More has gone off the reading pile.
OH has done a great job in the garden whilst the weather is dry and he's taking a big item to the recycling centre tomorrow.
Window cleaner emptied the guttering of moss and 'slop' so we shouldn't have a waterfall outside the bedroom window when it next rains.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13 -
Morning all - felt a bit wonky last few days (super stress doesn't help) and managed to fall on DS2's stairs last night. Think my right knee is giving way. Putting off getting referred until after moving. DS2 bought a new strong banister and fitted earlier this week so not impressed with me falling. I have rather slippery slippers there so think I will swop over with the ones I have at bungalow which are safer. Packing is surging ahead - solicitors are not. 31 October was put to me as a moving date - not possible as far as I can see. We are suggesting 11 November. Finally saw EPC yesterday - d rating no doubt due to almost total lack of loft insulation. Gas report also appeared. Important quote re roof has got lost and can't be resent until Friday.
1315 Packing stands at 64 boxes and 8 bags
1316 Box of Halloween things to DS2
1317-8 Two boxes of Easter things went home with DD who has somewhere to donate them
1319 Bundle of stuff for DD
1320 Bag of wooden pegs used for a game gone to DGS1 who is short of them
1321-2 Two large bin bags of rubbish out
1323 Bag of soft toys to CS
1324 Bag of plastics to recycling
1325 Painting to CS
1326 Indoor plant pot to CS
1327-8 Two full bags to stuff to CS
1329 Children's suitcase to CS
1330 DGD4 took bag of stuff to DS2s
1331 DGD4 took bag of stuff to her mums
1332 Car serviced and money decluttered but no major problems thankfully
Hugs to all who need them.

43/52 - 9 books and 1 computer game to buying site. Not as easy this time and didn't get picked up but still good to declutter items.15 -
Hi all, reasonable couple of days here. 2 LDFPA, the last tree trunk chopped down, just the bit in the ground to deal with but the bit blocking the sun from the garden for most of the afternoon is down
. The branches have been chopped and bagged up waiting for a trip to the tip. I spent ages up and down the ladder clearing the gutters on the conservatory as I spotted something growing in it
. Lots of moss and leaves cleared and into the green bin and hosed down with clean water to get bits. Then, of course, I had to clean the grid so a bag of gunk into the bin. While I had the ladders in the garden I was going to go up the cordyline to remove the dead leaves which get blown all over the place at this time of year but it got too late so that is on the list for today. After tea I did some crochet.
Yesterday was a trip to town so the bank manager could teach me to use the app. He was very nice and seemed to understand my reluctance. He sorted out what needed to be done with my accounts and then helped me download the app and show me how to use it. He also said if I have any problems with it I could call in and ask someone to help me. In fact he said if I did that it would help to keep branches open as they have to keep a record of when they help people with it so I will be sure to do that although I can't imagine the branch in town closing my local branch is probably under threat. As I was in town I shopped for 2 birthday presents. I could have got it online but again I want to support the shop. I also went to an outdoor shop and bought myself a pair of waterproof walking shoes/ boots that I have been threatening to buy for about 2 years every time I get home with soaking wet feet so a frog dealt withplus they were on sale and I had a voucher for an extra 15% off so mse
. I will probably have to get some memory foam insoles but they were quite comfortable on my silly feet. I was knackered when I got home and had to have a sit for a while
bathroom bin emptied and more crochet after tea.
This morning has been taken up chauffeuring OH who had a scan appointment at the hospital early doors and there is no reasonable parking anywhere near the hospital, typically, so OH was dropped at the hospital and I drove quite a way to get a cup of coffee and wait for the summons to go back and collect OH. Since I got home 1 load of washing is on the line and another is swishing
. I am just having lunch and then will get out to sort the cordyline
@weenancyinAmerica big hugs, honestly those housemates need a big kick up the backside. I really think it is time for a serious talk about how you do so much for them and their lack of help for you
@~FlowerPot~ big hugs, again I would be laying down some ground rules here. I understand your DH was working but even so a quick check you were ok doesn't take long and as for ds1 well I am sorry but I would have told him if he didn't get out of bed and get to the sm there would be no tea for him and if that didn't work I'd have ordered what you wanted and let him shift for himself or starve.
Sorry rant over. The second load has just finished so I am going to post now and get it on the line. Hugs to everyone who would like one

I have called up to book a bulky waste collection and am waiting for them to call back. I have a lot of stuff to be picked up this time, but I suppose I haven't done it in quite a while.
My husband is going to drop off the donation bags to the charity shop tomorrow as well as returning my library books.
It is lovely and sunny here today. Unusual for this time of year.12 -
Gorgeous morning here with 17c wall-to-wall sunshine. I walked with DGS Ben down to Appley Beach and walking through the park he was so chuffed when I pointed out the red squirrel scooting up one of the trees
Bless him its his first time of seeing one of our little red friends which are residents over here
We had a nice hot chocolate and a good walk along the beach and did a nice long loop back home again, 7.656 steps, about a tad over 3 miles. We had a short rest on the walk back up the hill but then soldiered on. In effect I decluttered the calories from the gorgeous hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows
The plumber is here at the house today, and the system is drained down so both of us got out of his way. The chippy is also here crashing and sawing and banging around
Plasterer is due tomorrow so hopefully not too long before I get my sitting room finished and we can get some sort of order in the house.
Everywhere seems to be upside down and boxes and stuff all over the place.
I'm quite a tidy person so I'm better off getting out of the wayto be fair.
My son-in-law is brilliant through and copes with the three dogs, and all the mess very calmly.
I keep finding more and more stuff to go and bagging it up I think DGS Ben and I will be doing a trip to Ryde tomorrow to off load some bits to the CS there
Onwards and upwards chums

Had asked the OH to sweep up the leaves at the front of the house while I was at work - meant he could get them out of the carport too where I normally park the car. (but he knows to be careful of George who has build a spectacular web all the way across the carport and is sitting expectantly in the middle of it.....)
Mostly this was because the garbage collection is tomorrow morning and the gardeners come next week so the more leafy stuff into the bin now the easier it would be later. But as life would have it I got home and nothing had been swept. (& George was still sitting there too). So I got the broom and the 2 of us swept most everything up about 5 minutes (but not George of course). Nice and easy.
And I took 2 old phones that have been sitting on my desk for several months to the food bank with me today. I don't know if they are usable given that the reason they are spare is they stopped working properly for me. But it's possible with a factory reset they'll be good enough for someone without any phone. The FB will give them a going over and pop a PAYG sim in for someone who doesn't have a phone - better than them being binned.
Wondering how long George will continue to take up so much space. S/He's not very big really but creatures like this put so much effort into their webs I always feel like I have to apologise if I mess one up. Brie I'm with you, wouldn't intentionally break a web if I could help it. Beautiful work, especially in a hedge with dew drops.
I've been in my craft room for what seems like weeks now. I've got a box of stationery and bits that I will see if the local primary school would use. Lots in the recycling bin. When we moved in things were just put in any old drawer and its remained a mess ever since. Now I have paperwork all filed, only enough stationery for the 2 of us I think, a completely empty drawer and several half empty ones. I've found rubbish, old treasures and just multiples of everything. Once its all gathered together and laid out in categories its been so easy to see if I keep 20 highlighters by the time I get round to using the last one it will definitely be beyond use, especially as some of them must already be about 10 year old.
Looking forward to mid Novemberish when I can hopefully get a huge box of Christmas stuff off to the charity shops, been storing and gathering it since January.
At some point I want to get back to photos too. Theres just not enough hours in the day just now. Whilst I've been doing my room, I've also been watching/listening to half a dozen or maybe 8 black and white Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films, series 4 and part of series 5 of Columbo and a series of Mad about you. Very enjoyable. Oh and Doris Day/Rock Hudson Pillow Talk.
Hugs to everyone

Brie, I became aware this week of the very industrious activity of Sidney Spider who has created the most magnificent cobweb across the middle pane of my living room window. It’s twinkling most beautifully in the early morning sun and is fortunately outside.
