Tried to get rid of a few things today whilst the kids were playing downstairs. They had the cupboard open with the puzzles etc and I found a couple which they never use. I asked DD and she agreed to get rid of it (she's 2, so need to start training her up!). I got DS to go through his bag of bags (he uses them in play) as they don't fit in the bag anymore. They now fit nicely. He then, of his own accord, went through a drawer to fit in some stuff better and had a small pile of things to get rid of. I then made a Lego set for him that's been sat in a box for ages as he claimed the pieces are lost. Nope - all found and he's delighted he can play with the set again and it's made space to display more of his stuff on his shelves. As DS had already made space, I agreed to get something down from the loft for him. At the same time, I put the pile of loft things up there and filed them away. As I was up there I found a couple of things to get rid of before I became overwhelmed and came back down. I don't fancy having a day sorting it out (and don't have time to do that anyway) and so I try to just find at least one thing to bring down to use/get rid of every time I'm up there.Everything is always immediately listed on Buy Nothing, added to recycling or to the tip pile/charity box. When the latter get full up, I make DH go to the tip, but I sort out the charity stuff nicely and make DH take it.Physical:
2 - wrist bands (recycling)
1 - kitchen cupboard overstock used up
1 - kids puzzle (Buy Nothing)
1 - DD board (donated to nursery)
2 - DD books (charity box)
16 - DS packaging (recycled)
1 - broken box (binned)
1 - kids puzzle (charity box)
29 - kids toys (Buy Nothing)New total = 3,126Successful day decluttering there I feel. Progress is definitely slow though and not got back to the tidying, although I think the amount I am behind from a number perspective probably outweighs the actual amount of tidying that needs to be done at the moment. Still got bits in every room to put away though. Difficult to know whether I am winning or not at times and it's DD's birthday next month, so I'm sure we'll acquire more stuff2025 decluttering: 3,750🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Very belated happy birthdays, get well wishes and fingers crossed for easy moves days….🥰
No actual decluttering this week apart from normal household rubbish BUT 2 very large chunks of 2 ginormous frogs done!!!!!!!Pension - still a minefield but getting a tiny bit easier.
PIP - an awful lot to put in and think about. I spent 3 days on it so far (in sections) just have to read through it all again, tweak it and send off with additional paperwork. From what people have said I will be assessed, then probably rejected so will have to apply again but I am prepared for that.
I am being nagged by dog2 for their food so will catch up later!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

I wore a pair of ankle boots yesterday and decided they make my feet ache too much so they went in the ongoing chazzer bag. I had finished a few paperbacks & sorted a few other books out, along with a duplicated travel hairdryer (no idea how I ended up with 2!) and an unused wax melt thingy.
I've also sold a few things on Vinted, so they've left too. While tidying & sorting in the spare room, I found some things to be listed on Ebay & some for my DiL.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

So charity shop and tip runs done. Stitches decluttered and dentist v pleased as has healed well. Very relieved about that, next appointment in 6 months time to check bone growth.
Also decluttered today

Boot rack
Pair of bookends

Also decluttered some hair as have been to the hairdressers. Painted over some damp stains from historical slate slippage, roof all mended but need to redecorate the room. Front door painted a smart gloss black to boost kerb appeal when house goes up for sale in a fortnight18 -
been ouside digging up the box hedge again
. spent over 5 hours outside and a couple of those were burning it all. there was so much! we probably have a third to go of the boundary hedge and then there are 3 other areas to remove it. it is an enormous job and im very gratefull to DS2 for his assistance today and DH cooked tea so that was lovely. im now sat on the sofa and not moving as everything is hurting
Trying do decide if i should continue tomorrow but, i think i should probably focus on my job list and do stuff around the house.
i hadn't realised just how pretty the sky was. You can just make out the fire bin at the bottom! And I've also been reclaiming the path that grows over so quickly!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Hi, sorry you didn't get to move dND, what a pain, Fingers crossed for next week.
I hope the salad sister has been able to come home today.
Nothing of great significance out. It will just be an odd thing as I come across it, but I do like to keep a list to keep me on my toes.
I have bought myself a nightdress,2 sizes smaller than the one I bought last summer which went to the chazzer a while ago. I haven't always been able to wash , dry and wear the only one I have so one from Bury market has come home with me. My aim is to buy new to me this year but I don't go in charity shops much as we don't need owt and there are never night clothes in my size that I would actually want to wear.
Mr V and I have been asked to be patients for first aiders including st johns and mountain rescue. If I have to hike up Kinder Scout to be rescued it would be a real rescue! It is many years since I have been up there, Glad I have it as a memory though.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday has been a damp day - mostly drizzle. Wrote DH a smallish shopping list. Rained to & from the sm so DH was quite damp when he got back. I have spent the afternoon going through my iNotes & have reduced the numbers by 33% & the contents of the remaining notes by about 20%.
Now to the news on DSis which is not as good as we were hoping 😢 She & DH have been texting back & forth since 09:00. She didn’t get much sleep as she woke up at 05:30 with a headache & feeling dehydrated. She then resisted the offer of some codeine - for some reason she thinks she might get addicted. DH finally managed to reassure her, so codeine taken & headache gone soon after but made her feel rather nauseous. More worryingly the doctors cannot understand why her sats aren’t improving as well as they should, so she is having a lung scan. DH headed off to the hospital about 17:30 with a flask of tea & a small flask of milk & ready to chat to the doctors & offer reassurance to DSis. DH phoned shortly after he left to say that there were problems with the buses due to heavy traffic so is having to use DLR & overground. Now it is the waiting & wondering until DH gets in touch 😟 DH eventually phoned 20:11. All in all the news was pretty good - the lung scan was clear - no clots (the blood thinners are working), hopefully the antibiotics are finally kicking in & now that DSis is fully hydrated & has no headache she was feeling a lot perkier. The doctors were going to give her a nebuliser. One very bright spot is that DH took a 1.8l flask with tea & a 600ml flask of milk & it was like giving her a million £ 🥳 No chance of her becoming dehydrated again 🤞When DH left DSis she was the happiest he had seen her since she went into hospital 😊 the Power of Tea 🥳 DH got home just after 21:00 & we had chilli with rice, a dollop of sour cream & tortilla chips. It was a bit lacklustre but filling. Wudupa.

Florafauna, more excellent decluttering 👏 and well done on getting your house ‘sale ready’, a medal 🏅 is on its way 😊
~FlowerPot~ excellent work by both you & DS2 yet again tackling the box hedge 👏 Five hours work has earned you each a medal 🏅🏅 Please now take some time away from such heavy duty physical work 🙏 You & DS2 should both pop into the TLC Carriage & use the massage chairs 😊
Some great ‘pottering’ GrannyKate especially the 1000 names deleted from the family history tree 👏
vulpix, sadly it seems that Salad Sister (love that name) will be in hospital for a little while longer 😔 The doctors are determined to get her better so that there is no relapse 😊 Do you get a cuppa & biscuits for being patients for first aiders 😉
All caught up 🙂 Just having a lemsip as I have a bit of a cold which is mainly a runny nose & the odd explosive sneeze 🤧 Sleep tight everyone 😴 & cwtches all round for those who need or even want one or several 🤗
