Good morning,
We have a funeral to attend today Mr D's sister past away just before Christmas, very sad, as one of her daughters had a baby not long after she passed. Going to be an emotional day.
I have made some Chicken Soup for later as I don't think we will feel like eating much and there is chesses and crackers if we are hungry later this evening.
Yesterday I clean the fridge, there is not much in there to use up, as I did not buy loads, I have two pots of cream that I got reduced ready to make into butter, will do this before we leave this morning.

Happy New Year.
We were in bed by 9:30 last night, did not even hear any fireworks. Up bright and early this morning, got some cleaning done taken down the last of the Christmas decorations, just need to put them back into the loft.
Pay day yesterday, all savings pots have been filled today, sent money over to Mr T's Christmas saving scheme and started my 52 weeks saving challenge.
Aim for January is to spend as little money as possible on groceries, we still have two full freezers and plenty in the cupboards to use. Set a budget of £150.00, hopefully there will not be many yellow stickers around as I cant resist a bargain, especially where food is concerned as its not so expensive. Decluttering is also going to be ongoing in January.
Today is also a NSD 1/15.

Good morning,
Dog walked and back in the house, was cold out there this morning, even some ice about in parts. Dog is snuggled in his bed after his walking adventures, dreaming of the cats he seen.
Have a coconut cake baking in the oven, had some milk that needed using up by tomorrow, coconut has to soak in milk for half an hour in the recipe I use, have enough milk to last until the morning.
Today will be a NSD 2/15. Will have to do a small shop tomorrow as we need milk , bread and some fresh veg.
Going to try and make an extra £2026 this year, off to a good start.
Interest £ 211.90.
Cash Back Apps etc - £16.89.
I have open a new saving account for this money (not the interest), named retirement fund. Hopefully will have a good amount to spend on days out etc when i do retire in about 6 years time, looking at when I am 64.
Debt
Kitchen £ 9944.49 - 51 payments left.
Washer/Dryer - £425 - will be paid by the end of 2026. Took out a new CC and got cash back to buy the washer/dryer, card will be closed when paid. Both are 0% and I have the fund to pay off if needs be.
Rest of the day will be spend doing some house work, Christmas stuff still needs to go in the loft and I am going to make a ginger and lime cheesecake as well.

Also found 0.08p on the ground when we were on our walk this morning, will be put into my 1p saving challenge pot. Every penny helps.
