As the rain stopped (at least for a little) DH went back to garden shredding 😉 All done 🥳 So much for my plan - I nodded off & slept through the timer until 19:00 😔 So dinner was a bit later than intended - bbq ribs, mash & beans. Wudupa. About 19:30 there was blue sky for the first time today but it was very chilly - I resisted the temptation to put the heating on & have just put on a fleece. Are we sure it is June ……..
929 - 932 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, small glass bottle, glass jar - recycled
933 Kitchen detritus binned
QueenJess, I agree that Decluttering videos do tend to concentrate on getting started & then maintaining with no real explanation, help or discussion as to how to get from one to the other 😔 Very surprised to hear that you ALMOST had a day off from decluttering/tidying 😂 Sounds like your DH is finally realising that you are ‘very serious’ about your decluttering 🤣
2Scratters, sorry to hear that you felt compelled to resign but you have paid your dues & now need to recover your health 🙏 Although it does sound like you held off as long as possible & have been planning for such an eventuality 😥 I can almost feel your relief 😮💨 Hopefully you can get the financial frogs sorted quickly so that you can concentrate on getting healthy by treating yourself to lots of TLC 🤞 Excellent work decluttering your parents house 👏 & yippee to it already being sold 🥳 Exciting times ahead with your renovations 😊 Sorry to hear about the accident 😔 Sounds like you were very lucky to escape injury 🙏 You have definitely been having a rough time 😔 Hopefully now RL will start being kinder to you 🙏 but first I think you should spend some time in the TLC Carriage 😊 Our waiting staff are currently in training for our Orient Express style trip, so are ready to get some practice 😊
Just seen the time so I am off to bed & will repeat to myself “I must do better” 😉

Hi,
elly68, decluttering in black bag amounts is not something I could achieve, so well done for the amount you have done already.
Florenceem, it must be such a worry for you, hopefully someone will come up with a diagnosis soon. xxx
Your holiday sounded lovely Liverpool Anne, good company and good food, what more could one need.
Wanted to say that I do DD2 a disservice by saying she is dirty, wrong word, she is oblivious to not clearing up after herself. Gave her a coat as she didn't bring one and was going home in the rain.
Out, 2 very old worn out pillow cases and a baby blanket finished for the charity shop. I am getting dangerously close to having to start the patchwork quilt. I am getting through the inherited cleaning products, probably only another couple of years to go! I have actually finished the inherited toiletries. Concentrating on using up my hand cream collection now.
Having visitors today, I need to make a tomato gallette and tarte tatin. Too much pastry? I thought so.

vulpix - yes I am finding it hard not knowing what is going on with Mr F's health. I spoke to my other 2 Dds yesterday. One said that Eldest Dd told her that she thought Mr F's clothes were hanging off him when she saw him at the end of April - he has lost weight since then.
After my lazy day yesterday - I sat and watched a Christian movie last night - it was the second in a series. Concentrating on the movie was good.
Today I must make myself be productive.
There is a chap coming this afternoon about Mr F's chair risers. I am not planning to go to SA today. I want to be here in case the hospital ring about Mr F's appointment.
Dgd is now with extended family they live near Sydney. Today they are taking her to watch whales. They have planned something for each day of her stay with them.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hello everyone
Hugs to all those having health stress, work stress and life stress. I'm sure the TLC carriage is well stocked for whatever you need.
I have done a little decluttering - soft plastics dropped off at the c00p; confidential notes shredded, put in an empty cat food box and into the recycling; some photos (blurred or people I don't know!) binned; emails deleted (still over 12k though oops!).
I will be fully focusing on decluttering from July when DD2 goes off on her travels for 4 months
love to all

Hi all,
@elly68 I too would struggle counting black bags, my garden waste bags are the only thing that reaches that size in one go, the bag I use is actually bigger but the rest would confuse me trying to estimate how much would fill a black bag so I think you are doing brilliantly. Your sock collection sounds a bit like mine
@Mrs SD I think you are very brave decluttering buttons, though I do have a bit of a thing for buttons, very fond memories of playing with my Mum's button tin as a young child which makes me wonder why we spend ££££ on gifts for children now when I think of the hours I spent happily sorting buttons. A different time
@Florenceem sorry to see Mr F is still undiagnosed, it must be a great worry for you, big hugs
@Vulpix ouch for Mr V's toe, hope the pain eases soon. If the pastry is too much I baggsie a piece of the tart tatin
@2Scratters good luck with sorting things with the DWP and well done on finally clearing the parents house. Onwards and upwards for you now, the world is your lobster now you have a camper van
@weenancyinAmerica good luck with juggling your schedule, if I had to do everything you do I would have to have a schedule as well, hugs
I think I did ok yesterday. The sun was shining but there was a chilly breeze so not that warm but a reasonable drying day so the last of the holiday washing was done. I then wrapped up warm and tackled some of the garden, as usual the weeds have shot up and the bramble has not only reared its head but gone for broke while I was away. 2 bags full into the garden waste. As I am sharing the bin with ln and she has been sorting pots and her gardener had been to cut the grass and trimmed a few shrubs I managed to fill the bin with a bit of help from the spade to push it down, but it is emptied today so I dragged it to the front as it was quite heavy. The kitchen recycling and bathroom recycling were emptied. I washed out my toiletries bag as a bottle of shampoo had leaked. I usually use a shampoo bar but this was a use up from my stash and I estimate there is only one wash left in it now. A bottle of shower gel was uu and recycled and everything else returned to where it lives to be used in the bathroom
. 100 emails deleted and a bit of crochet after tea to continue the remake of the blanket. I am struggling to resist a deal spotted on the craft thread for yarn, hopefully if I procrastinate for long enough it will be sold out
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Good morning my fellow declutterati 👋 I was up & dressed by 11:30 to a damp overcast & chilly day 😔 although I will also say good afternoon as I won’t be posting until later 😅 My TV Licence finally arrived today - my own fault that it is so late as I didn’t send it off until 28th May (for 1st June renewal) 😥 Rather annoyingly they keep trying to bully me into going paperless 😖After all I pay enough for them to send me one bit of paper 😉 One mini task completed this morning - emptied office bin & recycling bag into the wheelie bins 😂
934 - 935 Office recycling & detritus
Now I will settle down & get the cheerleading done 🤞
weenancy, hopefully Di’s cat will soon be on the mend after all the shots etc 🙏 but ouch to the expense 😣 Perhaps you can make other suggestions to G about what to have for dinner 🤣
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that you have to go through the rigmarole of changing agents but the first one has done such a poor job that it is your only course of action 😔 I think that your current lethargy & lack of motivation can be attributed entirely to the weather 😔 winter seems to have lasted for almost 8 months 😢 Thanks for mentioning the power cut - we had one yesterday which lasted all of 30 seconds - although that is enough time to set all the burglar alarms off in the area 🗣️ Excellent decluttering 👏
Lovely supportive post vulpix 😊 As to better weather, I have almost given up hope but not quite 🤞 Just wondering what happened to blazing June 😂 The spare bedding is for those times when it is just not possible to wash, dry & remake your bed 😉
Liverpool_Anne, so pleased that you had such a lovely relaxing break 😊 It sounds like it was just what the doctor ordered for all of you 🥳 Beautiful location, good food, good company & mainly decent weather + a hot tub 👏 Apart from firmer pillows what more could you want 😉 Good luck with your decluttering 🍀 I must say that 17 is not a paltry number as it equals 3 days of decluttering 😉
Absolutely brilliant decluttering elly68 👏 I definitely couldn’t manage black bag counting 😉 Good luck with the car-boot sales to help your daughter 🍀
Gers, no news yet - I imagine that London_1 will report in once she has stopped celebrating that she is on her beloved IoW 😊
Florenceem, such a pity that your DD was a bit baffled by MrF’s symptoms 🧐 Hopefully his doctors will be able to join all the dots soon & start a whole body treatment plan that will set MrF on the road to recovery 🙏 You might not have left your house yesterday but I doubt that you had a lazy day 😉
Congratulations on reaching 12,000 QueenJess 👏🥳 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way to accompany your diamond 😊
weenancy, thank goodness you got to do your shopping & that you had help from 2 of your roommates 😮💨 Another very busy morning - you got a lot done 👏 Although I see that your roommates are helping a little, they are still not pulling their weight 😔 & 😖 Fingers crossed that your ‘very busy days’ go smoothly 🤞
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 & very well done on getting so many frogs done so early in the day 🥳 You are putting me to shame 😳
vulpix, a lovely supportive post 😊 I figured ‘dirty’ was not the word you wanted when describing DD2 - I have been puzzling over it as both my DH & DSis are exactly the same 😉 Your phrase “oblivious to not clearing up after herself” fits the bill perfectly 👏 Hope you have a lovely time with your visitors 😊
Florenceem, sorry to hear how hard it is with regards to MrF’s health 😢 Please, please take care of yourself 🙏 Lots of TLC is the order of the day 🙏 What a lucky young lady your DGD is - I hope she is sending you lots of photos to brighten up your day 😊 Whale watching is marvellous 🤩 Cwtches for both you & MrF (with your permission) 🤗
Wonderful to see you Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👋 Some good decluttering 👏. Are you sure you can’t accompany DD2 on her travels 🤔 not necessarily for the whole 4 months but a few weeks maybe 😉 Definitely preferable to decluttering 😂
Liverpool_Anne, another great cheerleading post 👏 Not really that brave thinning out my button collection as none of the buttons I am releasing to a new life are particularly interesting 😉 The coloured buttons were all bought years ago to use when I was knitting lots of baby jumpers/cardigans. Now it is the in-between time for our extended families - too old or too young - so no more babies on the horizon 😉 I will say that you did more than OK yesterday 😊 You got a lot done - both decluttering & tasks 👏 Love that you are resisting the temptation to buy more yarn - now that is brave 😊
Excellent decluttering elly68 👏 You are definitely on a roll 🥳 At this rate you will be on maintenance decluttering in the next month or so 🤞
All caught up so no excuses not to do some decluttering 😉 Hope everyone is having a good day & I will see you later 👋

Sorry to hear about people's struggles and I'll health.
I hope things improve soon.
I was bullied out of work and basically told that I either had to hand my notice in or I had to go to another branch to work.
I'd struggled with depression and anxiety for several years leading up to this, plus has been signed off a few times (and still do), but unfortunately it was a badly managed an not always a pleasant store and the people there just didn't understand or believe that I was struggling.
I've managed to re-home 3 SD cards and a flash drive that I bought 'just in case'.
They will leave the premises Sunday as I advertised them on the church recycling WhatsApp group.
I've 1 flash drive left that I will use myself, as I was tempted to get another and let the others go, but fortunately 1 wasn't snapped up.Decluttering campaign 2023

I've decided that as the worst room in the house is now my library (been left to last), I have been concentrating the decluttering and tidying in there today. So much gone, but so much still to go!
