Good afternoon! Super busy here. We still have DD3s friend and we've had DGD quiet a bit while her mum rests, she's now 20 weeks with a little boy.
Sending love, hugs and good luck to everyone who needs them.
Vulpix, I hope you're feeling better soon. I ended up with a grommet to drain the fluid and it helped massively with the vertigo. Your house looks perfect.
Although we've been super busy, not much has actually left the house, although I have a huge pile of things to go, it's not actually left yet.

Well some decluttering to be done here shortly due to the purchase of a brand new laptop!
Been after a new one for a while (since January) because of a battery error message whenever I started up the darn thing. Have consulted with someone handy with PCs who informed me that unfortunately the laptop I have isnt one where you can unscrew the casing and replace the battery! So it was gonna have to be a new laptop.
However - since it was my birthday recently (coughyesterdaycough) my mum has bought me a new laptop as a present! Absolutely in love with it.
Also - I was trawling Amazon as my very very old Kindle is not really doing the thing for me anymore. I have decided to purchase a new Kindle on payday - and luckily I can trade in the old Kindle which is in good working order despite quite old (like me! haha) and then I will get 20% off the new Kindle and a £5.00 voucher. So happy all round!
As to decluttering - other than the Kindle (1 out 1 in) I have factory reset my old laptop now and planning to list it on fleabay. Recycling is out on the kerb for the dustman tomorrow morning. Really need to declutter my ironing pile and hoover the car. Fairly certain there are other frogs I have been putting off but cant think at the moment.

trying to make this in to a one in, one out......my specialist mouse (LH large contour) got dropped about 2 years back and I've been making do with a mouse that only has 1 working button. I looked at replacing it but initial investigations showed it costing in excess of £120 online. Tried the original company (Dutch) who have confirmed that they no longer produce this. So I figured I was in a pickle.
Decided this week to check shops in Canada on the basis I'm heading there soon but so far haven't come up with anything. And then I decided to look back on CEX to see if they had anything. Lo and behold a reconditioned second hand one (& wireless!!) for £15 (+P&P). I didn't even need to look up my security number on my card and I had it ordered. Just arrived, it looks beautiful all in the original box. I expect some reasonable adjustment type (that was me 8 years back) recommended it for someone and they didn't get on with it and eventually sold it on. My win, I don't care.
Now just to try and make me get rid of the not quite right working one....I wonder if CEX will take it on their lowest grade for resale?????I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. DH popped out to get some petrol & picked up a bit of shopping. This afternoon I wrote a 4 day menu plan & a shopping list for DH & DSis, who have just headed off (19:00) I also dealt with today’s mail & sorted through a folder of financial statements which generated 2” of shredding 🙂 I have just spent a productive 15 minutes filling up coffee & sugar jars, sugar bowl & olive oil bottle (from a large tin) + moved some sponge scourers from stores to under sink cupboard & dug out kettle filters from stores.

Hi, Thank you for encouragement about the house sale. I think the kitchen photo is hilarious. It is a view no resident will ever see unless they are perched in the window. I was worried the house was too cluttered. Minimalism isn't my thing.
Queen jess, enjoy your holiday and enjoy your summer. Thank you for warning us you will be off the thread for a while , it's strange when people just disappear. I think you have done so much decluttering that you can certainly afford to relax and enjoy your home awhile.
Charlies tribe, I have a grommet too, part of the ear saga. Hats off to you for hosting your daughters friend all this time, fabulous thing for you to do.
Happy Birthday crazybunnylady, I hope you had a lovely day.xx
Brie, bin it !
Pretty flowers Muddy. I hope my next garden will be sunny enough for lavender. Glad to hear you have regained your equilibrium.
Mrs SD, I think we should have a thread holiday to the Isle of Wight. I'm another one who would like to visit.
I found a house, I think. I have lived all over the place but have never owned a house anywhere but Derbyshire. The house, actually a bungalow is in Cheshire, only just over the border but still. We went to look at it today, not officially, It's empty so we had a walk round. I will phone the agents tomorrow and get booked in. It is 1920's I would say, needs modernising but has the most gorgeous garden which will be the death of me to maintain it. It is at the very top of our budget but liveable until we shake my step daughter down for some money. This could be the one.
