Monday is a slightly cloudier day so the sun is struggling to break through. DH has had a reply from someone about the garage door requesting a picture of the spring & the model number label of the door - which has now been sent 🙂 Hopefully this means that the door will be fixed this week 🤞
florianatwobob, several years ago we looked into getting our kitchen done with the same company but unfortunately we would have had to organise disposal of the old kitchen as it didn’t come as part of the work 🤔 very weird 😔
Moorviews, pleased to hear that you managed to sleep through the night 🙂 A lovely chatty post 😊 The cheerleading squad is getting bigger & bigger by the day 😉 Thank you for the gold star ⭐️ & the compliment re the leeks 😊
Excellent news 2Scratters 👏 You & your DB have worked hard clearing your parents house 😊 Hopefully the last few bits will soon be done 🤞Your mention of snowdrops has reminded me that we have three tiny flowers peeking out in a large pot in the garden 😀
Great decluttering Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 Kitchen drawers & cupboards seem to be a theme so far this year 😉 Well done on getting your laundry line dried 😊
GrannyKate, “random children everywhere” sounds like the start of a musical 😅 Excellent work culling the digital Family History files - medal🏅 on its way
Re your comment “Had to go round house stealing money from various places (owe DGS4's money box £7) to pay window cleaner……..” you might find the “Going Cash” thread interesting 🤨
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊 The cheerleading squad is growing 🙂
flamingo747, good luck with your painting project 🍀 Hopefully the car repair won’t be too expensive & will be done quickly 🤞
dND, I have everything crossed that the mention of ‘exchange and completion’ becomes a reality this time 🤞🤞 I take it this means that the issue with the fence has been resolved? Re the 2nd part of your post, thank you for sharing your experience of decluttering whilst feeling overwhelmed 👏 Thank you for the reminder that sometimes the only way to work through decluttering is methodically 😊 - a medal 🏅 is on its way.
Lovely post QueenJess 😊 How exciting a Treasure Hunt around the house - no wonder you are working so hard on tidying. I am sorry to hear that you are still feeling overwhelmed 😔 although hopefully your new plan will work wonders & help you to feel more in charge 🤞 Well done on reminding yourself that you are a ‘successful declutterer’ as evidenced by the ease with which the living room can be restored to tidiness in only a few minutes 🥳
I am being a bit slow with the cheerleading today, so I will post this & then head out to the bank - before the tadpole of banking cheques & coins becomes a frog 😉

I had planned to declutter the garden today but the weather put paid to that. I decided to tackle a frog (is that the term?) that is the Pile for Vinted. I've listed loads. Gone through my wardrobe and got a big bag for charity and another big pile for Vinted. But I can see the floor now, which is something. Binned a few bits as well.19

Feeling very stressed this week with DS's party to prep for, too much stuff around the house, tidying to do, lots of work to get done in 2.5 days and my new fast internet connection being done on Friday. Need to just get my head down and work through it all really.Lots more indoor plant sorting today and I think it is now done bar sorting out some storage to put what I have in the cupboard under the sink. I even took a load of plastic pots back to the garden centre to be recycled in my lunch hour.Next up is probably medical supplies and the cleaning cupboard. Trying to declutter one thing for every two tidied at the moment as I need to do a fair amount of both before the weekend. Mainly decluttered though and got a ton of tidying to catch up on.Digital:New total = 2,479

I am plodding on. Up to 173 things I have counted, including DD's outgrown stuff gifted and a coat sold. I have decluttered my bead supply today and earmarked lots to donate to the charity shop, which will push me over 2024 items
, but I am only counting them as one lot! I have also sent some craft supplies to a friend.
Mini challenge for myself this week is to list a couple more things for sale. We have a weekend away booked next month, hotel is paid for, but I want to stash some ££ for meals and spends, so it doesn't come out of the regular budget!
Keep going everyone, you're doing great!21 -
I feel like I have done something but can't remember what so........
Another bag taken to the charity shop, random things that have been put in a box as I've opened cupboards, kids dish set, mirror, a belt, teddy bear, cheese board, magazine holder, shoes plus other bits. And then a bag of rags also taken to the other charity shop
Few jars decluttered from top shelf of fridge, fish sauce BB date 2022, not sure if it was ok and that was the normal smell
Finished the special tea bags we got at Christmas, so wont be finding them in 3 years time OOD
Also scanned 99 CD's to go to the music bird place but the courier didn't pick them up last week, so I'm trying again this week
And the wind has helped us declutter a fence panel, so that to sort out soon
Hugs to everyone xMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

Decluttered some money last night paying for a venue for daughters 21st. DD2 decided to tell me this afternoon there was a trip this week for college but had partly forgot (she was told verbally which is not great with her ADHD) and knew we aren’t flushed for cash at moment so hadn’t wanted to broach the subject so left it until today to tell me. Sometimes I could just kill her!
Went to ikea for some inserts on Saturday for Kallax so can start to put things in a ‘rightful home’ for the eldest - always think a tidy organised bedroom helps you sleep.
Decanted my sewing stuff into a kallax box - it was in an ali baba type basket which i can now get rid of but my brain keeps telling me it’s a useful item so going to have to put my big girls knickers on to sort!
Glad it’s not just me having work issues. Ofsted is looming for one of my clients. I’ve repeatedly told them that my self employed contract states that how i do my work hours is as my discretion. Now they’ve discovered some paperwork that was not done so telling me i need to do it urgently (this is an oversight on their side from two years ago) i’m not meaning to be awkward but have other commitments and responsibilities too yet they expect me to drop everything for them. So can’t wait for this contract to end!
Anyway to end on a positive note …. i am now a great Auntie. So looking forward to lots of cuddles!Don’t put it down - put it away!
