Relentlessdreamer said:Hi can I join please?
may I ask people on the forum how do they know how much they can pad everyday that doesn’t leave them short for the rest of the month?
From this daily amount I pay any adhoc travel, bits and pieces i need then chuck the rest to debt.
Won't work for all, but works for me
I also use prolific or vinted sales as PAD boosts.

Morning, PAD of £17.83 today
@Relentlessdreamer, I may do some double digits, but usually I tend to PAD small. The minimal amount is £1 from two accounts, so I will PAD £2, I know I should be able to afford that, but it is a guess! I use interest, cash back and random payments- refunds/cancelled spends etc to top up the PADs. Also if hubby earns a bit extra, I will do something with that as it isn't included in my usual basic budget. If I ran out before the next payday, I would just stop for the month, or if I felt it was going to upset my budget I would stop as wellWelcome!

Welcome @meeemee! Great to see more people joining us this year.
Although the title is Payment a Day (PAD) @Relentlessdreamer, you're not obliged to PAD everyday. Some people do and some people don't. Some people only PAD debts, some do savings and some do both. Some people PAD their mortgage value some don't. Some people may round down their account to the nearest pound or £5 (tilly tidying) and declare that. Some people may have the automatic round up feature on their bank accounts and count that too. Some count money from surveys, cashback, interest and so forth.
It's very much down to your budget and how you manage your finances. I don't PAD everyday, but I do PAD when I have made a minimum payment to a debt, any overpayments, money sent to savings (including cashback and money from surveys). I mainly use cash to spend as a way of controlling my spending, and so I have a few tins on the go for different denominations and when I put my spare change into the relevant tin, I declare it as a PAD. You have the freedom and flexibility to PAD your own way, that's why this challenge is so great!
My PADs today:
£4 to the £2 challenge
£1.50 to the 50p challenge
Total £5.50
