compute that it is November already and that Christmas is now just round the corner.Where did 2024 go. 🤷♀️4 -
Hope you find your dream house soon.
I'm feeling quite frumpy at the moment. Been trying to find a new winter coat, but everything that seems warm, also seems to make me look like the michilin man....lol. The big padded coats just don't suit my shape and all seem to come in such boring colours. I can't wear black and refuse to wear beige. I want bright pink or red, but all the nice coats in that colour are more like smart coats and I am after something that will be warm for walking, especially when we are on holiday in Yorkshire at Christmas. Its so frustrating. Also the fact that I seem to be between sizes, so everything either hangs on me or is too tight when I move my arms! Going to to a tour of the CS;s on Thursday to see what I can find there.Making the debt go down and savings go up

MB2Not quite sure what you had in mind but I noticed Regatta Outdoors (online) have a half price sale on at the moment. They had red insulated waterproof jackets. Different styles and lengths, £20 to £40.EBay also have some Regatta jackets on clearance sale.4
