Started off today with two loads of laundry, done now. Alternating spurts of computer genealogy with coming on MSE. Have some phone calls to make but roommate Di has to be up when I make the calls as they are for her.
@Brie - definitely whole body better. Had to clean up rat our feral cat left - bottom half only. Male members of household refused to clean it up - too squeamish. I sometimes use baking soda with a little water for cleaning off greasy things in the kitchen. A little dish detergent in the mix helps too.
@Mrs. S_D - these aren't exactly storage sheds. They are two 20ft by 20ft garages for two cars each! Stuff from current roommates and my books and magazines moved out there so roommates could move in! Really a week's worth just to get everything out - another week to sort and take back in for each space.
For those sorting their family history - easiest filing is to make a copy of your pedigree chart and then make a folder for each couple on there and file everything on the couple and their children (except direct-line ancestor) in there. I put everything from when they first start living together in there, stuff on their childhood is in their parents' folder. It doesn't take up as much space that way. I do have a folder on the surname for stuff I can't connect yet. But all of my Swedish lines only take up two file boxes (1/4th of family history). Rest is in 6 boxes.
Today is trash day - bins are almost full already and one is overflowing - roommates upstairs did some cleaning. Off to make sure rest get out. Just hit 27C outside and still going up. In January! Confused weather.

Good evening. Just a quick post. Lots of things that were sorted through the week has gone to the right places. Not a great deal done today. The conditioner that we've started getting is way too hard to get out and the children have to open another even though its still half full so I've bought a pump bottle and spent a while decanting all the part bottles in to it. Still a couple left but bath looks better.
I listed the books on my Facebook and on a free site and a mum from dance wants some of them (she's a teacher) she did offer payment but I was a bit cheeky and asked her to sign our passports instead, she did DD3s in the summer. She said of course. The books will leave with DD2 for dance tomorrow.

I can relate to the low blood pressure issue, although in my case i broke my two front teeth kissing the radiator when I passed out getting out of bed one morning.I nearly fell over earlier as I think I have got vertigo back from being lowered down in the dentist chair the other day! I nearly smashed into the shower cubicle when I bent my head forwards.

Hopefully it won't last long Wednesday. The dentist chair always gives me issues I have to sit awhile before standing, there is a note which flashes up on the screen to warn the dentist I have low blood pressure issues.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin18

sorry to read about so many poorlies and injuries,
A big thank you to all this gang of fellow travellers our decluttering journey . Reading and sharing people's journeys really helps me. Today a long day at work but did clear the small bureau in the hall - wombled for DD1 who then never too it - think I've had it for 3 years, quite cute but doesn't quite work. Have posted hoping to pass on, but realise have little pots and piles of lots of small stuff, which takes time to go through and I feel I have to rehome....and realise things don't really have a home
Have to find a van to hire for a week on Sunday and Dniece's b/f has offered to drive it. I will then have a desk and can sort out some things - and will have lots of other things... debating large or v large van ?!
Do any charities still take stamps?
Dodgy hairbands and broken clips out, and sent DD2 photo of a gift card, apparently has been used so out, paid tax owing, I'm sure some other small things but can't recall. Have decided some of the bits and pieces posted on the freesite will just have to go to landfill.... we will see
Behind with washing up and general stuff so setting tomorrow evenings aside. I thought it would be easier when DDs not around but now I have no-one but myself to blame. Hey ho.
Night all,
Adding 4 so 152, Still have to do recruitment stuff..... have most fridays off after this week until the end of March, so a mix of sorting stuff out and hopefully some gallivanting

Hello my lovely declutterarti!I’m still feeling rubbish and have the added bonus of a chest infection, so the decluttering has been limited but I’ve tried to read along every day, so lots of love to those who need it.
DS1 had a birthday and we had his choice of takeaway for dinner, he’s having a rock climbing party (probably his last one as he’ll be at secondary school next year) but it’s not for another two weeks, as I wasn’t on the ball enough to book it in time 🤦♀️
I managed to sort out DS2’s wardrobe yesterday, it’s long overdue, I found a pair of 2-3 pants, he’s 6 in a fortnight! I’ve listed a large bag on our local freebies site and will wait for a week or so to see if anyone wants it, otherwise it’s off to the charity shop.
I also managed to drop off a bag of fabric recycling that has been in the car for a couple of weeks and I just keep forgetting about it. Some puzzles and glasses (1 bags worth) were finally picked up from the freebies site, after multiple non collections, so I relisted it and gave it to someone else.
I also found out (I may be late to the party!) that Oxfam will send you bags and you can put donations in them and send them back via Yodel. This will be really helpful to me when I’m not feeling so great and I wondered if it would help anyone else?
The British Heart Foundation have a similar scheme with Collect+ instead of Yodel.

@TC77 yes charities still collect stamps, I send mine to Kicks Count but I know that the RNIB and Age UK also definitely still take them.
Love to you all xxx

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Dinner for DH & DSis was beef in gravy (from the freezer) + bubble & squeak using up los (from fridge) & a portion of mash (from the freezer). I had a portion of cheesy pasta also from the freezer. Wudupa.

That really was scary wishus 😧 Why is that when something serious happens the men in our lives minimise the situation & when they have a bit of a cold it is maximised to the nth degree 😔
oceanspirit, great work 👏 Just hope I can follow your example tomorrow when DH & DSis are out 🤞
Good luck with the Family History boxes, London_1 🍀 Fascinating story 😉 but as you say all sorts of things can come up when delving into the past 😉 & at least you found a rather lovely descendant 🙂 That is excellent decluttering of books 👏 & hopefully you will have the same success with your clothing & shoes/slippers 🤞You are doing so well that I am awarding you your 2nd Gold Star ⭐️ Keeping everything crossed that the people showing an interest in DD’s house will come through with an asking price offer 🤞 19 addresses 😯 I can only work out from age 4 (no one left to ask) & reached just 9 including my current address 😉
Well done wishus 👏
Excellent decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 23% to your target in less than 8% of the year 🥳
Good luck with the carousel of furniture Siebrie 🍀
Muddy_Walker, just wondering if ‘TB’ has any staff left 😈 It is such a pleasure to hear how much happier you are with your new team 😊
Brie, not sure “horrid” is a strong enough word to describe her 😡 I can never quite get my head around how this type of person keeps their job 🤨
Liverpool_Anne, well done on standing firm over the washing up 👏 Although I see that OH couldn’t quite remember how to dry up & put away 😉 Some great cheerleading 😊 & I especially like your idea for ~FlowerPot~ 😉 Hope you got lots done whilst DH was out 🤞
Pennypincin, how awful 😣 It make you wonder how companies stay in business with managers like that 🤨 Great decluttering 👏 Hopefully now that you have noticed that you are bringing in too many items, you will find it slightly easier to curb your magpie tendencies 🤞😉 Good luck with your mission to educate family/friends to the type/s of presents you would love to receive 🍀
QueenJess, I think you are right “bullies masking their own incompetence” Such a sad state of affairs & also so damaging to the individuals being bullied 😔 Also a sign that top management either have no clue or don’t care that the staff keeping their companies in business are being bullied 😔
Concentration has completely gone to pot 😔 So will post this & try again tomorrow 😉
