TNC Parking services

  • There isn't a time limit in a complaint.  And no, there isn't a template complaint on this forum. Appeals yes, complaints NO.  That would be awful.  Think how toothless a template complaint would be (don't use ChatGPT either - terrible strangled 'English').

I wasn't talking about an appeal and nor was I telling you to approach TNC.  So the 28 days is irrelevant.  Complaints are individual per case.
This is what I have drafted so far to send over to CPS:

    “Hi,

As registered keeper of [reg no], I would like to form a complaint against TNC Parking Services as they have issued me with a Parking Charge Notice that states that I have no right to appeal.

The fact that this notice fails to set out any provision to be able to allow the registered keeper to appeal is abysmal, and yourselves (CPS Midlands) and TNS should not be conspiring to deny this right.”

Is there anything else that I should possibly add to close this out?

I’ll also tweak this before sending over to BPA (apologies, I did not mean TNC previously).

    No complaint starts "Hi".

And your complaint is not against TNC.  It's against the parking firm for letting their agent send a misleading letter.  Use my words from my earlier reply.

The letter came from TNC though?

    Yes, I know.

But the complaint will move on to the BPA and it needs to be against the parking firm, not their agent.

Complaint has been sent to both CPS and BPA.

What sort of resolution - if there is to be one - should I look to expect?

Maybe a POPLA code. Maybe cancellation.

  • *update*

Although a complaint was sent on the 19th, a letter has been brought to my attention from the 14th.

Not to go into too much detail but I’m temporarily not living at the address the letters are being sent to - hence only having this letter brought to my attention now (take a look below).

As far as I’m aware, nothing changes in regard to not responding to this and waiting out for a response to my complaint(?)

    Wow .....

'Failure to ACT TODAY ......... will result in TNC seeking approval from our client for passing your account for further action'.

Scary or what, even if you can understand the rubbish!  Ignore it.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thoughts? Think they’ve given it up? Or should I not speak too soon?

You are waiting for the BPA to investigate your complaint, aren't you? Takes weeks.
