Hi all, well I did no decluttering yesterday at all
. When I got home from the footy the kitchen was destroyed, every pan had been used, the sink and worktop were full of all kinds and even though 3 different meals had been made there was nothing I could eat as it was all meat based so I had a vegan pie and jacket which could be done in the microwave. Initially I was furious but I decided to stay calm and while my food was cooking I put away the bits I left on the drained and just asked OH what had been cooked and said I had cleared the drainer. OH then said there was a lot of washing up. Yes I said and stayed firmly on the couch
. It got done as I was heading to bed and this morning it is all at least washed up
@TheDoolallyDilly as someone else suggested is there not a nearer chemist your prescription could go to? I use my very local pharmacy that I can walk to and was able to tell my GP where I wanted my prescription to be sent.
@Madbat60, sorry to hear about your DO and hoping the recovery is well on the way. It is exhausting visiting hospitals, it seems to take over your life and you end up as worn out as the patient so please take care of yourself, you will need lots of energy in the next few months. Good luck with the pip. Hugs
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer I don't think I could live inland now. I've lived near the sea or big tidal rivers for most of my life. I do like visiting places inland but I am always drawn to the sea. Maybe you can find a way to visit on a regular basis for a walk on the beach
@dND it must be quite frustrating waiting for the house to be sorted but at least you have had time to formulate a plan that sounds doable. I am keeping everthing crossed that you don't have to wait much longer
@QueenJess that sounds like a good plan. As for the loft you can deal with that at some point in the future and at least the party people won't see it
@Vulpix have a great trip
@~FlowerPot~ that is a lot of sorting out, well done, I have a conservatory that looks very similar to your lean to. I really want it to be a relaxing space I can sit in and read or listen to the radio but at the moment it's just full of stuff. It's on the list
. As for the munchkins not helping I am of the firm opinion that not being much use is a ploy to avoid being asked but well done to ds2 for helping. Maybe a special reward just for him will motivate the other 2 to be more helpful
@Muddy_Walker thanks for the book recommendationsI like a good mystery and I will investigate Tim Sullivan
. I have read a few of the cozy mysteries and find they are good for when I am tired but need a distraction
I tend to trawl the free kindle books and if I find an author I like I will track down other books by them. The kindle is good as it doesn't take up shelf space
but I still have piles of books to be sorted
@Brambling good luck with the pension paperwork. It can be quite complicated and stressful, hugs
@Dfw38 I can relate to OH having a rant but not helping. It makes me tune it out now rather than argue back or even sort stuff
, not at all helpful, hugs, hope you find some time to do nice things over half term
@wishus it might be worth getting him checked out by the doc. I had something similar happen but split my head open on an iron railing on the way down. Turned out to be a low blood pressure problem, hugs
OH has left the building, the fridge has been emptied of 6 portions of meals and a few other things have gone as well
. Today I am popping to the sm for bits and will go via the too
.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Hopefully I will get a few things done today to make up for doing nowt yesterday
Take care everyone

I agree with you Brie, I don't get it either.
I was bullied out of work just over 10 years ago and it wasn't nice.
I'd had the manager be really mean to me, I'd had one or two other managers who were almost equally bad, one day said manager told me I'd never see myself on the rota again, when I popped in to check the rota after time off sick.
Then when I had a meeting with the manager, I'd another manager present who wasn't particularly nice either there too and was told that I could go to another shop to work in or hand my notice in and I didn't have to work my notice.Decluttering campaign 2023

I've managed to take 2 largish bags of assorted items to the charity shop.
I've plenty of tidying up and sorting out to do and I'm bound to find more to take to the charity shop.
I'm really going to have to crack down on what I'm buying/bringing home, and see if I can encourage people to buy better gifts for me as I'm donating presents to the charity shops.Decluttering campaign 2023

When I was in a big corporation in a client facing role, we had lots of "soft skills" type training and it was great. Once I went into general industry there is absolutely nothing at all.I've also been bullied and badly treated in a few roles in the past. I'm quite resilient, but the longer it goes on, the more depressing it gets. I seem to remember once crying on the way into work as I so dreaded going in, which is very unlike me.In my experience, bullies do so because they are masking their own incompetence. However, this is silly and very short sighted of them. They could turn themselves into someone people want to work for whilst their employees do their jobs well so they don't need to do much at all. The other way makes for a horrible atmosphere and everyone leaves anyway, making it stressful for the bully. The only way to usually deal with it is to distance yourself from them. Last time it happened to me, I moved roles to get another manager instead (who also turned out to be irritating, although slightly less irritating than the one before). Tone at the top has a lot to answer for as well with regards to how middle management behave. They often do as they see others do.2025 decluttering: 5,121 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟🌟2025 use up challenge: 363🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Mini freezer challenge -1/-20Big kitchen declutter challenge 121/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50017

I can relate to the low blood pressure issue, although in my case i broke my two front teeth kissing the radiator when I passed out getting out of bed one morning. 4 hours in A & E on a Sunday morning when they are concerned why and I'm vain enough to be worried about my teeth!

My husband spent the weekend at his sister's, because she is going to their home country for a month this Tuesday, and they needed to hash out some plans for his Mum (her stepmum) who had a stroke 2 years ago and needs fulltime care. We are currently paying for a maid for one of his brothers' household, so that his wife can look after Mum, but that's not really working anymore. It's annoying, because there are 2 nurses living in the house there, and my sister in law works in a care home, but none of them seems to realise that the solutions for the patients could be useful and available for Mum. It took some prodding from me (who does not work in health care) for sis-in-law to check with the staff for solutions and some training in changing diapers and katheters, and some basic muscle training exercises for immobile Mum.Husband brought home a large bag with my Father's clothes, that my Mum had got round to clearing out. Dad passed away in May, and Mum is a little diesel engine decluttering and taking on admin tasks. We will send the clothes on to husband's relatives in Africa. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5917

A senior manager once told me off (not in a bad way) when my manager went on long term sick she realised how he was effecting me when as she put it 'she saw how happier i was and realised how unhappy i had become under his management' she apologised for not picking it up herself before hand. He had 7 months off with stress and blamed her!
I was never one to go over someones head to complain which was my fault as soon as she knew she fixed it. Two of us had our yearly reviews and had 2 hours where he nit picked every thing he though we had done wrong down to 'on this date and this spreadsheet you should have made the column wider or changed the column header colour' he made both of us cry but not to his face and then called us both the next day and said 'oh forgot to give you your ratings' and gave us both good ratings
