1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH & DSis got back at 16:45 & unpacked the car whilst I turned on the heating & made them a hot drink. They then spent the next 1.5 hours telling me all about their trip. It would seem that whilst the weather was dry & all of them were getting used to all the ins & outs of steering, locks etc that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves 😊 However when the rain started & everyone & everything started getting wet it all went downhill rapidly 😔 + one of the dogs was petrified 10 days out of 11 😢 There were a few bright spots but rain & cold took their toll & all 4 of the humans couldn’t wait to get home 😉 Now that G & E have decided against life on the water, G is turning her attention to looking at bungalows 😉 - to the relief of her children 😊 DH ordered burgers for dinner. Throughout the evening I was told lots of anecdotes about the trip & despite the shortcomings both DH & DSis agreed it was an experience 😉 + they both agreed that I probably would have walked from one end of the boat to the other & got off & booked into a hotel 🤣
DSis had a hot bath & was finally warm after 2 hours 😉
Just seen the time so will post & go to bed. Will do the cheerleading tomorrow 😉

It’s amazing how much you have got done Mrs SD and shows how much better you must be feeling now. It’s a shame that the boating experience ended as it did but much better that everyone finds out now, before investing in buying one. It was such a good idea for them to explore it with a holiday first. I hope that it is okay to give you a medal 🥇 in case you forget to award yourself one.I have not been anywhere near as productive as my fellow declutterati, however, tidying has been happening and I have decluttered some fabric. I have made a new pair of pyjama trousers with a piece of jersey cotton and also binned some unpleasant polyester fabric scraps. I bought the polyester fabric by mistake and used the rest as a toile but I couldn’t think of a use for the scraps. Various bits and pieces of pasta went into last night’s macaroni cheese, which has helped to clear the cupboard a little. Pruning down and simplifying is proving very satisfying. As is shopping with a basket rather than the usual trolley. All this moving talk is giving me itchy feet! I am vicariously enjoying hearing about house offers and new homes and keeping my fingers crossed for you all 🤞Enjoy your house hunting next week JackieO! I hope your next Margate trip is a bit better @Wednesday2000.17

I "think" I've cleared out a whole section of the cupboard downstairs now, although I will be checking when I put things back in there. I now need to slowly tackle the rest (includes shoes and coats) and then can spend time reorganising things a bit better.I had a longer post, but I lost it and need to get on with my work. morning all, glad the holidaymakers are home and enjoyed at least bits of the holiday. Love the idea you'd have walked straight through then departed
glad you enjoyed my misreading of your cobwebs
it made me laugh too
I've been doing stuff, one day I'll post progress rather than just commenting but such good progress being made by the declutterati, esp sending strength to those moving and those poorly

Morning everyone.
Sounds as though everyone has been busy.
I've 2 load tins, 6 children's Ikea plates, cups and bowls (I was encouraged by a very persuasive parent to buy them), plus a small saucepan and frying pan being rehomed tomorrow.

Hi all, slightly better day yesterday
I got another bag of garden waste into the bin so it was full to the top by the time I put it out
. I had a quick coffee over the fence with ln before heading out to my chiropodist appointment. I paid her my half of next years green waste bin cost which she hasn't been able to sort out yet as the website won't let her. I also paid OH for my share of the holiday in June when we are going on the hawk walk so I am out of debt out of danger as my Dad used to say
. The kitchen bin and recycling were emptied and 2 LDFPA. More washing was put through the machine but not yet dry. I got a 2g2g bag from Morris last night and as OH wanted some fish I did a small shop while I was there but didn't get home until 6.30 so by the time we had tea it was too late to phone my sister who has said to call early evening
. I will try to remember to call today
. OH decided the parcel for Germany shouldn't be posted yesterday as it was too soon so that is waiting by the front door still
.
It is very grey outside right now even though rain is not forecast and I have woken up with a sniffle so I am staying in until the sun comes out. Not sure what to tackle today, the choice is endless
so I will have another cuppa and ponder
@Mrs SD I didn't realise that the boaters had never been boating before. Thank goodness they tried it first before buying one. I think a lot of people who live on boats actually moor up for the winter months somewhere convenient to shops etc and only really travel around during the warmer weather, and north Wales in February isn't known for having the best weatherbut at least it is something they have tried and now know is not for them. I have been on a boating holiday, we went on the Thames around Oxford. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very relaxed and restful but it was a very small space to live in and did involve some planning along the journey to make sure we had enough fuel and water etc
.
Right off for another cuppa, hugs to anybody who would like one

Morning all, I have been tackling healthcare frogs today. Finally had my smear test. The cyst prevented it for over a year! And last year I was so busy with my dad's stuff I forgot. All done now 👍. So feeling braver I have booked a dental checkup for later this month and an eyetest for next month. Only thing outstanding is dental hygienist so will book that when I have my check up. 2 ins; a purple throw and a mug in the Stacey spring range from asd@.Will use both tonight when I watch the show 🤗. Going to try and start tackling the dcs clothes after lunch and will be back with more numbers later. Hope you all have a lovely afternoon.

I have filled 2 more bags for the charity shop. I found a duvet cover still in plastic cover not sure if to keep or not. So I am just having a bite to eat then I am going to have a go at my kitchen cupboards. I am sure I can sort out stuff to go. We have viewings of the houses booked in for Wednesday evening and Thursday evening and some on Saturday afternoon. I am cleaning as well as sorting.18

I read that Sort Your Life Out is on at 8 tonight. We were watching something online last night and we saw Big Brother was starting so we watched that. I didn't know who most of those "celebs" were!
It got to around 11.45 last night and I hadn't hit 10,000 steps yet so I got on my mini trampoline to make sure I hit the target. Today the costochondritis has flared up slightly so that might have to be donated to a charity shop.2025 GOALS
