Thank you for the gold star Mrs SD.
Happy Birthday mini Siebrie.
It does sound like Mr F is ready for a check up Florenceem.xx
Much love and strength to you RiF.xx
Yesterday was busy. Got the curtains washed and dried and now in a bag. Wrapped up the collection of blue and white Abbey ware from Mum's dresser and took it to Mum.Brought home a box of stuff Mum has sorted for the chazza. Packed 2 boxes of household stuff at Mum's for the Ukranian lady. I asked her if she would like Mum's round pine table and 4 chairs plus the pine Welsh dresser. Yes please. We have arranged to make a start at delivering them on Wednesday. They live 10 miles away so it will take a while and several trips but it's not essential stuff. I have also started to undercoat 4 side tables for them. They are old fashioned but will be nice painted up in duckegg paint. Then I will stop. The poor woman will think I am taking over her life. I really empathise with her and am glad to pass things on, Useful stuff but not really what a charity shop wants. eg a tape measure, curtain hooks, dish drainer rack etc.
In between coats of paint I am knitting a little hoody for DGS. I have knitted a jumper too but I hate the sewing up so do it in short bursts. All I have done about the tote bags is to get the fabric out. I only do easy knitting, things that I can do whilst the TV is on. I don't actually enjoy much telly but Mr V loves it and I am used to the back ground noise now.
Mr V went shopping whilst I cooked meat balls in homemade tomato sauce with cauliflower rice. He had to re mortgage the house to buy a bottle of olive oil,
I woke very early today so tired again. I have had grotty hayfever for at least a week. I always used to feel for pupils at school.taking their exams in hayfever season.
DS phoned the other day,he only has 3 more Mondays until he leaves his head of English teaching job. He finally got the go ahead for his new job in London and will start in July. DIL goes back to work in June and DS will have the pleasure of having DGS for a month before he starts work and the little fella goes to nursery.
Floss, I strongly encouraged Mr V to tell DD2 that he was having an operation. All the other kids, 4 of em know his diagnosis. He wanted to protect her as her Mum died from cancer and then I had it too. She doesn't know his diagnosis but knows he will be going into hospital. Softly ,softly catchee monkey. Mr V is very protective of DD2 as she was 6 when her Mum died. However I think she will be furious when she finds out everyone knew except her.
A bit of painting on the cards for me and I will change the bed,,,again. Fomo!

Tea and cake to anyone that needs it, so many of the declutterati juggling difficult things.
The weather is foul and our plans were cancelled for other reasons, so I've been through my wardrobe and added to the CS/to sell piles. I seem to have a lot of exercise gear... I may have to start exercising.16 -
retiredinfrance - hope they have checked his sodium level.
St Georges day parade in town today - we are not going.
Been to Church - Mr F came this week.
Captain C is away next weekend - he has asked me to take charge of the refreshments for Sunday's afternoon service.
I have been asked to shorten the sleeves on a jacket so will tackle that this afternoon.

nannywindow said:I decluttered a scan yesterday and was in and out before my appointment time as the hospital was deserted, it looked like the Marie Celeste, very eerie. Afterwards we went to the hospital restaurant and had a meal, lamb hotpot for me and a cheese pasty and chips for DH, very good quality and value for money too. Tomorrow I have an MRI at noon but I have to wait for 3/4 hrs and then go back for part 2, think we'll go and have another meal in the hospital restaurant to pass some of the time. If we lived nearer I'd go every day, the food is so good.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Its been raining all day til about 4.30. Cat is not amused that I stole his new play toy rag to clean the floor at the back door. The mad cat has discovered that he could use it to launch his pom pomish ball off.

Hi
nanny xx, As I had been so ill having DS they took no risks and I had to go to the hospital every week for a scan with DD1. My Mum used to come to mind DS whilst I was in. We didn't mind the 60 mile round trip as it was a treat to have out standing fish and chips every Friday in the canteen.
machasraven, Thank you for the compliment. I don't feel amazing.Haha.
Painting done. Sewing up of one and a half baby jumpers done. Washing dried outside. It was a lovely afternoon after the wash out this morning. Stunning weather in the Shetland Islands, DD1 sent pics of their walk today.
I can not wait to get my Mothers house empty and sold. I have had a couple of panic attacks in the past week.I need a very long trip in the tlc carriage. Can it be an orient express tlc carriage or The Canadian rockies carriage please?

Hi all, not a good decluttering day. A very large rubbish bag from the lr binned, a bag of garden waste and 100 emails deleted. I chose to sit in the sun for a while today
. I also resolutely sat on my hands until OH had cleared most of the mess in the kitchen after cooking for the niece
. At one point I couldn't even find a space to put the cups down to make tea, had to balance them on the counter in front of the microwave but it is mostly cleared now
I fell asleep on the couch and I am heading for bed now. Sorry I haven't caught up with the posts so I will say hugs to anybody who would like one.
650 bag of carp from me
651 weeds
652 100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

Hello, cwtches to those who need them. A busy weekend helping a friend clear her shed yesterday and 2 tip runs done. Will need a couple more tip runs. We have to separate all materials so every box needed to be unpacked and sorted. Every black bag is checked by the 'tip police'!
Have a good day everyone, I need to move so on time for the school and office.

I rehomed the net curtains yesterday, so about 8/9 approx.
The normal curtains didn't go, but will add them to the church recycling WhatsApp group.
I will need to attempt the mock papers and some revision for the gcse in maths as the exams are happening in the next 6 weeks.
My head and heart haven't been in it the past couple of months, despite wanting to pass and do well.
Plus attempt to get some sort of improvement to the routine/tidying plus decluttering and everything else.
I'm fortunate to have a friend help me when she can with the maths, but my headspace hasn't been great and I'm frustrated with not being able to pick up what I need to learn for the gcse as well as feeling a bit let down that people in church are happy to support others who are struggling, but other than the maths and the occasional 'chat' with someone, I'm largely left to get on with it.
I'm taking it as a sign I'm not struggling as badly the other people, but it makes me wonder.
Especially as there seems a group that have known each other for years that are friends, with several that holiday together, and I feel that I'm on the outskirts of the church and group looking in, rarely get a message or call to ask how I am from anyone in church.
Edit to add, I'm probably too independent/not keen on the way that support can be offered or seems to be done.
And would just appreciate an invite to something every not and then and people wanting to be friends with me, rather just than from the others on the outskirts of the church.
I will get a message to ask if I would help with something though.
Thank you everyone, moan over.Decluttering campaign 2023

Pennypincin - experiences such as you describe at your Church are all too common. No wonder some folk don't want to attend a Church. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would attend the Salvation Army Church but here I am. As our officer said yesterday - look around - where else would you meet up with this group of people.
I attended three places of worship before the SA and I can honestly say that there is so much love in our Church. After my first marriage to an alcoholic - I was traumatised if I smelt alcohol on someone. Now I mix with drug addicts and alcoholics.
I started the task of altering the sleeves on my friend's lined jacket - my first time. I opened up a sleeve seam but found it fiddly after trimming off the required amount of fabric. I will have another go today - I will not be beaten. My friend previously bought a jacket and took it to an alteration shop to have the sleeves shortened - she was charged £15 a sleeve - she only paid £10 for the item in a sale. I don't charge as being able to sew is a gift from God.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
