Morning all. I realise that I am not doing much real decluttering ie things leaving. Definitely not getting anywhere declutterring my house.
619 Did my quiz questions but we didn't get round to e as too many of us so I have a set ready for the next one ie August as I am away in July.
620 Started doing some paid surveys - not done any for months
621 DS2 sold a top of DGD4s
622 Numerous meeting frogs dealt with
623 Decluttered the inherited files for secretary's job I have taken over. Saved originals as they came but copied to a working folder which I have tidied up - lots of duplications found and deleted. Needs more work
624 Plastics to SM
625 Purse to CS bag - only just bought it at CS but no paper notes section and I couldn't get on with it so got another one yesterday
626 Weeding and put some petunias in pots at front of house.
627 Sent family history stuff to my group post meeting

I've done very little other than work since I last posted on Monday. "Super-Cold" has wiped me out. I was planning to visit a friend who lives on the coast today but had to cancel. I figured that if I had to rest for a couple of hours after walking to the High St and back , it wasn't wise to do a 2 hour train journey.
I do feel slightly brighter today but will be sensible and just potter.
Have a lovely weekend all x. Love to all, especially those who are struggling
Edit: I remembered that I did manage to reach this week's target of practise hours (3) for my supervision qualification.

I am 10 pages behind with reading posts again and will try to catch up this weekend. It has been a busy time with medical appointments and OH has done something to his knee which physio says may take months to heal. He is not the most patient of people and he wants it fixed now.
No specific decluttering done - sorted summer clothes and left a few in the box as medical condition means I can’t currently fit in them. Have bought new dresses to replace old ones which are now only fit for wearing on jobs days at home. Carrying on with working through reading pile and started on a frog this week.
Plan to get started on decluttering and frogs tomorrow just for a couple of days then will be busy with other things for a week or so.

Apologies as I am only scanning the thread at the moment due to general job stress, so am throwing myself into the decluttering as this is something I can better control. Hugs for anyone that needs them and I'll be baking again for the TLC carriage soon.Cleared out some wish lists this morning (I only have them on two online shops). Then DD has been really into puzzles and getting very good at them, so I dug out one of the two puzzles for her from the loft. Since I was up there, I had a scout around and managed to declutter more things as well as freeing up another two boxes. Getting slowly closer towards my aim of having pretty much just Xmas decorations and suitcases up there (ignoring DH's stuff of course as I am completely indifferent to what he does with that as long as he gets round to telling me whether he wants my massive stack of boxes or if we can get rid of them).Digital:
107 - items deleted from wish list
Physical:
5 - sticker sheets used up
1 - DS’s suitcase he doesn’t want (Buy Nothing)
1 - broken toy (binned)
2 - instructions (recycled)

27 - books (Buy Nothing)

Oops, forgot to post yesterday 🙊 So the following is all about Thursday & Friday but with no cheerleading 😔
DH has put up the new bird feeder arm on the shed - it looks really good 😊 It has also had several visitors already 👏
DH did a bit more pottering in the garage + filled the bird feeders. I finished knitting a 2nd ShArf (mini shawl/scarf) just need to weave in ends & add a button & button hole 😉 DSis did two lots of LDFPA - managed to get mostly dry on the whirligig 😊 Dinner was creamy bacon & pea linguine. Wudupa.
908 - 912 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 newspapers, magazine - recycled
913 Kitchen detritus binned
Friday is another bright, cloudy day but feels slightly warmer as there is only a gentle breeze 🙂 DH has been busy in the garage - finishing off the prepping work to repair the Harley Davidson which has been sitting in the garage for at least 18 months 😱 I was up late (12:20) but no headache this time 😮💨 A small flurry of activity - I have harvested some radishes which have been washed; wrote a shopping list for DH; peeled some cooking apples which are now cooked. Lastly I repaired a hole in one of DSis’s tops by darning. Used embroidery thread although the colour is not a perfect match 😕
DH back & shopping put away. He also bought 3 for £5 violets which he has planted out & watered in, as well as watering the potato bags. I took in a parcel for neighbour A which she has just collected & after ascertaining that she likes radishes I gave her a few of the harvested radishes. The only other thing I did was a final bit of ‘pen line removal’ from my embroidery project. Now need to iron, find some packaging & then post to recipient 😉 Dinner was our usual Friday fare - fish in breadcrumbs, chips/fries & peas. Wudupa. DSis & I watched a lovely film called “10 Lives”
914 - 915 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
916 Kitchen detritus binned

More hugs to all whether you need them or not. OH is having a bad day and I've been having to give him hugs too. I'm very forgetful about doing that. But whatever is going on with him or even me is nothing compare to others so forgive me if I say I'm thankful. It's always hearing about others' struggles that keeps me putting my life in perspective.

Saturday is not as bright as the last few days - more overcast than cloudy. I was up late again - having gone to bed at 04:45 & then waking at 07:45 to take the milk in from the doorstep 😉 Good news - the recycling wheelie bin was finally emptied this morning (it was getting rather full 😥) - only 2 days late 😉 I have my first cuppa & will settle down to the cheerleading now that I have woken up a little 😅 Starting from Thursday 17:00 …….
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 Sounds like you have done a great job in the shed & even found time for some gardening 🥳 Great work using up your yarn 👏 Pity you don’t live closer to Florenceem as she has donated so much yarn to her local CS that you would be spoilt for choice 😉 It also sounds like you will soon be clutter free indoors & can continue your major outdoor decluttering projects 😊 Fingers crossed for some nice weather whilst your family are visiting 🤞
Nice to see you daisy_1571 👋 Pleased to hear that you are making use of the facilities 😊 I can picture you relaxing & just getting ready for our Orient Express trip ☺️ I am still negotiating with a couple of the Paris fashion houses - a tad difficult as my French is very poor although it is gradually getting better 😉
TC77, every little bit counts 😊
crazybunnylady4, remember that it is just as important to keep up with the daily decluttering 😊 so there is no such thing as “not much to report” 😉 Sorry to hear about your DMum’s rheum. arth 😔 but pleased to hear that she is managing to enjoy her gardening 😊 Shame about missing out on the summer promotion 😕
Florenceem, that was a long time spent on buses on Thursday 😔 No wonder you were exhausted 😩 Great news that MrF can hear better 😊 I hope Friday wasn’t as exhausting 🤞
vulpix, re the Forth Bridge I was watching something on TV the other day (shame I can’t remember what - old age galloping up on me 😉) ……………….. just remembered “Antiques Road Trip” & I remember the chap saying that the paint job on the Forth Bridge was good for 20 years. I remember feeling very deflated 😂 Hopefully the same will be true of your shed decluttering 😉 Good luck with the under-stairs decluttering & tidying 🍀
Excellent work with your ‘neutral items’ Happy_Kitties 👏
One page caught up 🥳 DH had a little flurry of activity - filled the bird feeders & also repaired the hanging mechanism on another one 👏 He is currently on a mission to use up old fat balls 😉 Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday 🙂

P.S. it has come over very dark so looks like it will rain soon 😕

Slept after the alarm - woken up by the phone ringing - it was Ddil. She wanted to collect a bag that had been left here - bedding from Ikea - youngest DD has one near her in Greenwich - we are miles from a store.
Ddil + Ds and 2 Dgds arrived.
Mr F was trying to trim his toe nails so I finished the job for him.
I popped to SA and there was loads of donations - lots of new with tags clothes - even an unworn wedding dress.
Mr F took my shopping trolley of stuff to the charity shop and I popped to Ald. for some shopping.
I have cooked our meal early as we are out this evening to a talk on chocolate - with samples!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
