Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 1st Quarter 2024

I’m a bit late to the party but would love to join in.I weighed myself today and I start at 160lbs, ideally I’d like to be 140lbs and a UK size 10 but I’ll see how my body changes and assess as I go. I carry a lot of weight around my middle and a bit on my upper arms so once that goes I usually go into maintenance mode so I may not get down to 140lbs. I’ll be happy to be a size 10 again so that might be more realistic.Just before Christmas I started the C25K, I’ve done it before and I find it very motivating. I’m on week 4. My aim is to run 3 times a week for an hour each time and do yoga once a week to stretch and strengthen my body. I’d like to incorporate some weight training too but I’ll need to see how I get on over the coming months. I have form for setting too many goals and not managing to stick to them so I’m trying to be realistic. For the rest of this quarter, I aim to lose 5lbs.Food wise, I plan to fast daily 16:8 and cutting out snacking. My diet will be similar to now with a few tweaks to reduce my sugar intake.Best of luck to everyone here. I look forward to reading your progress.Save £12k in 2024: £13,542/£12,0004

Good morning all.
Reporting in with my first Monday weigh in and pleased to say -4lbs
I'm calorie counting but being on Annual Leave I've had tea out and brunch out with friends this week and wasn't really sure where I'd be. But I did hoover the stairs and landing to try to use up those surplus calories. It must have worked!
Back to work this week. Hoping my colleagues will play fair and not keep offering me cake, biscuits, sweets. I'm ready with a firm 'No thankyou' and an evil glare if they persist.

Down 0.5lb today, slower than I'd like, but moving in the right direction. Managed to avoid a takeaway on Saturday, but did replace it with a frozen pizza still...
Oh well, onwards and upwards. In the office today, so hopefully that will minimise snacking.4 -
Morning all, hope you're keeping warm! I might need a kick up the bum to get out for my daily walks this week brr! I need to get outside though, as I work from home. Good luck those doing C25K.
Happy to have managed a 3lb loss somehow this week please @Brambling. I have been calorie counting, drinking 2ltrs min of weak squash daily, walking, yoga, and a bit of painting things (decorating!). No booze either :-)
This week's menu is a protein shake for breakfast, homemade soup, a roll and fruit for lunch, and a healthy evening meal with lots of veg. I have fruit for a snack, or a 100cal bag of crisps. I've also got some dark chocolate bars from Christmas so I can have 2 squares of those as a 100 cal snack.6 -
