Thanks for that. Pretty much the same as just dried mushrooms then!3

@leftatthetrafficlights, I was very adventurous yesterday and went in without my booties! Discovered its not quite warm enough to do that yet though.
Going out doe Sunday lunch andd then, yes, having a swim at 3.Then off to drop some skincare products off at a friend's where I'll have a brew and a chat. Usual Sunday night here, then work tomorrow.
Have a good rest of day everyone x3 -
@joedenise - yep, the powder is just dried mushrooms blitzed to a powder. The advantage of the powder over the straight dried mushrooms is that there's no need to rehydrate, there are no lumps (important when you have a grandbaby who can be texture intolerant), it takes up less room as it's easier to store and you can get a much more intense flavour without adding bulk 😁
@Florafauna - I hope you had a lovely swim and I really hope you had a better day at work today 🤞
The house is clean and sorted again now 🙌 It's surprising the amount of chaos one child can make! 😂 I have spent this afternoon just chilling and thinking that I should really be doing stuff in the garden but one of my neighbours is having roof work done and another is doing some random building work in their back garden so I'd be overlooked and I don't like that - I like to feel solitude when I'm out there! It’s not a problem as there's nothing massively pressing to do so it can wait for now.
I'm doing an asana practice shortly then having a chamomile tea, dinner is pretty much sorted- it's leftovers mainly and I've put the remaining tofu in to marinade so it will be an interesting mishmash!
Right, off to get some stretching done - have a lovely slow day! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

Holiday starts tomorrow. Well officially. But OH is already stomping about the house shouting "HOLIDAY!!!" Have a lovely time on holiday Brie.
I finally finished my non-fiction book today. It took quite a few days to read as it was so detailed. I did reserve a few more books at the library.
I made a delicious curried parsnip soup today and have leftovers for tomorrow.
I booked cinema tickets and a restaurant for later this week in London, but I don't have much else planned until April.7 -
@Brie - have a fabulous time on holiday!! 🥳🙌 My dh would be doing exactly the same 😂😂😂
@Wednesday2000 - the soup sounds nice 😁 I hope you enjoy your film and meal in London!
My afternoon was lovely, asana practice was easier today which was encouraging and I did another meditation session which was lovely 😁 dinner tonight was the remaining bloomed wild rice and pomegranate and the last of the beetroot and apple salad served with a home grown mizuna and rocket salad and home made tofu marinated in a mirin, brown and teriyaki sauce - it was lovely and used up lots of the bits and pieces from the fridge 😁

@Brie I love the image of your excited stomping husband and hope you have a great holiday.
Work felt blah and difficult but I'm trying to be stoic and hope that things will improve.
Nipped out for a swim and the water was a tropical 18 degrees, it was lovely. I could hear birdsong as I swam and two ducks have started swiming about in the pool. My long sleeve neoprene swimsuit also makes a difference warmth wise.
Sleep well everyone7 -

It’s nice that the weather is finally feeling milder. We are now lighting the fire in the evening rather than during the day. I seem to have a bit of a bug at the moment so am doing the wrong kind of slow. Hopefully it will be on its way soon and I can enjoy the more intentional things. Feeling nauseous is making it difficult to think about food so I have shopped for a simple menu plan in one of my books- Dr Ruby’s 321. I have been using up everything in the fridge recently so had plenty of room to put things away. I am making life easier for myself by using tinned beans and lentils, although I normally cook up batches from dried in the pressure cooker. They are all one pan meals, easy to put together and shove into the stove.
I have got back into the habit of making a traybake cake for the weekend and beyond depending on who is around at the time. It feels like a real treat to have a slice with a cup of tea and is one of those lovely slow down moments. I met friends for lunch last week and we had a good catch up. I have also managed some odd jobs of mending and sewing. Nothing really creative though, which I am missing. There have been some upsets and things that I have had to deal with so I am hoping to chill out today, eat lots of fruit and see if I can get rid of this bug.@Brie - enjoy your holidays! I always found that being away on holiday was the only time I got to doodle with my paints.
@Valli - welcome 😊
@Florafauna - glad your new swimsuit is working out well
@Wednesday2000 - good to hear that you are feeling better now and have some nice plans.@leftatthetrafficlights - I am going to have the same problem with next door replacing their roof this summer. It’s a big roof and I am dreading all that hammering and banging around. Not to mention how much it will make our dog bark and all the shouting that roofers seem to have to do between one another. Your meals always look and sound delicious. Do you happen to have a link you would recommend for making tofu? I have the method in a Madhur Jaffrey book but have never tried making it. I do really like tofu but have trouble finding it unless I head off to a bigger town.3 -
thanks for the welcome Moorviews
