Last weekend we had a spontaneous kitchen cupboard rearrange and declutter. As a result a mish mash of kitchenalia found itself taken to the CS yesterday along with some DVDs and a couple of books. We also had a rummage through the bathroom cupboard and a new bottle of shampoo and some sealed packets of ‘feminine hygiene products’ were dropped off at the supermarket food bank as they’ve been asking for toiletries. Some of the Christmas decs are up, the tree won’t go up before the 14th but the little contorted hazel has been decorated with plastic baubles and looks very festive.DSis and I have been very festive now her treatment has finished and went to the light trail at Kew and then a one man performance of A Christmas Carol in one of our local cafes (originally a Victorian printer’s office). Very different and both excellent!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I spent yesterday evening listing on V. I had sales of £97 so a very busy day.
I went to bed last night not knowing if I would make it to Church as felt so rough.
I did go to Church - Mr F stayed at home. Our singing group was depleted and those that were there were mostly poorly so we croaked our way through a Joy Webb song.
I did some lunch and wrapped sales and took photos.
This afternoon was the candlelight service where the children do a nativity performance.
I went along to be asked - why are you here - you aren't well. Then I was handed a piece of paper and asked to do a reading. All downstairs was packed so we had people up in the balcony.
The singing group did a quite difficult song.
I hadn't been told about a collection so was running around to get bags out.
I took a glass of water with me when I went up to do the reading.
So many people around here have colds - lots of coughing between carols.
I helped serve sausage rolls and mince pies and counted the collection.
I have been asked to be at SA at 9 am tomorrow - this wasn't my plan for Monday.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Just a quick post. Ventured out a few times but just got very wet. I managed a few small jobs in the garden but not the weather for it. DGD1 was very excited as she and her dad picked out a small second hand car for her. They have had no electricity since yesterday afternoon. Hoping it was back on this evening. 50 foot tree fell at horse yard but thankfully horses all in stables and ok. Paddock fences were all damaged so she has been there with her dad helping to fix them. Mostly pottering around the house. I did wander round a car garage today but they were very unhelpful and didn't seem interested in selling me a car really. I do need to buy one but hate the process. Trying really hard to get all my Christmas shopping done. I don't need food really as I will be away and then at DS2's on Boxing Day.
1699 A few garden jobs including cutting back heather overhanging drive which is being cleaned tomorrow
1700 Swimming pool stuff put in its store
1701 Tried to change some battery Christmas lights but broke them instead so binned
1702 More than half Christmas cards posted
1703 More wrapping done
My tree lights keep going off so I am being very cautious and turning them off at night and whenever I go out. House is being rewired on 6 January.

Hi chums bruises coming out now so various shades of black blue and even a yellow one. Back really sore today, but Ibuprofen and TLC from grandson helped no end
Jack decorated a little tree for me to go into my new sitting room Carpet is now definitely going to be laid on Tuesday and we went and I bought a nice recliner chair and a small bookcase from the BHF shop. Including delivery due on Thursday £245 which I was pleased about as the chair is from a showroom and never been used and the bookcase looked fairly new as well its a tall thinner one so will hold enough of my favourite ones but take up less space.
I decided that the BHF shop was so good, and the cash goes to help research so win-win for both the shop and myself. My son-in-law has treated me to a freeview box from there which was only £25. so again more cash for the charity
DGS Jack had to go home today as he's got one more week until his school breaks up for Christmas, and a lot of the ferries were cancelled because of the stormy weather, but he finally got on one around 4.20 this afternoon and got back home to Goudhurst around 8.00.
Only a couple of weeks and the boys will all be descending on us for Christmas and we are all looking forward to seeing them.
Jack's taken all the other family in Kents' presents back with him, so no posting necessary . Ive only a few more to get and tomorrow I will be writing a few cards out to overseas relatives, then a donation to the SA instead of sending lots of cards.
More or less organised . I did declutter a few bits to Jack to take back with him, a quilted mattress cover that doesn't fit my new bed ,which will fit his a treat, and some spare kitchenalia that DD and I had doubled up on.
Hope everyone is safe and well and those without light soon get them back on again
Take care everybody its been quite a rough weekend weatherise

Sorry to be MIA. I’m feeling quite tired so I’m going to catch up with everybody’s posts tomorrow. In fact, I’ve been annoyingly tired for the past few days, so haven’t really had much to report anyway. And I did manage to get the living room tidied and cleaned and Her Bunnyship is now settled.
I had to take the car to the garage. A sensor needs replacing but waiting for a part. As it's nothing dangerous or damaging, I collected it to use this weekend. Fortunately, the car’s still driveable so I was able to get to both my pre-Christmas Doo and DD’s to visit her (and rabbit!)
There hasn’t been a major declutter but, on the NSD thread, 1 of the challenges is 31 items out. Including those, the tidying produced 1 item and 5 magazines, plus a bag of recycling. And I took 2 spare Christmas decs, a Christmas wreath kit and an Advent Calendar to DD.
The Admin Alligators are massing, so that’s a job for tomorrow. Including getting the Christmas cards off.
Also - to my immense surprise – I’ve had a run of NSDs! I thought I'd have to spend on the car repair but I'm paying for everything when the job's finished. We’ve been eating out of the house because we had stuff in and I really didn’t feel like shopping. Then this weekend I didn’t bother buying lunches and DD fed me the rest of the time. This means I haven’t spent anything since the beginning of the month!
Total NSDs 7/31

Friday: I finished knitting the scarf. Dinner was the last of the fish fingers, lamb kebabs, fries (all from freezer) & baked beans. Wudupa. The kitchen freezer had one drawer full of bits which DH emptied into the garage freezer.
Saturday: A wet, dreary, windy day & appears to have been raining all night & morning. Continued raining on & off all day. I wrote a shopping list for DH as he & DSis went shopping today. Whilst they were out I switched the fridge/freezer off at the plug & defrosted the kitchen freezer. I used a fan to speed up the defrosting - 1.5 hours for everything apart from the ice on the top of the freezer which took another 1.5 hours 😥 Mopped up & dried out the inside of the freezer + washed the drawers. Left everything to dry completely before returning the drawers to the freezer & switching fridge/freezer back on. I am leaving it overnight to get back down to temperature before transferring everything from the garage fridge/freezer & defrosting it. Tomorrow I intend to clean the fridge. Dinner was hm spaghetti bolognaise with garlic bread which came from the freezer 😉 Wudupa.
234 - 239 Kitchen recycling x 2, cardboard packaging, drinks cans x 2, plastic jar - recycled
240 - 242 Kitchen detritus x 2, plastic packaging - binned
Sunday: 10:45 - Up but not dressed. It started raining about 20 minutes later & rained on & off all day. I did clean the kitchen fridge & rearrange the contents. Sadly had to bin the contents of several glass jars. Will count tomorrow as most will be put in recycling bin. Finished off the Bolognaise sauce with pasta shells. Wudupa.
243 - 245 Kitchen recycling & detritus, drinks cans - binned appropriately

Okay - how did you all send the lurgy over the computer to me. I had to cancel several things this weekend (my sister's birthday and a family history fair) and just e-mailed my teacher that Di and I will not make the class tomorrow. Mentholatum on my chest seems to be helping and several cups of tea but not much else is having an effect. Fortunately, I make up an eight-day special calendar and can see what we need to do and who is going to show up (nurse and occupational therapist for Di). Otherwise, I wouldn't have known what day it was this weekend. We did have a little tribute at home for Pearl Harbor Day (on the 7th) as my father was in the Army there and was in a base that was attacked and Di's father was a civilian in Pearl Harbor working on another Army base that was also attacked. The frame around my license plate was my father's and says "Pearl Harbor Survivor" on it.
Only decluttering we have been able to do is cleaning out part of the refrigerator - didn't do as an extensive job as Mrs. SD - and lots of paper - I have almost sorted one box. I will try posting some pictures when we are feeling better of the comfort chicken and the little chick, plus the two bags I have made for my Knitting and Crocheting class. I need to make another bag for a Christmas present for my Niece.
I have been seeing pictures from Storm Darragh. Take care everyone.15
