2024 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

It felt really cold last night. I got into bed and realised I had left a window open in our bedroom! I had to have the portable heater in there for a while to warm the room up. My husband said it was very cold and icy when he went out to do the bins.
This morning I cleaned the blinds in the bathroom which were gross! I had been putting that job off for a long time. I have cleaned the sink and loo, but need to clean the bath and shower later. I have ordered a bath tray that is arriving today that you can put your kindle and glass of wine etc... on so I want to make the bathroom nice beforehand.
I did look through the cleaning stuff in the bathroom drawer and took everything out and cleaned the drawer, but didn't actually declutter anything apart from some cleaning sponges and cloths.
It is chilly, but bright and sunny with a lovely blue sky. I have got a podcast to listen to on my walk today. It is about the company Ashley Madison. That is a website that you can go on to have extra marital affairs. I had only heard about this as I am on a forum with Americans and they were talking about the scandal when lots of people were exposed as cheaters. The hacker or hackers exposed the identities of over 30 million Ashley Madison users. Anyway, that might be interesting to listen to.

Hi all, had a really bad night, was up about 3.30 being sick for no discernable reason. Only eaten what OH had had. I took ages to get back to sleep as I was very cold after being in a cold sweat and eventually got up and put on a more substantial set of pjs and socks and wrapped a big shawl thing around my shoulders and crawled back under the duvet. I woke about 10 feeling fragile and have had 2 cups of tea but still not feeling great. OH is working all day today so I am still wrapped up in bed and I have put the heating on.
I wanted to get the hard plastic to the tip today as I got distracted by ln when I was heading in to put the 2 bags in the car but I am not sure that is going to happen. I think I will go through the magazines I set aside to see what can go
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Take care everyone

I'm working from home today, so had a chance to do some housework before logging on - dust and dirt decluttered 😁 I'm aiming to do all my housework today so I don't have to do it tomorrow.
Unsubscribed from one mailing list and deleted 34 emails (now only have 658). I'll get there in the end!
I'm thinking while I work if there are any more physical things that can go ...!
Hugs to all those feeling under the weather today.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Jackieo, I have my lovely mils tiny wooden spoon. Never seen anything like it and I coveted it for many years then I got it 👍 lol. Its got a normal length handle but a flat round head like a halved golf ball size. I just love it and swither between using it as I love it, but also worried i'll wear it away.

@London_1 thank you for mentioning Angel Delight. It turns out butterscotch flavour is gluten free, and I had a pack in the cupboard that expired (but only last month!) so I had it for breakfast. Oh Liverpool Anne, take care.xx
Thanks Granny kate, I did notice the wildlife place.I also noticed people walking over the bridge, it must have been a lovely thing to do on such a sunny day. Perhaps next time. I will check out your other recommendations, thank you again.
Both my eldest children wanted to be teachers I imagine because they had such a good experience at junior and senior schools. I managed to dissuade DD1 and steer her into speech and language therapy but no such luck with DS. He has been teaching 10 years now and is head of department. Hates it with a passion. He says he spends all his time doing pointless tasks and not teaching what the children need to know, He has been offered a new job but is awaiting approval.. I can't imagine there will be any problems but fingers crossed. It will mean a lot of travelling and half salary. I have encouraged him all the way. It doesn't matter what work he does as long as he isn't working every night and every weekend until 11 pm. He will be leaving whatever happens, this year, it is a great loss to the profession but needs to be done for his mental health and quality of life. Steps off soapbox.
My lovely Step son has been and put up 2 window blinds, and a curtain rail. Top man. I have fed him well and he has now gone home for a kip.
I need to update my numbers but will do them another time.
