I was so tired yesterday that not very much happened. I did go through the kitchen cupboards and turfed out some stuff.
17 cookie cutters in a tin and 6 ice lolly moulds bagged up to give to DIL.Several glass jars and bottles saved for? Recycled.2 coffee percolators outside to be planted up with succulents.Kilner jar charity bag.Ice cube tray, mud kitchen
12 unused cookie cutters in boxes, charity bag
milk pan, mud kitchen
ancient part used birthday candles, holders and vintage Christmas cake decorations bin
Kitchen drawers still to do.
Mrs SD, I am feeling much better with only slight vertigo on occasion and am doing my exercises and taking my tablets. You are right, I would have hit the ground running yesterday if I had not been so sleep deprived.I love moving house. I love taking a sad house and making it nice. I seem to have made a few bob over the years doing it too. it has been my job I suppose for the last 10 years. I enjoy it but don't get emotionally attached, and there is always a solution to any problem. I always spend alot of time before purchase weighing up my options, seeing how to make best use of the space and even deciding on the look I am going for. If we get the bungalow I will need to buy some furniture as it is a bigger house than this one. Btw, almost everything in my house photos is second hand, with the exception of kitchen, bathroom, telly and bed! I will sell most of my furniture before I move. I can always get new to me stuff to suit the new house.
On my to do list today, filler in the bathroom door frame where the door was changed. It will need several layers and a bit of sculpting before it can be painted. The garden needs a tidy up, strawberries to eat before the slugs get em. First do the prep for a Sunday dinner.
How exciting Granny Kate. There must be Scout people who collect scouting stuff. Mr V has a camp blanket with international badges on it, swapped at various international camps.I don't know what to do with it, perhaps DD1 will want it. My Mum has recently given me a little bag with my Guide badges and swimming badges. I was going to give them to DD1. She has my old day rucsac from the 70's with loadsa badges on already, always room for more. It's retro don't ya know. Haha.
How satisfying to get under the fridge Happy Kitties, and treasure as well!
LiverpoolAnne, you are on a mission. Well done for persevering with it. I have a vicious bramble in my sights today. I left it last year because I thought it would be nice to have some handy blackberries. Now its an evil thorned trifid. I was tired because I had been up all night knocking imaginary walls down, re positioning the stairs, building loft rooms, adding bathrooms and generally wasting my time! We might not even go for it yet. It has been for sale a long time which is odd as it's a very high turn over area. Needs too much work I suspect. I will message you later.
Zero Olympics watched so far.

Liverpool_Anne said:.... while we were standing gabbing a friendly man offered to empty our bags of waste and he promotly walked off with my bag which I totally didn't realise until I got home. I am a bit miffed about this as it was a smaller bag, half ton, that is much easier for me to handle than the ton bags so I have searched the net and found some that I will probably buy, much easier to get in and out of the car etc....2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

OH came home yesterday evening and very cheerful he is about it, too!One lumpy old pillow to go - it’s replacement pair has only been sitting in it’s packaging for 8 months. The other old one is still in reasonable condition so OH has decided he wants to keep it. I will put it through the wash for him.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12

@GrannyKate good luck with the house
.
Haven't done the main frog I wanted to do but been busy until half an hour ago.
Cs trip with cutlery (12).decided having so much discourages dd2 from tidying up/ washing up or putting things in dish washer, have more that can go but ok for moment, 2 books, 10 folder, 7 notelets/ pads. I lever arch file binned, 5 lots of paper clutter thinned, ood food out. Lovely neighbour brought me spare soil so hope to do some gardening, some like with like, couple of small frogs done.

Granny Kate, tell us all about your new garden. What have you got in mind for it?
Forgot to say, bottle of gin and 6 cans of tonic given to my bin monitor neighbour.
Almost filled the green bin with stuff from the back yard, Took a lot of Philadelphus cuttings, I will be dividing and potting up some of my favourite plants to take with me when we move. They can stay where they are for now. I will wait until we have sold the house. I also collected white fox glove seed and aquilegia seed. If we go for the bungalow we are viewing today there is a little shady courtyard outside the kitchen patio doors that is begging to be a hosta, fern and white flower garden. Packing up the garden and sheds will be a bigger job than packing up the contents of the house.
I am picking up some of those large tartan type zip up bags later from thrift. Very useful for moving duvets and clothes.
Will report back on the house viewing.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Mini Mission in May
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
It has started already - engrossed in the Olympics to the exclusion of all else 😉 & how great that team GB & N.I. already have a silver & a bronze medal 🥳 Saturday stayed dry & bright all day (wasted on me of course because I was glued to the telly watching lots of different sports 🙊) - Men’s Rugby Sevens; Dressage; Ladies 3m Synchronised Diving; Fencing - Men’s Sabre & Ladies Epee; Ladies & Men’s Time Trials Cycling; Badminton Men’s Pairs; Judo - Men’s & Ladies; Ladies Boxing; Surfing - Men’s & Ladies; Swimming; Men’s Volleyball; Men’s & Ladies Hockey & Rowing. As there are so many sports I will only be watching a maximum of 10 minutes (per gender) for any unloved sport 😉
DH filled the bird feeders (saw 3 mice running around in the garden box containing all the feed) + DSis went into Lewisham to get out of the house. DSis treated us to shop bought lasagne & garlic bread for dinner. Wudupa.
1221 - 1226 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, newspaper, plastic jar, small glass jar, cardboard packaging - recycled
1227 - 1228 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
Sunday up early & the BBC showed the GB Ladies Team Archery competition - unfortunately they lost ☹️ & no more Archery on the BBC 😔 I will have to rely on Eurosport for my ‘fix’ 🤣 Another bright & sunny day with temperatures forecast to reach 26C☀️ DH is out in the garden & has just put the bird feeder lying on the floor back up on the stand. One of our furry visitors managed to unscrew the body from the lid 😧 Our squirrels are very clever 😅 I have ticked off a couple more sports - Ladies Volleyball & Men’s Pistol Shooting.
I will need to try very hard to keep up with the cheerleading 😉
GrannyKate, fingers crossed that your offer on the bungalow is accepted 🤞 Then you can start planning & the decluttering will pick up pace 😉 What an excellent day of decluttering 👏 11 days worth in a day 🤩
daisy_1571, pleased to hear that someone else thought the horse was amazing 😻 Reading through various threads most people seem to have been rather underwhelmed with the Opening Ceremony ☹️ The wisdom of recording it came into play as I could fast forward through the boring bits 😉 Forgot to mention the Parkour guy or should that be guys & gals 😊 as I doubt that only one person did the whole trip 😉 I have never watched Rugby Sevens before & thoroughly enjoyed it 👏The players are really, really fit 🥳
Happy_Kitties, good news that the washing machine has been fixed 😊 & what a result finding the pet syringes (I assume they are reusable 🤞) Excellent decluttering 👏
Liverpool_Anne, you are definitely more dedicated than I am to the decluttering 😉 I look at it that the Olympics is only every 4 years & watching a bit of every sport might mean that I find a new favourite 😅 Last time around it was the Sport Climbing - fascinating 😊 It also means I find sports that are tedious beyond belief e.g. surfing 😅 Excellent decluttering & great work in the garden 👏 Good luck with the gardening 🍀 Boo to the bag thief 😒
I have been watching the Ladies Gymnastics (I love their sparkly outfits 😉) & just watched some Swimming & a bit of Rowing. Only a page behind with the cheerleading 😉

Not entirely sure why, but I've finally been able to let go off my old uni textbooks and some books from my childhood. I kept hold of the textbooks thinking they might come in useful, but I haven't opened them in several years, and some of them are for an area I don't even practice in!
I haven't read the childhood books either, and feel able to let them go to someone who will enjoy them as much as I can.
This is all good, not least because I have some new (to me) books that have come in, and I've signed up to do buddy reading so some of the books will likely stay.
Also finally replaced my winter boots, previous ones were uncomfortable so I didn't wear them that often so still decent condition. My new boots are sketchers with fur inside, and I'm pretty sure they were mislabelled at £10 brand new! Absolutely chuffed with that bargain as I also needed a pair for when we go to America in October as we're going for some long walks.
I am still reading along, and I think it does help seeing others able to release things, it loosens the ties that these items have in my mind.9
