Morning Peeps,
I have finally caught up with the thread again, struggling to jump on board but am keeping at it slowly.
Managed a tip run for some items from parents house. I was lucky the chap let me on as I had no ID of their address. A letter will now stay in my car for the next trips. A very useful item oil heater came to our house and was put into use straight away. Other items were placed into CS bags ready to go out again and some listed onto a free site, there is no interest on them yet so may go into a large CS bag just to get rid.
I stripped the baubles from the christmas tree that came from their house they will be used to make wreaths for next Christmas for my siblings. Tree now ready for the tip and the box gone into recycling.
An admin frog was done and completed re the lost stone. Now accepted the replacement and am happy again.
New frog to address next week which hopefully will have financial rewards.
3 crocheted blankets finally dropped of to the charity I had made them for. I am on a last one hopefully it being the last for quite a while.
We dropped off a CS bag and had to remove myself from purchasing more wool bits.
@wishus if you have a high st bank account you can pay money in at the local post office free of charge. (does not include Nationwide a its a Building Society)
Have a good weekend all

On the declutter journey since 2023 with Mrs SD. Tilly Tidy since 2023.23 -
My totals are creeping along - clogged up paintbrushes (counting as one) and oil paints, broken wardrobe lock (I'll have to replace that though), and some socks that are too big for me taken to the clothes bank at work. I'm also counting the soft plastics I took to JS as I've been meaning to bring them in for ages, but now I've broken the back of it I won't count them here in future. I had to buy 2 canvas boards and fruit-based turpentine substitute for an art class in Borough (I have turpentine but for safely reasons I can't bring that on site), and picked up a cheap exercise book for work as my reporters pad is nearly but not quite used up.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good morning from a chilly but dry London 🥶 Not looking forward to the bike ride but apparently it is a gathering of most of DH’s family - the Kent contingent 😊 Just having a cuppa before setting off between 11:45 & 12:00 Thought I would do a little cheerleading before wrapping up warm & setting off.
Lovely to see you weenancy 👋 Good news about the decluttering especially roommate G getting fully involved with the kitchen decluttering 👏 Excellent work 👏 Sorry to hear about your leg 😔 Sending healing vibes your way 🤞😊
Excellent decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 Just a pity that you need to declutter OH’s corner by stealth 😉
Siebrie, thanks for the reminder of the KonMari method of decluttering 👏 I never did manage to get along with it although I do still use some of her folding clothes techniques 😉
florianatwobob, your garden sounds wonderful & I must admit to being slightly envious that your rhubarb is already budding 😊
BudgetingBelinda 🙊
Tea drunk, so now upstairs to get dressed, pack a bag & head off. Might get back on later tonight but probably not so I hope everyone has as good a Sunday as possible 😊

Quick afternoon check in. My rhubarb is budding as well. Nationwide do take a limited number of correctly bagged coins in branch if you are lucky enough to be near one. Unexpected declutter of job that has been on to do list since before DH passed away (5+) years. DS2 was sorting out basketball hoop and stand which he got for the children at Christmas (he had put it together wrong but it had been too windy to fix) when he just had a quick look at outdoor plug which doesn't work. As soon as he touched it circuit in house tripped and would not reset. Off to get new one and it was fitted and tested in 15 minutes or so and everything ok. (yes he is qualified to do it)
57 new outdoor socket fitted and old one binned
58 Shoes to CS bag - had 5 years and worn once
59 Bras to CS bag
60 Cardigan to CS bag
61 Loads of foam bra inserts binned
62 Faulty headphones binned
63 Bedside drawers completely empty and cleaned ( on late DH side of bed). DGS4 used to keep bits in there when he shared with me but has his own room now. I can use to re home something
64 DGS4 found a tub of coloured carrots which we had not pulled from garden. Cleaned and trimmed and if we don't use them today I will chop up and freeze to add to soup or stew
65-72 items for CS bag from DS2
73 Sprout stems from Christmas rescued from garage. Mostly good to use so trimmed and blanched and 4 bags now in freezer.
Just decluttered pancakes and fresh fruit which was tasty.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Not much happening this weekend as I had to pick DS up early on Friday with a virus thingy and he's been in bed ever since. As usual I am knackered as I am the only one who knows whether the kids are at the right temperature or not, and so I've been on night and day duty. I did try and tidy up DS's room earlier and put away the biggest pile of Lego I've ever seen. Frankly after that I needed a sit down! Will attempt a bit more tidying later as I was starting to improve my bedroom that seemed to have temporarily evolved into a bit of a mess. It's now only a half mess, but want to try and crack that during next week. Putting off sorting out DD's room as no one puts anything away properly apart from me in there... I need to declutter in there or at least find homes for things, but might put it off a bit longer.Physical:

Hi all, just popping in
@Siebrie your example of scissors made me smile, I have scissors everywhere but they are staying as it drives me nuts if I need a pair and I have to go into another room for them, but that's just me
@florianatwobob your garden sounds lovely, rhubarb is one of my fav foods and I have been trying to get some established for the past couple of years, about 9 inches of top soil firmly sat on clay here so drainage can be an issueand as for violets what a beautiful thug
especially at this time of year. I bet any bees etc braving the warm days now love your garden
@London_1, well done to your dd, very brave of her to walk away and lovely that she moved on to such a nice new man. I find it very sad how many of my friend's daughters put up with abuse and other carp for such a long time, nice to hear about a very happy ending
@TheEmerald every journey starts with the first step and you have taken several so celebrate what you have done. The trick is to keep moving now and you will get there
@GrannyKate I love York, one of my favourite places to visit
@~FlowerPot~ pondering is a vital activity to decluttering
@flamingo747 sympathies re the cough, it's amazing how annoying and debilitating it can be, hugs
@Wednesday2000 I couldn't agree more about fresh flowers, they are good for the soul and you are definitely worth a bunch every week
@bit_by_bit great work and when dd gets home maybe the boxes of stuff for selling will be sold, win win
@wishus good job with the coins. I once had a very large whiskey bottle full of coins and it was used mainly to entertain my friend's son who used to love to empty it and count it up. When it was full we bagged it all up and fed it into the bank and the self service tills at the sm with a percentage going to friend's son for he!ping
. I can't remember how much was in it now, he's 24 but the bottle went into the recycling bin which I do sometimes regret as it was quite fun but I don't have any small people around to "help" now
@2Scratters great idea to use the excess baubles for wreaths, I might pinch that idea. I have a broken down artificial tree boxed up that I intended to use for the base of a wreath, maybe this year it will be done
@Mrs SD hope you have a lovely day, our twice cancelled boxing day is happening tomorrow so no cooking again
@GrannyKate does ds2 travel? I have a few things I could use him for
Ok so I have whizzed around the bathroom and the bin emptied and the bedroom bin emptied. So many snotty tissues. A load of washing is in the machine so the maiden needs sorting. I am looking at some cardboard boxes that were kept for justin but christmas came and went and they weren't used for parcels so probably time to go
Hugs to everyone who would like one
61 bathroom bin
62 bedroom bin
Take care everyone

Mrs SD, love the bread and rock buns
decided I'll get my oven mended and return the multi cooker. Coped for 3 months with no oven , so think I can do most of the 15 things themulti cooker does without it. Read the instructions 5 pages of warnings of burnes, explosion injury and damage to property! Being accident prone sticking with what I know. I also think I got too big a cooker which was overwhelming. Should be collected tomorrow.
So glad to hear about young women ( and older ones) who have the strength to leave bad relationships and wonderful to hear where they find someone good or find contentment without that person. I think contentment is very under rated and aiming for more of it.
At football ( not me playing) with car loaded to take dd1 straight to uni. Then tackle the house each evening.
Mrs sd the sun is out so hopefully the journey won't be too bad and you have a wonderful get together.23 -
Found it! Decluttering this week:
19. Lots of emails
20. Unsubscribed from 2 sites - no biggie to most people but there was a lot of thinking behind it.
21. Old dressing gown….. it was so old it had teeth marks in it from when my lab was a puppy. She since passed away a few years ago…
22. Bag of clothes on the landing finally out to a clothes bank thing.
Dog 2 decluttered a tub of butter I’d left out to soften a bit. So that’s 23…… I managed to get the butter off him but it was slobbered all over. He isn’t the brightest as he brings me what he steals……🤣⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Hello all, still in the TLC carriage trying to declutter this darn dry cough ! It's not too bad in the day but come night-time it's prowling around like an animal in a cage wanting to be free. I'm so fed up of not being able to sleep lying down ! Sorry for the moan.
Out today an empty bottle of cough mixture, DH's empty can of deodorant, a toilet roll inner and the plastic container from Sunday's meat. The dust has gone from the bedroom and the bed changed, the bedding has been washed and I'm up to date with the ironing. Dh no longer needs a small medical item so that has been binned as it's obsolete, neither the pharmacy nor the surgery will take it 🤨
I've noticed the room of doom office is very untidy again, so I must sort that this week. I know it has 2 bags in there ready for the cs, one of clothes and one containing books and PS2 games.
Flamingo I feel your pain with the cough, get well soon. Virtual hugs from one cougher to another 😷
Well done to everyone on the decluttering train, keep on rolling.
