Good evening. Not much managed today. Dd1 said I should watch call the midwife and I seem to have spent way too long watching it this afternoon.
I do have a massive amount to do as we have DGD next weekend. We knew 2 years ago we would be having her every other Friday once DD1 went back on full hours and there still isn't the space in the bedroom, so that will be this weeks job.
Dfw38, that looks like the witches hat i found the other day. Think it was age 5/6 or something, its been sat in a box for about 10 years. Well done on getting rid of yours a lot quicker, I'm guessing with your children being younger (mines still in a bin bag with all the other dress up hoping to find sets, that probablywent years ago).
My emails get divided automatically in to focused and other. Other is not decluttered! It was easier as i knew most could go. Now to start on the 'focused' section. Just the 40 unsubscribed has made a massive difference already to the amount coming in.

Hoping by March this room will be s
orted. There is another sofa piled with cushions ètc, and an old small TV in left hand corner:(
With the big coffee table I couldn't put the rug done and 70smusic centre brought back 2 years ago not plugged in and vinyl and any tapes in another room. Definitely a marathon and not a sprint.
I am off the starting blocks but think taken a few detours!

To be perfectly honest, your room looks pretty tidy to me, once the chairs have been sorted it will look fairly empty...

Taff, thank you , I do have rooms more cluttered, I think this is just unorganised. Its tidy as I don't use it as can't sit on sofas
Also had to move boxes in front of where the cabinet was, however I do spend alot of time looking for things everyday. It is better than a couple of years ago, largely due to this thread and all the encouragement here. Also inspiration from you and others in maintenance saying life is easier .
have to say @Wednesday2000 when I saw your first photo I thought how tidy and uncluttered, however can see how much more restful and lovely the second is, and the tulips ( and other flowers) are lovely and can lift our spirits .
Hope people are taking time to recuperate. Decluttering some n*flix and made a bottom.of the fridge risotto.19 -
Decluttered the older contents of my (rather large) fruitbowl into a cooking pot today, (3 large apples, 2 easy-peelers, two elderly limes and a sad-looking lemon) along with the last of the homegrown quinces (4) and a fair portion of foraged blackberries from the freezer. That'll do for a crumble tomorrow and also with yogurt during the week. I've also decluttered 30-odd garlic cloves off into the ground at the allotment; sadly the ground is still too soggy to put my "overwintering" onion sets in so they have to stay in the conservatory for now. I've sorted out some clothes to be donated and a few more to just - go. I also decluttered the "jam & chutney shelves" and have put everything pre-2022 (and there's only a couple left from then) into a box for the Community Kitchen, who, bless their cotton socks, use everything they're given. These are home-made preserves, by the way, not shop-bought, mostly from home-grown or foraged fruit & veg. We do use a lot but there are less of us living here now, so I'll just have to make less in future. Off to sort out some more (genuinely useful) excess stuff in the "sewing room" now as the Scrapstore is re-opening next week & I can take it down to them.

@flamingo747, there's a photo icon next but one to the smiley above where you write the post and you can then select camera.
It's a really nice house but far too big and very cold and repairs are like the forth Bridge- always needed. and been here 30 years bought with ex and would be good to be in a smaller and warmer house, and dd1 hates being here as not good memories for her.
Taking dd1 back to uni and my cousin told me not to nag her about tidying up ( as she's here for a short time) but to model it and lead by example hahaha, I try so hard to put things away and therefore I am always surprised by the piles of stuff (mine) that the gremlins have built up.
For those who have lots of RL stuff happening take time in the tlc carriage and take time out.

Sadly it is a private dentist I am decluttering money to as I need a bone graft and dental implant. Hey ho.
Prosecco and chocolate cake brought from home have been decluttered at daughters birthday gathering - it's been a nice day.

Hello. Didn't manage to post yesterday as computer was acting silly!.
You all seem to have been very busy.
I've done a few bits.
142. Deceased plant.
143. Diamond painting. Very dark and I wasn't enjoying doing it.
144-148. 5 very old cross stitch magazines.
149. Pair of trainers. Loved them but they have seen better days.
150. Calendar. Asked around and no body wanted it. Recycled.
Take care everybody.
