Hi all, a sorting day again today although I have decluttered some hair and money at the hairdressers
. The cs was still shut, I think I will have to look for a different one to donate to if they aren't open by next week. I grabbed a bag from the rod and sorted through it. More gift bags and bits and pieces. Stuff either put away or binned/recycled. I think I will have to resort my gift bags as they are outgrowing their storage space
even though I am trying hard to use them up
. I have a few piles of things that need to be distributed to cs and friends as they are really starting to get in the way now
I got a lovely message from the recipient of the cowl and fingerless mitts, and then another one from her fiance with a pic of her wearing them. She loves them
I spent some time on my emails, 100 deleted.
I forgot to say yesterday's hospital visit was cancelled as our friend texted to say there were lots of viruses on her ward, covid suspected, and she couldn't talk much as it made her cough so she didn't think it wise for us to visit yet. She is still having intravenous antibiotics but feels she is getting better after 5 days in there. We will maybe visit on Friday if she is up to it.
@florianatwobob, @Muddy_Walker and @Florenceem thank you for the advice for my friend. I have made a note of it and will pass it on to her
@Floss and @D123456789, thanks for the info about v1nted, I was asking for my dsis who is going to try to sell some clothes inherited from my dniece
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer do you think your daughter would provide the same service for my dsis? Usually she asks me about anything techy, not that I am anywhere near an expert, but I usually know enough to calm her down in a crisis
@Florenceem I am glad the medics are investigating Mr F's falls, hope it is something easily sorted hugs.
@tibawo I have b12 jabs but that is because I am b12 deficient and they are prescribed by the doctor. I would say that you should ask your doctor if they would be beneficial for you. I am deficient because I am veggie and as a side effect of some medication I take but in theory you should be able to get all the b vitamins you need from a balanced diet but there are lots of things that can cause deficiencies and that should probably be investigated by the doctor.
@Brie how brave are you feeling
@Mrs SD thank you for my star, by next year I hope to have sorted out my signature so I can add them, I know in theory how to do it but I tend to use my k1ndle for this forum and it's not the same layout etc.
Tomorrow I have to go shopping, I have put it off since before Easter but we do have some space in the freezer now and OH is starting to fretand I have a footy match in the evening so I will see what I can do between times
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Oh my life, the dust...
The cellar is now prepped for slurry, a huge chunk of money has left my account already...
This is the first time I haven't been able to clear my credit card on day one of the month, but I must clear it mid month before applying for a new loan.
Yep, my signature is going to change as I will have debt again. Needs must.
Also, needs must, the decluttering must continue.
Another 30 bottles and 6 carrier bags of rubble to the tip - gone!
A whole suit of armour - gone! Given to a friend.
A pair of boots - sold.
Other items now in progress...
Keep reading books!

Morning, today's posting comes from the hospital as DH is here (again) i think it will be a long one as there seem to be a long list of scans and tests, injections etc!!
@Liverpool_Anne (i think it was you) thank you fir the advice about the daff. That whole area needs looking at, the bit to the right didn't have any daff at all. And other areas in the garden don't seem to have done as well this year.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you so much for DDs star. She is pleased!
So the exciting news here is we found carpet moths in the lounge carpet, 😳😳so spent hours on tuesday cleaning and hoovering and moving furniture which doesn't get moved much. Our corner sofa is huge and very heavy and of course they like dark areas so there were under there. Still need to move the media unit. But the fish tank we can't move, so I don't know what to do about that!
I do have a grim photo of the evidence, but I won't share it as it's not nice, my poor carpet has suffered!!
If any one has any treatment ideas?? We going to hoover alot more and assist awater vinegar mix, but I suspect this might not be enough, we'll see!
Cleaning the lounge has made me clear up a few bits and a box that was under the dresser had been removed and mostly binned or put in CS bag. So that's a win!
While im sitting here i will do a bit of adigital declutter if photos and emails!

I have had to get rid of my bathroom scales as my husband noticed one of the feet was broken. That probably explains why my weight has been going up and down for months! I have ordered the old fashioned type of scales as a replacement. No idea if I am in for a shock when I find out my real weight, haha.
I had to get rid of my oil diffuser as it broke. We were occasionally getting hacked as it had bluetooth. It didn't really work before it broke anyway as this house has high ceilings.
I am off to the cinema and the hotel tonight. I was going to go to the beach, but it has been raining. It has very suddenly brightened up so we might do that now.🤩2025 GOALS

Just popped in to tell Liverpool Anne that Morrisons have olive trees in at £15. Think it was you that was talking about olive trees ages ago.:11
-
Flowerpot - you can buy traps that seem to work quite well. They have little sheets of sticky card that they stick to.9
-
Flowerpot, we got a spray from John Lewis, seemed to help. I spotted a tiny caterpillar crawling up the door frame, so that was how we learnt we had carpet moth. We we replaced the carpet we found it was good quality wool from JL (came with the house) We had to spray the underneath of the sofa in case they fancied that as dinner. Good luck in sorting the little bu@@ers12

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday stayed dry until late evening. Bolognaise sauce from scratch with spaghetti. Wudupa. DH fed the worms & emptied one tray of worm-cast from each wormery. I spent the day knitting & watching old episodes of Law & Order.
482 - 483 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
484 Kitchen detritus binned
Thursday has started bright & sunny again. Everyone was up & dressed by 11:00 - wonders will never cease 😅 I need to write a shopping list & DH will head out in a couple of hours. Suddenly went dark just before noon ☹️
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, excellent work decluttering the long & difficult self employment task 👏 I love your method of selling 😂 although I was wondering if DD1 gets commission 😉 At least you looked at your scarf collection before deciding to keep them all 🤣
Florenceem, relieved to hear that MrF has a doctor’s appointment quite soon. Fingers crossed for DGS 🤞 Like your DGD I would have been shocked at the contents of the donation bag 😳 there is absolutely no need for it 😠
Nice to see you tibawo 👋 Think how wonderful it will feel to have all the cardboard packaging gone 😉 DH’s sister & niece also love the meatballs in IK*a 😉
Brie, Nooooo - don’t do it 😉 not yet anyway 🙂 Just give yourself a couple more days to reminisce about your holiday 😊 Fingers crossed it isn’t too much of a shock 🤞
Nice to see you SuperLooperSaver 👋 Hopefully you are on the mend ❤️🩹 Excellent decluttering 👏 & congratulations on earning your first award - a Gold Star ⭐️ for reaching a quarter of the way to your target 🥳
Soontobeoap, hope DH recovers soon ❤️🩹
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏
QueenJess, you might not have been “thinking” about decluttering but you have still managed an excellent amount of decluttering as usual 👏
TC77, very impressed that you have replaced buying in charity shops with having experiences 👏🥳 Spring is definitely trying to arrive - our cherry tree has blossom - see pic
Liverpool_Anne, a lovely cheerleading post 😊 Are you sure you wouldn’t like to take on the role of head cheerleader 😉😉 Great decluttering 👏 Sorry to hear that you were unable to visit your friend but pleased to hear that the antibiotics are starting to work. Not surprised that you received messages from the recipient of the cowl & fingerless mitts - they are beautiful 😍
Excellent decluttering of physical items wishus 👏 especially the suit of armour 🥳 Although that does set the mind racing - my first thought being that you are Lady Brienne & have resigned from the Kings Guard 😉 Good luck with your cellar project 🍀 hopefully it won’t be too expensive 🤞
~FlowerPot~ sorry to hear that DH is at the hospital again 😔 Hopefully all the tests will finally result in a diagnosis AND a treatment plan 🙏 Carpet moths sounds more shocking than exciting 😳 Wishing you success in your efforts to dispense with them quickly & efficiently 🤞
Wednesday2000, hopefully the new scales will give you a pleasant surprise 😊Hope the weather stays fine & you manage to get to the beach 🤞
I have written a small shopping list & DH will be heading off soon. DSis headed off at 12:30 for her 3rd exercise & breathing session. I just hope that the staff don’t cause her any more injuries 🙏🙏 Looking very dark outside 😬

Just before DH left I threw out 2 rather nasty sausage rolls (DSis bought them & they were ood & looked uncooked 🤢) DH looked out of the kitchen window two minutes later - one sausage roll was being attacked by pigeons & the other had vanished 🤨 DH looked around & spotted this 🤣🤣🤣
I will post a better picture later 😉
