Happy Birthday Helen, enjoy your celebrations. How time goes on, it was 5 years for my Husband 3/7 , cruelly taken by MND. He is always in all our thoughts. Still working but have dropped a day. Love a 4 day week!. take care everyone x

happy birthday @helensbiggestfan , you’re doing so well. Widowhood can be challenging at times. Be kind to yourself xxx@Makingabobor2 I just try to be sensible, I tried benecol but then discovered, for me, too much UPF in it. So now I have occasional scrapes of grass fed butter, Kerry gold. Always whole grains for everything, lots of nuts and seeds. Loads of fruit and veg, swopped Greek yog for 0% fat variety. Porridge or soaked oats. Almond butter, peanut butter. Reduced sugar (never sweeteners) although when on holiday I‘m exempt. 80/20 idea to reduce stress as socialising so important, especially when we live alone.Lots of fish and chicken, pulses and lentils.Currently reading a very interesting book called a statin free life, only on chapter 1. I always had a clean, cook my own food diet, so in reality there’s not a lot to change.5

Home sweet home.Had a lovely birthday and really enjoyed staying with family for a few days but oh so nice to be home, even if it's chucking down with rain. Time to just catch my breath and chill. I can get cracking tomorrow.Interesting chat about statins. I guess it's like anything else, if you can find a way of avoiding meds by making a few simple lifestyle adjustments then all to the good. Now that my birthday celebrations are over I really must get serious about losing some weight, I think I'm at my heaviest weight ever and I really don't feel very comfortable. My own stupid fault,
No more excuses.......Lol.Hope you are all well and keeping up with the fabbing.5 -
ooh, I must look up that book @artistlifestyle , sounds interesting.
Hope you had a great birthday and time away Helen.
I'm slowly starting to regain energy after having covid in June, so will start to feel more Fab now. I seemed to have stopped exercising so much, so really need to get into that again. Onwards and upwards againMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Thanks. They are all by different authors, so would be interesting to see if their opinions are the sameartistlifestyle said:
