    Good morning.

Very icy start to the day here in my little Welsh Valley, dog has yet to be walk, waiting for the sun to come up, hopefully will melt the ice.

Today will be  a spend day, need milk, bread and some veg, for meals next week and I have a parcel to drop off to the parcel shop.

    2026 pot looks like:
    Interest - £212.72.
Cash Back app etc - £26.12.

When we are back from shopping will take my eBay shop off holiday mode and do some listings, picked up some great vintage items before Christmas and a few free things.

Change of plan, Mr D has been out with the dog and our road is like a skating ring so we will not be going to do grocery shopping today, car is staying put.

We will mange with what we have, fingers crossed for better conditions tomorrow.

    So an unsuspected NSD. 3/15.

We woke up this morning to a few inches of snow! First time the dog has seen snow and he really did not know what to make of it, was very funny watching him tippy toe up the garden. Dog has now been walked and we are back in the warm, nearly fell as I slip on some ice that was under the snow, thankfully we both  made it home in one piece.

NSD 4/15 as we are not going back out, grocery shopping can wait. Have a eBay parcel to pack, will drop to the corner shop tomorrow just before the Royal Mail collection. Only listed this item yesterday afternoon and it sold within a few hours. Had been sitting waiting to be listed for a few weeks.

Back to work tomorrow, glad in a way as I would like the work structure back in my day, this holiday I feel as gone on for ever.

    Money front nothing to report.

Today I will be washing a bag full of vintage crockery, that I pick up very cheaply and photographing ready to list next week.

    Good morning.

January is flying by. I have been busy decluttering the house, items are going out, no items have come into the house since Christmas day, which I am very pleased about.

I have managed 15 no spend days so far this month, two spend days were grocery shopping and one was breakfast with my work friend, as I work from home quite a lot and only speak to people online, it was lovely to have a proper face to face conversation, £9.00 well spent.

I have also been moving money around to make it work harder, closed a few accounts that were not needed. Also been setting up a file of important documents, so everything is in one place,  for when the time comes, just being practical, don't want Mr D or my DS in a position I have hear about recently, that will take some time to sort out. I will keep this file update regularly as information changes.

Managed to get some yellow sticker meat bargains yesterday, that included mince beef, I was very excited, kitchen freezer is now full. nearly all the Christmas goodies are gone apart from a small Christmas pudding, some chocolates and cheese.

Rest of today will be spend catching up on house bits and watching Call the midwife later this afternoon.

    Good morning,

Dry at the moment and no high winds thankfully, much more pleasant dog walk than yesterday. Mr D has gone out for a bike ride as it was imposable yesterday.

Did a small food shop yesterday, got some reduced salmon, which has been portioned up and now in the freezer and another packet of minced beef also in the freezer. Still over a hundred pounds left in the food budget for January, which is excellent.

Had 20 NSD's so far this month which I am very pleased about, have only bought petrol, small amount of groceries and I have had a breakfast out. Also bought a clothes bobble remover that is not working so have requested a return, once upon a time, I would have just order another product.

Received my cashback for opening a credit card, that has been sent to my retirement fund, waiting for the cashback for the two savings accounts I opened to become available. Also closed a saving account that have dropped its interest rate and bought more premium bonds, fingers crossed for a win.

Going out for lunch later as we received a gift card for Christmas for a local pub, will be nice to be waited on and not have to do the washing up. :)
