Not counting it, but I made myself take a library book back today as it's not the one I'm reading. It's always so tempting to come out with a pile, and it is a use it or lose it service, so it benefits all to keep the foot count up and go in. But I'm supposed to be bringing my TBR pile down too.Keep reading books!

floriana , hahaha
Thank you for my star and hugs Mrs SD. I think we were all a bit emotional the other day. Selling the house is very final. Mum has all her best loved things with her. I am truly amazed though at how she has let things go. The house has been cleaned today ready for photographs on Monday. No doubt my brothers stuff still in the middle of the floor. Mum has only been asking him to collect it for the past 40 years.
We went out for lunch, then to the £1 chazzer, £4 spent. Not tried anything on yet. I got some tiny dog tooth check M n S trousers, an off white M n S top, a Sainsburys navy shrug and an air force blue Roman jumper. Also Bought 2 tins of paint ( how much?) so that negates the 2 tins I used the other day. The front and back doors are going green this year, with an off white frame. Ah yes, we also got a mountain ash sapling to plant in the top garden.
When my painting marathon is done I will make a start on the new garden. It will be a long job. Someone put a photo online the other day of when the lane was in use. He said it was from 1970. Astonishing how nature has reclaimed it.
I have been prepping for the tote bag production line. I am also using some vintage Designers Guild fabric that I bought when I first got married. It has been curtains in the house then remade into play house curtains and I have been saving it, waiting for the inspiration to make it into bags. I will send a selection of bags plus 6 jasmine cuttings to the Spanish dog sanctuary fund raiser. As I thrifted most of my fabric and all of Mum's fabric a few months ago ,I asked for some on Thrift. Got some fabric for lining the bags and I will pass on what I don't use.

GrannyKate, Helsinki sounds wonderful 😊 I am putting in an early request for photos 😉 Great decluttering of tasks 👏 Sounds like nothing much has changed then with unhelpful building societies/banks ☹️
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 I see you have passed another milestone for this year - over 9,000 🥳
Floss, I take it Dulux Natural Calico was the replacement for Magnolia 😂 Not sure I could ever cope with a fuchsia pink bedroom 😉 but I love the current colour 😊
wishus, what a great Friday night project 👏 By the way 161 items added to 958 (which was the last number I had noted) means that you are now on 1,119/2024 & so a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 😊 A joint pampering session - I love it 😍
weenancy, an excellent result from the book sale 👏 Hopefully you managed a few days of holiday on at least some of your research trips 🤞 You are another of our Declutterati who are looking forward to our Orient Express trip 😊 1920’s/1930’s attire sounds perfect 😍 I like the idea of a 40 day 10,000 mile trip across & around the USA 😊 Hope the weather stays cooler than usual whilst you are tackling the yard 🤞
Excellent decluttering Crazycatlady2 👏 & wishing you successful completion of your summer house 😊
Liverpool_Anne, good luck with the mosaic 🍀 I hope there are plenty of volunteers especially as you are doing Three stands 🤩
What a wonderful post London_1 😊 Thank you so much for sharing your memories with us 👏 Especially the reminder that being paid weekly & in cash used to be the norm 😉 Hope the shredding went well 🤞
vulpix, hope you are enjoying your weekend & are managing to put aside RL issues 😊 Definitely an Orient Express trip - confirmed as 10 days - Paris to Istanbul & back again 😊 Posh dress code 😉 Although I have still not quite finalised our start date 🤔
Excellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Sounds like you had a great day out on Friday 😊 No wonder you were tired - 16,000 steps 😯 You completely lost me - Olivia WHO?
QueenJess, hopefully you can enjoy our ‘virtual trip’ - the EDT’s new two storey carriage is being configured to look like the Orient Express. I am thinking that we can have cocktails in the upper glass domed part of the carriage & then go downstairs to the fine dining restaurant with full Silver Service 😊 Excellent work with the decluttering 👏 & hopefully DH’s mutterings will turn into action 🤞 Perhaps your DD’s desire to declutter will inspire her dad 🤞😉🙏
Only 8 posts behind now, so a final push tomorrow 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Just a mini declutter whilst I was waiting for DD to get up, including a teeny tiny bit of my wardrobe. Hopefully I'll be back later with more... I did finally get DH to agree to getting rid of a water bottle that he's never, ever used. I've only asked every 6-12 months for the last 5 years!1 - shorts that don’t fit

My younger sons bedroom in that house was very multi-coloured with a whole wall of posters, a large metal 'STOP' sign he brought home one night (as 15yo boys do 🙄) and a geometric design in orange, lime green & bright blue on the other walls, all designed & painted by him.
I felt quite sorry for whoever rented that house after we moved out!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi all, well I have sort of caught up with the posts, some really lovely photos
but I have a scrambled brain this morning so not much has been retained
@Vulpix I hope you can help your Mum sort out all her paper work and bank issues. There is a knack with wheel chairs and steps, ask me how I know, years of taking young people to places that say they are accessible only to be confronted by a flight of steps and don't even get me started on trips to the beach over the sand dunes that have "accessible" boardwalks
big hugs.
@QueenJess an amazing amount of things sorted
The past couple of days I seem to have been all over the place. Neighbour over the road had a microwave malfunction, needed for the carers to heat his meals as they can't do food any other way so a new one organised and set up, old one and big box taken to the tip along with 2 bags of hard plastic and a cracked watering can, various bins emptied, several LDFPA, ln's hanging baskets finished and big pots started, bulbs out and other plants put in and all watered several times. Ln has had her staples removed so can now shower which she is so happy about but will have to be watched even more closely now. Emails deleted and union things progressed. The mosaic thing went well, lots of people to help, we were finished by about 3 so I was home by 4 but very hot and worn out
had to have a half hour lay down to cool off
. I won't bore you all with a list, adding 19 which surprised me considering how little time I have been in the house
. OH has done a bigish shop, no real idea what has been bought but there are 2 big bags of shopping on the kitchen floor which I will have to sort out this morning and I have a load of washing already on the line but I will out this afternoon at the footy so that is probably as much as I will get done today
, might get another load of washing done
Right better get weaving. Hugs to everyone who would like one
729 - 747 all sorts, not the liquorice variety unfortunately
Take care everyone
