I visited Toronto back in 2006, and was glad I did.
It was good place to visit and am hoping to travel back there, amongst other places if I can get myself physically and mentally work ready and financially able to.
Especially once back in employment, if I'm able to.
Edit to add, I had my mum and step father go through stuff to be nosey and find things to sell when finances were tight.
It wasn't particularly nice or helpful for me psychologically I must admit, plus it's probably one reason why I'm struggling with things.

Well having grown up near Niagara Falls I do have a fairly good knowledge of the place. Lived in Toronto off and on, Kingston, Ontario as well as Guelph. Vancouver for a couple of years. Home base (mom & 1 bro) is still near Niagara with 1 bro of 3 in Toronto and another north of Vancouver in Whistler.
I only get over about once a year and normally come home with a suitcase full of my favourite biscuits...mmmm Fudgeoos!!!

Hello
Airing cupboard emptied apart from spare towels I might use in the interim.
Two items dropped off locally and three to be dropped off at a friend when I’m free to head out her way. And a new pile started for charity shop.Suitcases are sat inside which I’ll use to put clothes from my drawers nearer the move time.Just need to hoover inside it. Then another mental tick ticked!14 -
Never found original blue bear - but probably have about 200 bears now if I include the Beanie Baby Bears. Every once in awhile, I give a bag of bears to the Christmas toy collection, but it doesn't seem to make a dent in my supply. Parents also gave away several other things that were important to me over the years. It really does affect how well you can let go of things. The mental struggle is harder than the physical struggle to let go.
I think we have gotten to "optimum upheaval" and haven't been able to start the clearing away stage. I did set myself a "goal" of getting rid of three things from the kitchen a day (made it two days in a row now) and getting all the trash I can into the trash bins. Can't stand for more than a couple minutes without pain at the moment (neuropathy), but trying to get up every 15 minutes and move something has helped.
Gloomy start to morning, but has cleared up to mostly sunny. Have several errands to run. Then to the FamilySearch Centre tonight. Have a great day if possible.17 -
How has 9 days gone so quickly? spare a thought for me tomorrow starting work at 5am!
Had a lazy morning yesterday, then WFH and then a plea from a friend so out last night.
Was up at 6am this morning and 2 lots of washing done and out by 9am go me. Then accompanied a friend to the hospital for a test, quick meal and then WFH.“HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. Been awake since 4 and spent about 5 hours at the hospital with DS for his appointment today, so am absolutely shattered. As a result, I am now in bed. DS is fine and everything went well, so looks like one allergy removedJust another quick check in to note I reached my target of 50 items for the kitchen this month! Not sure you can exactly see the difference in the cupboards yet though1 - food cupboard overstock used up

Good evening. Another busy day. Dropped DD2 at college. 2 hours in ENT for a checkup with DS2, all okay. Collected DD2. I've stripped our bed, done 4 loads of washing, 2 dried on line, 2 waiting to go out tomorrow, bed remade and while I was there I sorted through my drawers and threw out some bits and then made tikka and rice while DH took DD2 to dance.
Hoping we'll all have an earlier night ad DD2 has her English reading exam tomorrow and I need to add some exercise to losing this weight before just watching the calories isn't doing anything (lost 4lb in April by just watching my food intake)

Sorry, not been round here much. Entering the final bit of bathroom chaos. Tiles are down, painting half done. Even though I can shower at the gym, I think it's a bit bad form to shave there so my leggy locks are lovely long and luscious.
Into the recycling today, along with all the boxes, have gone 4 books past their best, an old pen pot and a stray demi-john cap. That's 869 now!Keep reading books!
