That sounds amazing Mrs SD, i would love to see that, also glad salad sister is back with you both.
Ds is still not 100% but seems to be on the road to recovery. Half term has started so the fun starts here!
My decluttering advice would be to start with your bedrooms. If you can clear the clutter you sleep so much better, feel more relaxed when you see the room first thing and the mornings are less stressful.
Yay dnd so glad you have finally got the house! Sounds like your have an uphill struggle on your hands but it will be worth it! I have heard good things about 'sticky stuff remover' you can get it from places like b/q, scr€wfix etc. Not sure if it will work for those tiles so might be worth a research.2024 decluttering Campaign

@dND How wonderful that you and the cats are in your new home. It has taken a long time to get there. Have fun with the repairs but don't overdo it, just enjoy it for awhile so you know exactly where you want to have outlets and what colors you want for the rooms and all the other stuff that comes with being a new homeowner!19

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
It was a good job I was downstairs as the landline rang with an “announced call” that has to be picked up 😉 It was a district nurse who wanted to visit to check up on my DSis 🙂 I chatted to her for a few minutes & then booked her to visit at noon. DSis up & about just gone 10:00 so had plenty of time to have a bath etc. I did a quick tidy round & cleared the table so they could sit & chat. When nurse arrived DH & I made ourselves scarce - although we did hear lots of laughter 😆 The nurse was here about 20 minutes. DH & DSis went out in the car - DH drove to sm, they did some shopping & DSis drove back. No sign of the woodpecker today 😔 I spent the rest of the day knitting, nodding off & feeling rough 😔 DH cooked a creamy chicken, bacon & mushroom sauce with fresh tagliatelle 😋 & did most of the washing up. I dupa & did the last bits of wudupa.

Hi all, very slow day yesterday as I wasn't feeling brilliant, thought I was coming down with a cold but feel ok this morning so fingers crossed it was just a one day thing
. I just pootled around throwing various bits of carp in the bin / recycling but nothing left the house.
@Mrs SD brilliant surpriseglad you enjoyed it and glad the salad sister is continuing to improve
@dND great news about the house finally. My advice would be to get the wiring sorted as soon as you can, even before you start really unpacking, get extra sockets if in doubt where you want them. It is quite a messy job I found when I had mine done with lots of brick dust and then plaster getting everywhere. The less that is unpacked the less there is to keep cleaning
Well the sun is out this morning and although rain is forecast for later it feels quite warm so spring may be on the horizon. Off to get another cuppa and ponder what to do today, there is a footy match on tv later so I will try to get something done before then.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Take care everyone
