@SandyShores. My GP gave up on me after my hip showed nothing and the MRI scan showed wear and tear of the facet joints. She just recommended NHS group physio (twice a month) which was absolutely useless. I’ve tried a few private physiotherapists but never a chiropractor so I will definitely look into this. I feel fine now after my funny turn bit I must admit it was scary at the time.

It works for me Freetodoaslike, just make sure you get a chiropractor who treats the whole body not just the area that's giving you pain.  If I was looking for a new one I would ask them what kind of treatments they use and whether they treat the whole body or just the area causing the pain.  For example, mine also does a bit of massage, uses a massage machine and a kind of clicker (which I prefer because I don't like the neck twist movement).  Previous chiropractors (interestingly all men) have just done some clicking/twisting and nothing more.

I also recommend this physio's website for some self diagnosis or complementary exercises - there's a few ads but he's also got a fb page which is probably better.

Taking care of my skeleton and muscles is definitely a priority for me, its the framework for starting to be fab.  I love the memories Helen, it sounds amazing.  Another one here though that probably has hearing loss from the discos and nightclubs we used to go to.  We quite often used to go outside at the end of the night with ears ringing.  I haven't had my ears tested yet, not sure where to start, but I definitely have some issues.

I don't generally have hearing issues the exception being telephone calls, I mainly use the phone to talk to my kids or grandkids and they all use mobiles and I think the sound quality isn't as good as a landline but maybe I'm kidding myself.

Maybe purplepixie, but my mum has one of those old cordless phones and the sound quality is awful.  Much better when she's on the mobile.

I suppose it varies with the model, the connection etc.  I find them doing handsfree is the worst, I think they must forget and look away or something and the sound goes right down.

My good news is I actually got a GP appointment.  I've had problems with chest infections since covid in February 2022 but only ever had telephone consultations.  Well after nearly choking to death in the night when I woke up in a coughing fit and couldn't get my breath I pushed for an appointment and got one.  He's a new young doctor, only just joined the practice but he was very nice, very thorough and he said I have very little air intake in my left lung.  I have stronger antibiotics, sputum test tomorrow and promise of an xray in 2 weeks if things aren't sorted.  I feel like I've won the lottery.  Crazy isn't it, 2 or 3 years ago I would have just assumed getting a GP appointment was straightforward.

Oh that's awful @thepurplepixie, I hate not being to catch my breath - had a chest infection earlier in the year and it feels like someone is sat on your chest.  Hope you get things sorted.

Yes my mum has a cordless phone from the ark, ours is fine (I think).  With the mobile phone, if I take the cover off she seems to be able to hear me better, but I never thought it was about the handsfree - will give it a go.

I had a bacterial infection in March and also felt like I couldn't breathe at night, especially when I turned over! It is horrible. I had to be on 8 antibiotics a day for a week.

I am feeling very un-fab at the moment. I am going to book myself in for a haircut and I need to book the hygienist too. I think I will buy an electric toothbrush. I have so many problems with them though as they always seem to break.

We are going to the beach today with my dog as it is meant to be nice weather today. I am going to have a hair treatment beforehand. I have had a massive declutter of clothes and I need some new ones. I always usually go to chazzers, but I think I need to buy some new clothes as I can't seem to find anything I really like lately. I just need a few go-to summer dresses.

Wednesday.......I could do with a shopping trip for proper new clothes too, the chazzers have been very disappointing of late.  Maybe I'll have more enthusiasm next week.
Yes. It is strange. I thought the chazzers were really good when I moved here, but I haven't found that much lately either. I wonder what the reason is.

I feel much better after my lovely coastal walk this morning. It was quite hot by the sea and I think I have caught the sun a bit. I use SPF 25, but maybe I need to up to a higher dose.
