Off shortly to declutter some watercolour paint and £12 for my weekly art class. I keep threatening to declutter the house of the worst results of such classes but people keep telling me to keep them or use the other side etc. I may have a bonfire at some point.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I have gone through every item if clothes I own, apart from what is in the wash - will tackle that at the end of the week:
52 hooded jumper
53 old t shirt to recycling
54 kids toy
55-61 ornamental pumpkins
62 sports top
63-65 underwear- binned
66-67 trousers and waistcoat
68-69 blazers - both have cropped sleeves and I hate cropped sleeves!
70-71 loungewear that has gone shapeless- recycling
72-73 2 in 1 jumpers- both very thin and virtually see through 😖
74 dungarees
75-76 shirt sleeve jumpers
77-80 4 dresses
81-82 wide leg trousers and waistcoat
83 kids dress up outfit
84 sleeveless jumper
85 dress put aside for my sister.
Unless otherwise stated everything will be going to the cs this afternoon/tomorrow morning. I was going to put stuff on v!nted but the thought of listing it all and having it sat around was too stressful so it is leaving and I never have to think about it again 🥳

Good news about the house JackieO exciting times ahead for you all.
I finally remembered to take a bag containing my old kettle and some electric cables to the recycling bin at John Lewis on Friday, I did get to the end of my road and turned back to collect from where it had been sitting in my dining room since christmasas i usually get there and remember
I visited a elderly friend yesterday to help her with some admin and though I could declutter a bag of books with her, unfortunately she then returned the favour so I came back with the same amount, at least it's MSE to recycle books. I've another bag which she won't read to drop off at my sister
last night I went though a pile of magazines whilst watching TV some had been gifted to me as i'm too tight careful with my money to buy and some free Waitrose ones and copied a couple of recipes before recycling them.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin20 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Washing is on the whirligig & whilst I was outside I schlepped my way to the bird food garden box & filled the bird feeders. I have used the last of the bird food, so after checking both the shed & garage (just in case) sent DH an email requesting he order bird food asap or more likely when he gets a wi-fi signal 😉 I have made myself a coffee & am now descaling the kettle & I am just sorting out a bag for the cs - mostly scarves plus a couple of odd bits - prior to returning upstairs. Ta-da I have finished upstairs - everywhere that could be vacuumed has been including the floor of the airing cupboard & the stairs 😉 I had to empty the vacuum 3 times 😔 It is still a lovely sunny day but the ground is still too wet for ME to do any gardening 😉 Just received a confirmation from DH that the bird food has been ordered 🙂 DH’s jacket now has its armour in & is hanging up 🙂 Dining room blind has been cleaned in situ, dusted then used wipes to wash all the slats. Window frame & sill have been washed & window cleaned - not on my list but very satisfying 😉 Hallway has been dusted
Kettle descaled (water put into downstairs loo to give it a helping hand 😉) & thoroughly rinsed, new filter added & cup of coffee made. Sitting down now watching a quiz show & knitting another scarf.
Just as I sat down the phone rang - my DH phoning from Teddington Services 😳 The boating trip has been cut short 😱 so the boat has been handed back & everyone is going/coming home 😱 It transpires that although everyone had fun the first few days when it was dry & a novelty, the last few days of rain & cold have taken their toll 😔 + no-one ever got really warm as there were vents at each end of the boat to make sure there were no issues with the gas cooker & condensation at night was a real issue 😬 G & E whose dream was to buy a boat & travel the canals have decided against this course of action 😔 It transpires they actually hated it (just putting on a brave face) - too much like hard work & not the relaxing & comfortable way of life they had envisaged 😢 + the dogs didn’t like life on a boat either 😉 DH & DSis will be home about 16:30 so my plans for the week are up in smoke ☹️ Anyway, a quick burst of activity means I have swept the hallway & kitchen & then vacuumed the whole of downstairs - only needed to empty the vacuum once 🥳 So a small bag of detritus binned & the rather shabby indoor door mat binned - nos. 338 & 339
QueenJess, sounds like you had a lovely time yesterday with the added bonus that you exhausted your children 🥳 Excellent decluttering 👏
daisy_1571, “Mrs sd, I never bother washing my cobwebs” - very droll - had me giggling like a schoolgirl 🤭
How exciting London_1 😊 Fingers crossed that DD can book viewings for the 2 houses you are interested in 🤞 Very handy that she is an EA so can be relied upon to keep things moving with the sale of both your houses 😊 Can I invite myself around the next time your son-in-law cooks Moroccan lamb 😉
Excellent decluttering wishus 👏 what a very busy Sunday 😊

Afternoon all. First decent day to hang washing out then I realised plasterers were removing old render from wall and there was dust everywhere. They have put first layer on wall but need to come back tomorrow to add more. Then I have to wait about 2 weeks before I can paint it. Took a flaked off piece and had fun with girls in paint shop matching the colour. Only large pots of masonry paint available and I bought a suitable brush - decluttered £68. They did take all their rubbish away.

Great news on house sale london1
More sorting gone on today. More rubbish in bin and I also cut grass 😱 I was so warm I didn't even have on a jumper or coat. I also put up some hooks in the shed and swept the floor.
So far I have my cooker hood and tomorrow I'll have a sink and 3 cupboards plus all the handles. Trying to pick a glass splashback is giving me a headache but I've time yet
Already started my jobs list for DD next weekend and she says she will do tea on Sunday 😀18 -
Decluttered of all things two tubes of mould remover to my next door neighbour, as she had some mould in her bathroom , also 8 cartons of chopped tomatoes as I know she uses a lot as like me she batch cooks, and I had a great bargain and snaffled them at a silly price of 10p a carton ages ago, and their dates are OK until August.
She was so pleased bless her at 5,30 she dropped me a text and said come out the back I have something for you. I went and she handed over the fence a container of delicious freshly cooked chilli plus half an avocado plus a small bag of Doritos .She's a dear little lass and was almost in tears when I told her I had accepted an offer She's been my neighbour for 19 years it was her grandmothers house before that and when she died Scarlett bought it with what is now her ex husband .
She told me that she had just got engaged to Phil her partner, and she had asked her two girls first to see what they thought and bless them they both wrote a letter to him saying 'please say yes to Mummy as she really likes you and we do too and you make us all so happy'
.She had arranged to go with him to Brighton for the weekend and because it was leap year she actually got down on one knee and proposed to him He was delighted and said Yes Please
Her two daughters are 10 & 12 and get on so well with him and he will be a great stepdad to them, he is a lovely chap and apparently she went out with him when she was 15 before she met her first husband, and said she always had a soft spot for him, but like all young lasses she changed boyfriends before settling for her ex husband who sadly had a roving eye. She is so happy with Phil and he is a lovely chap and would do anything for anyone so I'm really pleased for her and him and the girls .
He did say to me at Christmas he was going to ask her to marry him when he plucked up the courage but thought after her ex she might not want to take the plunge so I'm glad she asked him
It was such a nice thing for her children to do and she showed me what they had written and it was really lovely Their own Dad seems to let them down all the time where as he never does he's a really lovely bloke and I wish them all the best.
JackieO xx
PS we are off to the IoW next Monday so fingers crossed we find something suitable tess will sort out lots of viewings for us this week22 -
Hi folks, again I've decluttered some heat and some stress by going for an outdoor swim. It was so lovely, crisp and fresh. My bank account has been recluttered after the return of one of the swimming costumes. House went live today and we had a viewing booked within an hour which was exciting and strange all at the same time.
Hardly anything left here to get rid of! Decluttering some more wool, making an early start on another Xmas present scarf18 -
