Good late afternoon all
Hope everyone is well - called off work today. I have had a intermittent pain in my forearm last couple of weeks, and then last night reached up to shut a window and ouccch...still achy this morning so painkillers and rest today. Think it's started up from all the emails/typing I've done this week!
Expedited a parcel from Amazon which is a wrist rest for my work keyboard and mouse. They arrived an hour ago so will put them to the test tomorrow! Hopefully they will help with my arm muscle ouchies.
Sat with DMum while she finished off her potting in the garden this morning. We got the run set up outside so Mac could join us. Think he quite enjoyed it, as hes an indoor bunny most of the time.
While outside, binned a old plastic pot and DMum sorted out and recycled some bits and bobs from the garage. She then found some other small pots so now more plants needed!
Decluttered bunny litter tray while Mac was in the run, and hoovered the living room. Luckily I am ambi-dexterous so not a massive struggle. But a woman's work....
Managed a little crochet today...just knitting odd squares of LO wool up gradually to put together into a blanket for a wildlife charity I used to be part of.
So far nearly 2 big squares done, may need to get some more wool as the other stuff I have isnt suitable (was bought specially to make a lightweight shawl). However I do have some black wool so will make a scarf as the wildlife charity take those too for their rangers on patrol.
Takeaway for lunch and something light for dinner as still stuffed!
Hopefully will feel more up to the task of the paid stuff tomorrow.

We left home an hour before Mr F's hearing test appointment - arrived 10 minutes early.
They are ordering some new hearing aids for Mr F - ones that they think he will be able to wear without setting up an infection because of his narrow ear canals. Now we have to wait for them to arrive at the hospital and then have them fitted.
We then went to the unit which asked him to return - he had a cannula put in and was sent for a contrast ultrasound of his chest, abdomen and pelvis.
Then he had a blood test before they attempted to drain fluid from his chest. They made many attempts but couldn't get any fluid out - did get some blood - so he is going to have it done in radiology. They will phone with an appointment.
We were hours in the unit - good job I packed our lunch.
Mr F was told that he has 3 fractures in his ribs - obviously where he has fallen.
The Dr said that he was going to come and talk to us about the test results. I had to remind him.
No definite diagnosis but it was the worst of the two sorts of fluid - exudative.

I am just reporting decluttering mostly from yesterday as not done much today yet. May do some easy things in front of the TV or I'm sure I'll get rid of some more stuff as I put a few things away this evening. Managed another 50 things gone yesterday and carried on with my tidying. All Buy Nothing stuff has been picked up and not got enough to fill a charity bag/box, so must be time for the next round of things.House is looking a bit better, although as always, more to do. Got DH to help me clear the window sill that is very high above the stairs and put my new plant on it that will eventually grow down the wall (has to be in the corner else I can't reach it to water). I did have a big ornament on it that is huge and doesn't really go anywhere else. I am considering if I can put it somewhere or if I still want it. It was a gift from my nan so is a tricky one... will have a think.Digital:

Hi, I found stuff from Mum's under the stairs that I had shoved in there as I was too stressed to deal with them. Dealt with now. I did dither about a beautiful linen table cloth. Hahahaha I haven't even got a table. So a bag of bedding for the charity shop, a bag of frames for another and some local history stuff for another. I have kept for now the photos that were in the frames and 2 white sheets for crafting. I will also add to the bags 2 hand knit baby jumpers and a pair of trousers. I only bought them about a week ago but they are too big.
Also gone today soft plastic recycling and a bag of blister packs to my neighbour whose work collects them. 23 cans of pop given to DD2 and 6 cans of cider. Mr V overbuying again. We won't talk about the olive debacle.
DD2 coming to stay till Monday. I will have to move everything off the bed.
Have a nice weekend folks.

Hello all, as you can see I can't sleep, too many thoughts going on in my mind. Please can I have permission to declutter this year as I seem to be lurching from one disaster to another. After my cancer diagnosis I thought my year couldn't get any worse, how wrong was I. On Thurs evening my Dad, who was at an evening D.Day commemoration with his neighbours in our local park, suffered a stroke and has been left with slurred speech and is not able to use his left arm, he also has a weakness in his left leg. Thankfully the St Johns ambulance were in attendance and came to our house to get us, then took Dad to hospital in their ambulance while we followed in our car. Currently Dad is in a local hospital getting superb medical care. This week I start my radiotherapy treatment too so I hope I can get through all this without ending up in the next hospital bed ! Sorry for the "woe is me" post again. I have decluttered several loads of washing and put it away though.
Florenceem hugs to you and your DH, you both seem to be going through the wringer too.
Hugs to all in need

Yesterday, went to help my friend with her English family history. Got a call from my sister crying and ended up going to her house yesterday afternoon. I had been sitting for her dog for the last couple of weeks knowing that the dog was definitely going downhill. My sister had refused to acknowledge it - but yesterday, the dog just couldn't stand up and so my sister called to have a vet come and put the dog to sleep. My other sister and her husband came down too to be with her while the dog was pts. So I won't be going to sit with the poor little dog (he was 18 years old). I may be going over to sit with said sister occasionally though as she had foot surgery and is working from home for several weeks and gets very lonely, especially without the dog. Her office had a very nice bouquet of flowers delivered to the house. They arrived just before the vet did.
Today took roommate Di to the doctor. He is concerned about her kidneys losing function and about the fact that she doesn't follow instructions very well. Well no, she is terrible about following instructions. She always expects me to make her appointments - but she has to learn to stand on her own two feet. It is very hard on both of us. Her cat is having medical problems and may have to be put to sleep this next week too. So it is a hard time right now with pets around here. But he is definitely helping with decluttering her room (she took out two bags of trash on Wednesday alone) as she has to get to where he is hiding by cleaning up the room so we can take him to the vet and find out what is wrong with him. He is coming out occasionally to eat but is usually in the middle of the night.
We were having your weather except the actual rain - grey skies and gloomy weather most of the day. Not as warm as normal, but it is changing. Next week will be really warm - or hot (32C anyone). So have to get out tomorrow and trim down the weeds or it will be too hot to do it and some of them are taller than me. May have to call in some help or the pool person won't be able to get through to clean it this week. It will almost be warm enough to use in a week or two and I don't want the neighbor's kids disappearing in the weeds when they come over to swim. When my brother was alive, we kept it heated but the heater gave up 30 years ago just after my brother died (he had muscular dystrophy).
We did start the Summer Reading program at the Library this week for adults as well as children. I have already read three books for it waiting for Di and G at their appointments. So I get my first prize if I want it tomorrow. Will have to make certain I really want it (like a voucher for a free meal out) rather than something that will just add to the clutter. Don't need any new books for sure.
Missed reading on MSE entirely yesterday as so much was going on. Just caught up. Hope you all have a summer soon. Ours really comes from July through to the first week of October. September is often the hottest month of the year. Right now all the grey skies make it hard for me to get things done. People on here seem to accomplish so much even when it is raining. I am impressed.15 -
