London_1 we are totally opposite to you in Freshwater. When we first moved over in 2000 we started in Ryde but found we were driving to this side of the island an awful lot. Life here is so much calmer and more peaceful. Nice to have you with us and hope you enjoy your new home.
Lovely man came yesterday and totally decluttered our little yard, so happy. Even got rid of a small plastic greenhouse to a neighbour. Yard looks so much better and I feel better now it’s clear. Tomatoes have gone crazy, a (sold as) dwarf variety is like a triffid! Five feet tall and must be four feet across. Tons of flowers and I noticed a weeny tomato. Fingers crossed for a bumper crop so I can freeze some or make sauce for pasta.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Hi all
@Vulpix hope you are feeling better soon and the doc can sort it out, hugs
Well yesterday was spent mainly in the garden, 2 builders bags of bramble into the green bin and 2 LDFPA. I was going to sort my car insurance but stayed in the garden so long as it was a lovely evening by the time I sorted tea it was too late to sort. Today it was grey with odd showers so I watched a few decluttering videos to get some inspiration, managed to get into the garden in the afternoon and got another bag of bramble chopped up and into the green bin, it is full now so anything I chop tomorrow will have to go to the tip, sorted the car insurance and some bank stuff and as OH has had several parcels delivered lately, 5 just today, some presents and some things ordered for the wedding cake, I broke down and recycled 7 cardboard boxes before OH could stash them for justin. The recycling bin is half full already. There are a few more lurking but I haven't been able to get to them YET. OH was out with friends for tea so I took the opportunity to grab them then
. I have been thinking about my kitchen draws and have decided I will do 1 a day, I only have 5 draws and 1 is very small and only has tea towels so that is OK though I think I will pack away all but 3 of them, planning for the emptying of the kitchen to get it replaced. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 1 thing that can go and that's without even opening the draw so hopefully I can get rid of quite a few things
Semi caught up but I am falling asleep so hugs to anybody who would like one

Wednesday was a brighter & warmer day with a high of 25C & lots of sunshine. Although it did rain late evening. All I did was deal with my mail, watch a few episodes of Casualty & a bit of knitting. Dinner was pork shoulder steaks brushed with oil & fried, mash, cabbage & carrots. Wudupa.

It was the Epley exercise. There is another one with a weird name too. I just googled vertigo on YT and found them.
I used to go on holiday to Freshwater as my friend's family had a house there, they live there now permanently I heard. It is a lovely area.
I am so glad I don't have anything planned for the next few weeks as I am still tired! I have booked a reflexology session for today and I think I might fall asleep on the table while she is doing it.2025 GOALS

Did one big job off the list yesterday and was too tired to do anything else. Did it in stages with rests in between.
Rellie coming this morning to pick up some things I ordered for them. They are bringing their garden shears to cut back some shrubs and hedging for me.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅11 -

crazybunnylady4, sounds very mysterious 😉 but also sounds like you are thoroughly enjoying your job 😊 Excellent decluttering especially getting the blankets started on their journey 👏 Just wondering what project you have in mind for the black wool? Really sorry to hear that the council are being so useless & obstructive 🙁 No wonder you got annoyed 😠 Not sure if it might be worth contacting Citizens Advice who might be able to offer suggestions/ideas🤔
Honestly I dont have the energy to keep fighting this whole council thing - I have a 4 day work week, a house to maintain/bills to pay and a elderly parent to look after. All done on my own; I dont have any outside help (and honestly would rather do it myself cos the in home care my Nan had when she was still with us was atrocious!)

Hi, I am feeling much brighter today, Thank you all.
I hope you are sitting down, I did an on line request at the surgery and was phoned and offered a GP appointment. First time in 3 years. I saw an extremely nice young chap. who also printed off instructions for the Epley thing and prescribed some anti dizzy medication. I will need a procedure on my ear, it has always given me gyp, but I won't bore you with all that. A side effect of the tablets is drowsiness, yess, bring it on. I haven't had any decent kip for ages.
Yesterday felt very full on. Favourite step son,(fss) changed the bathroom door back to the original pitch pine one whilst Mr V took me to the Drs. Not that it's a long way away, I could hardly put one foot in front of the other. The cheap and nasty new pine door which warped once we put the central heating on was taken to bin monitor neighbour's for her fire. We had a nice lunch and a little drive about to scout out some houses. Nothing suitable atm. Fss and Mr V went to my brothers and battled to get the door I had, back to our shed. They haven't had any animals in the paddock for years and apparently the vegetation was 4 ft high and a difficult walk. I took to my bed about 6 pm and have slept like a baby.
You are doing so well with your gardening Liverpool Anne. Tomorrow I am home alone and hope I will be able to get out and do some chopping back. This little bit of warmth we have had has made everything think it's a triffid. Kitchen drawers. When we had a new kitchen I thought we needed all the utensils. It was only when I met the Ukranian lady that I looked critically at them. I was able to give her a bag full of things that were duplicates. She says these were so useful. To start from scratch in a kitchen is an expensive endeavour. I haven't missed any of what I gave her. Or for that matter any of anything I have got rid of over the years.
I am itching to get back to some decluttering and need to start this quilt.
The Estate Agent has put a sneak peak online of our house, it has photographed really well. I will see if I can post some pics.
