Thanks @peb, @facelessnumber and @lucielle!
Balance is apparently ticking down this last month of interest, so won't show actual zero until 16/12/2024 which is annoying, but it shows me as in credit so that is fine I guess!
I am going to thank Mounjaro for this, as because the injection is working, I have not needed the loan for bariatric surgery, so could pay it back. I own over £3k of this loan so that is also nice, paid interest for every penny I now have though haha. And without paying the loan back, I can now afford to absorb the Mounjaro into my monthly spends and hopefully have a few pennies to save.0 -
Weekly roundup
Holiday: £19.87
My savings: £1350.77
Mortgage: £31.64
Holiday fund: £123.90 (£234.32 October PADs).
Loan OP since Oct 2023: £1763.99/£1792.45. Loan is now gone! Hooray!!
Loan is now My savings until I can think of another plan for it, great savings this month, we got back pay from work so this was a lovely boost. I am wondering, if the PADs from my account could become OPs for the mortgage. Maybe I could try in December and see how my savings get on. I think my new wage will be about £100 more a month before tax so hoping with that as well can manage injections and savings without too much issue. Would feel good to send a little extra to the mortgage frequently, the house account sending to the holiday is working so this could be a nice side step.
Have edited to add in mortgage, no time like the present right? I put aside £31.64 specifically in PADs so this has now gone to the mortgage!
Already debating quiting the gym, I am not really keen, the treadmill feels so much harder to walk on than actually walking, and time is so slow, even with good music! I do 'like' the mountain climber, but could go up and down my stairs? A bit hormonal this week, so not sure if that is why I feel like this. Also, have found there are never staff around to ask questions, felt my introduction was pants, and having issues with login details that no one seems to be able to manage!!! Although £32 is probs not a lot of money to many, it is too me on top of the mounjaro, there is a small less posh gym closer to me which would be cheaper, but I thought I would get better support at this gym. Next payment due 1/12 so need to decide what I want to do before then!0 -
Do you use the gym?Do you enjoy it when you do go? Doesn’t sound like you doWould you do exercise at home if you didn’t go to the gym?If you answer no to the above and yes to last question then I would cancelCould you do a trial at the cheaper one if you missed going to a gym?MFW 2025 #50: £1139.75/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

Thanks @MFWannabe, I only joined this month as the weather is too horrid and dark to get out and about, but it is just not the same as getting out and about! I do struggle with motivation at home, so that is where I might get stuck! I have been going twice a week and it is hard to be motivated.0

How did you decide which ones injection you use?

@lucielle I researched the different options and weighed up what I felt made the most sense for me, I have a lot too lose and when I was researching- back in April this year, Mounjaro had the best weight loss outcomes and I felt the risks were worth it on balance. Not looked into it again since, just stuck with that one!

Month review: Notable November!
Holiday: £149.38
Loan: £5127.38
Joint Savings: £610
Mortgage: £183.02
My Savings: £1350.77
Both myself and DH have cleared our remaining debts this month, and are completely DEBT FREE!
It feels good to start to look at sending money to the mortgage and holidays, without feeling like the debt is hanging over us.
Have cancelled the gym, just not right for me right now. Went for a couple of walks after work this week, but not as much as I would have liked- had a family gathering and family popped round another day, and once I am home its hard to go for a big walk. Thinking of ways to do movement at home, where my motivation is lowest! I can now do a little jog up the stairs without getting breathless, and on one of my walks this week, I did a little jog on four occasions, just to see if I could! Definitely interesting to see what I can do.
Work has been really busy and I have felt quite stressed all week, making me feel so tired. Glad to have a week off, though anxious I have missed things and things are going to go wrong in my absence- not much I can do now!
Off to Copenhagen tomorrow, all dogs and guinea pig are being cared for and sorted, I have not packed properly as I am finding it so hard to know what to pack with only 10kg cabin bag- only away two nights, three days so possibly overthinking this! As long as I don't get soaked/covered in food, could probs get away with just clean underwear, socks and change in t shirts!!!!
