Hi all,
@Vulpix that really is terrible news. I have lost 4 good friends in the past 4 years, when the first friend went I was devastated, we were work colleagues as well as friends and had worked together in the same class for 15 years, we never once had a cross word but we did have a lot of laughs which was sometimes the only way to get through some very challenging situations. We were going to retire together and had great plans for things we were going to do then but unfortunately she didn't make it. I hang on to the thought that I was very lucky to have known her and have such happy memories of her. Give bit by bit a hug from me next time you see her and please make sure you take care of yourself. I think we all understand that you have no heart to think about decluttering numbers right now but we are all here to support you in any way we can so please stay with us and keep us posted on what is happening with you and yours as well as bit by bit. Big hugs. I will do some research about your top garden and see what I can come up with.
I have had a reasonable day today, we went out for lunch with a friend and her ds, 7 jigsaws and 2 books passed on, a couple of magazines into the recycling, I gave OH the pile of mail sitting on the gas cupboard and the recycling bin and asked that it be sortedso the lr recycling bin emptied again and another box OH was keeping for justin broken down and put into the recycling
. I am pushing gently to get the heaps by the couch sorted. On the way home from lunch we took a bin bag of hard plastic to the tip. I have sorted some clothes from the pile in the conservatory and they are now in the ironing pile and I am convincing myself that they will be done tomorrow after I have tried them on to make sure they still fit
.
Off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
547 - 553 jigsaws

556 magazines recycled

Monday is another bright dry day so far although not sunny. Up late again. DH made my first cuppa which I drank & then headed off to CW - banked cheques, withdrew some cash & found my weekly magazine 🙂 Bus to P.O. & bought stamps - no 30p denominations just 20p & 10p 😔 (the price of overseas stamps might have gone up to £2.50 but I still think it is amazingly cheap 😊) + posted birthday cards & letter. Bus home & DH made my 2nd cuppa as well 😇 DH had received a couple of packages so I shredded the paper packaging & emptied shredder. Shredding was added to black bin bag so now DH has a bagful of shredding for worm bedding. Set aside monies for April & May “1p Savings Challenge” + spent a little time sorting out my accounts. Dinner was mushroom risotto made from scratch. Wudupa. The dry day only lasted until 20:00 😔
503 - 506 Kitchen recycling, magazine, cardboard box, glass wine bottle - recycled
507 - 508 Old toothbrush repurposed for garage use & shredding for worm bedding

Sad news - thoughts and prayers with @bit_by_bit and @vulpix. Not been keeping up much as half term - few hours to myself today until DGCs are back pm but need to shop and do some paperwork. Have a few bits to drop off so will try and do that when I am out.

428-431 Pillows x 4 replaced by DS2 - I will drop them off at a recycling place today

No news on my house sale. On the buying front the Estate Agent who failed to turn up for viewing last Thursday has not contacted me with another date. House looks a bit untidy so plan a whizz round at weekend. Next free weekend, a fortnight later, I have arranged to go to DSil's down South for a few days.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Mr F saw the doctor yesterday about his blood test results - he is still anemic and there is an issue with his liver. I told him to tell the Dr about the lump on his elbow - he is having an xray - she thinks it is arthritis - not heard of that displaying as a lump.
After lunch Mr F took another walk into town with stuff for the charity shop.
The gates arrived at last - chap put them in the garage for me.
Mr F said that there were sacks of donations outside SA so we went round - sorted 9 bags.
We weren't needed to do the food delivery.
I did some crafting yesterday - made 8 cards.

@vulpix - it was such a shock to read of Bit by Bit’s illness and also incredibly sad. She sounds like a marvellous person who provided a lot of support to everyone around her. I’m glad you two met as you seem so well suited and your enjoyment at seeing each other always came across very strongly. I hope that you will come on here and ramble whenever you wish. Love to you both xxNo decluttering is going on here, other than keeping up with the rubbish and recycling. I am ill again but nothing major, just a virus. Any energy I do have is having to go towards dealing with a difficult situation. This will be for a few weeks more so I will just continue reading along for the interim and cheering everyone on in the background.Mrs SD - I did enjoy seeing your daisy lawn and also admired the little flowering cherry that you have planted in the hedge line. That will look gorgeous in years to come.16

Too busy to do much decluttering, but I am trying to get through little bits of tidying (which usually leads to some decluttering as there's a reason it's hanging around). Not sure why I can never seem to get to the end of the tidying and there's always a level of stuff hanging around... often it is something I need to deal with, but maybe it's still too hard to put things away (i.e. too much stuff still). Will keep assessing. At least it's miles better than it's ever been.Physical:New total = 6,818

@vulpix Oh my, so sorry to hear of Bit by Bit's health decline. I too had missed her posting. Look after yourself also. xx
@GrannyKate I'd be kicking the EA backside they don't deserve your business behaving that way.
@Liverpool_Anne nice to see some small wins with OH and I am sure he will love the benefit of the clearer area and he may have a bit of a go himself. You too are moving stuff along quite nicely. I feel so much better we are out of the drudge of winter even though we have a fuel burner to snuggle down with.
I have used up some scrap paper which has created space on the table - going for smaller paper now. The anticipation of finding the next lot to UU when you are procrastinating brings a little joy. Especially when I am SABLE in itI get to go through an area to check and also gives an opportunity of checking what is actually in there. I have just now decided having written that, I will in time go through each cupboard or storage area and list what is there which will help with further decluttering.
Bit of good news for those who may not have heard yet the the BayE are not charging for listing preowned clothes. It is starting immediately even for those with listed items in that category will not be charged. I will be having a go at that. Need to recycle some pennies and declutter obviously.
Have a good week

The daisy picture was lovely. When going through my mother's papers I came across a letter she wrote to my dad when he was in hospital about 1953/54. She was sat with baby (late DB no 3) in the pram in the park whilst writing and she refers to me as making copious daisy chains and expresses the hope that I don't expect to take them all home. It made me smile when I found it.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Morning all, just plodding along here and doing what I can, when I can.
Vulpix I'm so sorry to read about your lovely friend Bit By Bit, gentle hugs to you both and I shall be keeping you both in my thoughts 🧡
Yesterday I managed to dust our bedroom, go me ! Two loads of washing have been done today with the help of DH but no chance of drying anything outside as the showers are coming thick and fast, shame really as there is a very strong wind blowing. I asked DH to get 2 suitcases down from the top of the wardrobe, they contain summer clothes, as I need a top to go under another one ready for a funeral next week, turning up in a black sheer blouse is a definite no no ! Could you imagine the looks I'd get, I'd never live it down.
In one suitcase I also found a xmas dress (black with a big reindeer on the front) that has gone in a cs bag. The only other decluttering done has been the daily detritus.
Hope everyone is well, hugs to those who are poorly or struggling, I shall leave some cakes in the TLC carriage for you.

I didn't read posts yesterday as we were at the theme park with the children (never again in school holidays!).
