Sorry weenancyinAmerica and flowerpot, hope you both get better soon. If your fellow house residents/families aren't seeing that you both need a bit help (and some people aren't good at that) you probably both need to clearly state what you need over the next few days ie make this jelly according to the instructions on the packet, pour into 4 little bowls, put in fridge, ask me tomorrow when I want them brought to me along with tea and toast. Tomorrow I will require you, D, to bring me tea at half 8, you (other resident) bring me a cheese sandwich at 12. Etc etc. Some people need specific instructions so give them rather than allowing yourself to feel unloved when they don't do what you yourself would have done. I'm sure they do love you but they are used to taking you both for granted.

Flying visit.Decluttering is continuing. 2 bags of stuff off to charity but I was very disappointed that our hospice shop is no longer accepting rags I shall have to find another avenue for those.DSis is decluttering her radiotherapy treatments. She has 6 more external zappings which will be completed by 31st Oct! She’s then got two internal zappings the first week of November. She’s doing remarkably well but it is making her more tired and the side effects are really kicking in, hardly surprising though as she’s had 21 radiotherapy treatments to date.We are also decluttering the boiler - it’s sprung a leak which if fixed increased the likelihood of spring up elsewhere. It was not part of the plan for this year (but so much hasn’t been) but that’s due to be replaced on 31st Oct too. I can’t wait, I have a washing up bowl which is filling up every 12 hours because of the drip…..!!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

DGS Ben and I went to garden centre near me and I managed to get two huge bags of daffodil bulbs and two big bags of compost, plus a freebie bag of tulip bulbs as it came up on my BusyBees app.
It should have come to just under £32 but with the vouchers ,special offers etc I only had to declutter £17.66 which I was pleased about .
Ben planted half the bulbs along the fence at the bottom of the garden so come the spring hopefully there will be a wall of daffs to look at. The tulips we will be putting in tomorrow into a big pot to go by the Myrtle tree.
He's been a real asset and been tidying up bits and pieces in the garden for me
I'm taking him out to lunch tomorrow as a treat. The weather was glorious today 17c and a cloudless sky which made a nice change from the wet and windy weekend.
I have a bag of jeans and trousers that are too big for me that will go to the charity shop tomorrow along with some paperbacks and a couple of cookbooks I never use, I also found a couple of cameras that can go as well as they too never get used anymore
Builders are getting on nicely and its starting to really take shape.
DGS Henry flies back from Romania tonight (he went to see Dracula's castle when over there) He is coming down for a quick visit on Friday until Sunday then back to London for his work in the city.
His other brother Jack is coming of five days next Tuesday, as he is off at half term so is driving down with his new car .
He's dying to take both his Mum and I out for a drive as its the first time since passing his test and getting a car that he will have driven down to the islandbless him he's so excited about it.
DD has next week off from work as she has to use up her holiday allowance before the end of the year so it will be nice for her to have seen three of her four boys at least Mikey is at Uni in Essex so he won't be down until Christmas.
Katie and family are enjoying their Florida trip, and the little girls are having a fantastic time at Disneyland.
Thats about all thats been happening in my life at the moment .
Love to the falling-over pals , its horrible when that happens , I hope everyone else has survived the stormy weather we've had, and are safe'n'sound
Take care chums

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday was a duller but dry day with a temperature high of 17°C Up at 13:00 but with 2 bathroom breaks during the night. Both wheelie bins were emptied today & a bonus is that the black bin liner bag remained inside 😉 Plan for today is to catch up with the cheerleading & finish knitting the scarf. The day has brightened up considerably 15:10 & there is now blue sky & sunshine 🙂 DH & I have finished the hm soup. He is now outside pottering about in the garden. DSis is sorting out her meds for the week. DH went out for his walk about 18:00. When he got back he ordered in - Chinese & very tasty it was too 🤤 Wudupa. I have finished knitting the scarf - sewed in the ends & sewed up the wrist warmers 🥳 See photo below

Great cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 😊 More excellent work in the garden by both you & OH 👏 I do hope OH tidied the kitchen after his massive cooking session 🤞
oceanspirit, excellent work decluttering books & emails 👏 Your OH is doing really well - I would say that he is now a fully paid up member of our Declutterati family 😊 even though you are writing his To Do list 😉 An excellent plan & what a great incentive to continue the decluttering 😊
Paid the milkman. So much for catching up with the cheerleading 😔 Just noticed the time so am off to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Sorry to hear of people falling or being poorly and family not being supportive.
Sending hugs.
My place is still more untidy than normal due to having several rooms redecorated.
The bedroom is still being done so I'm camped out in the living room.
I'm really hoping that the decorating doesn't take too much longer, although the hallway and living room are still to be done.
A little bit of repair and preparation work and then painting of woodwork and then wallpapering and painting the paper.
I've managed declutter 2 really full carrier bags of stuff and a pretty full bag.
I managed to declutter the pictures of wildcats and the wildcat soft toy (plus another 2 soft toy cats).
I've 5 pairs of jeans going to my mums at some point along with a couple of jars of pasta sauce and pasta I'm not keen on.
I'm going to keep trying to keep on top of the decluttering, plus I really need to know top of housework and studying.Decluttering campaign 2023

Hugs to all of those that need them and I've put some sticky toffee pudding in the TLC carriage (part of my aim to declutter the food stores so win win 😉)
Not a huge amount of decluttering happening at the moment apart from a lot of money. Oh and 2 hand washes that the previous owner left that the builders have managed to work through 😆 Most of the plastering has been done, just the bits around the new doors in the bathroom to go but need them to actually install the bathroom first before they do that.
I'm currently sitting in the car garage for the third straight morning waiting for them to fix a problem that I told them about a month ago but they said wasn't a problem...hence the decluttering of lots of money.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201714 -
Morning Peeps,
@weenancyinAmerica and @flowerpots hope you both recover soon. With the nonchalant behaviour of family I'd be tempted to eek out your un-wellness to make them appreciate what you actually do doand hopefully they will make more of an effort if it was to occur again.
Decluttering is moving here but not quite in the areas I sort of expected it to. Tidied more of my wardrobe and have managed to move 21 items including small boxes that stored expensive unused as yet items. I am SABLE in another area nowI'll be having to make a plan of having a bath
The boxes (classic cream with black writing) are packed and ready to drop off at the post office as someone has another use for them and with it comes a little money too. All the collection is now in one box. Ended up drifting into another job of sorting (and cleaning unexpectedly- what a minger I am) it is a storage soft box with a ton of makeup, nail gel stuff and relative items. I managed to throw some bits out and then sorted like with like. How many lip balms, salves, conditioners does a girl really need? Looks so much tidier and less of it. DH also became a cropper with some books all autobiographies (mostly bike related, some signed and hard backed. He doesn't want to read them again. There are some more in the loft that I will locate. Will sell them as a job lot for it to go towards DGd's bike fund as he keeps spending his money on it. Would make a good frugal Christmas/birthday gift for someone. 2 boxes gone from back bedroom (soon to be new kitchen) cupboard - more space happening.
@London_1 a resident at where my parents live has only just last week spent a few days on your island and caught the good weather too and had an absolute ball. She travelled by coach with her daughter from here in Lancashire and said the whole experience was brilliant and just what they needed.
@TC77 love the house pics.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger lovely hat, mitts and scarf set.
This rolling stone needs to keep moving so must go to ensure of keeping the momentum.
Hugs to those who need them.

floriana, good to hear your sister is bearing up.She will soon be feeling a lot better. x
Lovely knitting Mrs SD, as always.
Well done everyone with the decluttering. I hope to declutter all the stuff piled up on the spare bed at the weekend. I miss the days when I had lots to go. It's only dribs and drabs these days.
As well as wool I bought a new jumper from Bury market.
Knitted a pumpkin hat last night, made the pattern up as I went. I have also started a little jumper, loosely using a pattern.
Gotta get a wriggle on, off to yoga.

Pumpkin hat for the baby pumpkin.
I made the most disgusting cake last night. 🤣 I fancied marmalade and ginger cake. Nope. My daughter makes beautiful vegan cakes, I have asked for her recipe and will have one more go at pear and chocolate cake. I may have to hang my cake making apron up for good if this one is bird food too!
