I have just reached the final straw with M&S
Tried to take back some of the sale stuff that eventually arrived and was told that because the price I paid was not on the delivery note, that I would only get back the price that was now on the system.
One item that I paid £7 for on the .com sale came up as 1p:eek: when I tried to take it back instore for a refund (something that I've always done with previous sale items)
The sa said that it's M&S policy now and there have been notices up instore for quite some time now.
Told her that I didn't buy them instore, bought them from .com and don't recall seeing anything to that effect on the website during the sale.
Anyone remember seeing this or has anyone else tried to take their .com sale stuff back for refund?0 -
Whoever told you this is totally wrong, the barcode on the dispatch note has the info that knows what you have paid, the sales assistant has obviously put it through wrong,ie by not scanning that barcode,if they put it in manualy by entering the dispatch date and code it will come up the last price, you still have the 90 days from when you purchased them,i would go back and stick to your guns if need be print off the order summery and if all else fails get them to ring m&s direct while ur there and they will tell them what you paid,i took a couple of things back last week that i purchased at the end of october which had since gone down, and got the full price i had paid.
Thanks, that happened to me too! The woman was so patronising & insisted I paid the price that was coming on the till. Luckily I wrote down what I paid before going to the shop as it wasn't marked on the receipt. She made me so furious!0 -

Getting more and more frustrated!
No response from my letter to Sir Stuart of 20th Jan.
No sign of the promised giftcards, despite now being told by Customer Services that they have been sent out. Just been told I have to wait 14 days after they have sent one to me in the post before I can complain that it hasn't arrived. It's now 6 days since they say they sent it (first class), but I have to wait over a week now to ring them again! By the way - this is the 2nd one the claim to have tried to send. I never got the first one. So no compensation received so far. I did receive a letter 2 weeks ago saying they had credited my online account with £20. I rang them back saying I didn't want that - as I'd have to lose £3.50 of it in P&P - and that I probably wouldn't get my order anyway! They removed the credit immediately.0 -

Totally right - I took a nightie back that I paid £39.50 for and had gone down to £7 (!) in the sale and they scanned my internet delivery form at the customer service desk and put the date off the delivery note onto their computer to get the price I paid. Cheeky beggars took my free delivery off the refund total price though!!!!!0 -

I did insist that she phone M&S direct while I was there and she said they told her the same thing, that it was the price that came up on the system that was to be refunded. She was really smug about the whole thing and I was on the verge of losing it with her when I left.
Have spoken to cs manager & sent everything back and have checked my account and the full amount I paid has already been credited to my account. Told her to cancel everything else I'd ordered cos I've had enough!
She said that she'll send a gift voucher out for my trouble ..yeah, yeah we'll see:rolleyes:0 -

Guess what!
Marks and spencers claimed that they had sent me 4 x 100 pounds in vouchers and they all been lost in the post. Hey my postman is not kitted out in Marks and Spencers clothes! I was told they would send me out 110 to make up for this....then....
I spoke to manager called Chris Duffield (I think operations manager)
He said he would look into it and then said they had been an error. On Friday he told me the vouchers had physically been sent out but on Tuesday they still have not arrived. (gone back down to £100) My postman said there are no postal delays at the moment.
He also said as an apology we will send you some flowers and a bottle of wine or champagne. Funny enough got the email saying he has sent me a bunch of flowers but no wine - why say it if your not going to give the customer it? For some reason they are not sending flowers until 11th of feb? I have to wait for the apology as well (so changed it to the 14th so they can give me valentines flowers lol)
Left a message for him and when I speak to him tomorrow I am not getting of the phone until he agrees that I can collect them from my local store. Marks and spencers are a utter joke, lies, lies and more lies. I used to really have faith in them to put mistakes right but never again folks!

I received a gift card and my apology letter from M&S today, dated 15th Jan. Why it has taken so long to arrive, I have no idea, but maybe now they are actually on their way out to people.
Hope everyone gets something sorted soon.0 -

I received some of the items today (i.e. Feb!!!) totalling £183.50. The rest of my order has been cancelled.
What is the best way to complain to M&S? Is it best to ring, email or write an old-fashioned letter?
TIA

Hi Hopeless
Remember the good ol' days when we got loads of goodies from M&S??!!
Just wanted to say that I have telephoned and emailed numerous times sinve this whole fiasco started! I have not actually written a 'proper' letter and so far not much has happened.
Good luck and let us know how you do.0 -

I have now waited over the 14 days since M&S say they posted out a letter to me and nothing has arrived surprise surprise!! I have just emailed them yet again. Also have been charged delivry charges yet again! Soo annoying! I ave received some things from the sale but nowhere near what I had ctually ordered it really is a complete joke and there is no logic to what you get. I seriously will probably never order onlin in a sale again and it makes me doubt the service completely now.0
